    Back wall construction
    Dave S.

Needed a replacement for a wrought iron fence that was rusted and falling down. I contacted George at GFA Masonry and Concrete. When he arrived for the onsite visit, he walked me through every step needed to construct a 65' slump stone wall. His expertise, knowledge, and professionalism gave me great confidence in his ability to do a great job. The quote for the work was extremely reasonable vs other contractors. His team of professionals were extremely courteous with our property and performed a flawless job building the wall and cleaning up their work area. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND GFA for any masonry needs and they will be referred to my friends and neighbors.

After obtaining 4 bids from various fence and masonry companies. We decided to go with GFA Masonry and concrete. George is the owner and came over to inspect the Job, out of my 4 bids George came in middle of the pack for price range not the most expensive but not the cheapest, what set him apart was his detailed proposal and he came across very professional and friendly. His competitors were only sending bids through txt message no personal interaction. He even offered to fix an irrigation line for my sprinklers that was in the way,he offered to reroute the pvc pipe under the existing concrete slab and future block wall. So we shook hands and he sent me his proposal that same night. We spoke the next day after a talk w/ the next door neighbor ( going half on this shared block wall ) we decided to move forward with George. George was able to start the next week we were quoted 4 days for 70ft long x 6ft high sand color T & G block wall w/ sand caps. Day 1 was demo of old wooden fence and trenches dug out for footing. Days 2-4 was completion of wall. His crew showed up on time everyday 7 am sharp and was usually here until 4pm except for the last day the we're done early by 2pm. We are happy with our wall, this looks much better than our previous wooden fence that was weather beaten and falling over due to AV wind. For anyone considering having a block wall built George and crew are your guys.

    Back patio extension

A year later, we decided to move on to Phase 2 of our outdoor project with driveway and patio extensions and a short wall along our front property lines. So impressed with GFA Masonry's previous work, we asked for a quote and George and his crew did not disappoint! They started on time every day and did not leave until the job was done. We threw him a curveball when we requested a change to the original plan and he gladly accommodated us. They relocated 4 sprinkler heads to allow for the new concrete, and left things in place for us to begin phase 3. GFA puts the customer first and does outstanding work. Several neighbors have asked for references and are having some work done. Don't decide on a concrete or masonry contractor without giving GFA Masonry a call!

During my morning walk, I saw GFA working on a project a few blocks from my house. I asked George (company owner) if he could come by and give a quote for block walls and a couple of steel gates. He promptly came the next day and emailed a quote with a complete breakdown of the intended job on company letterhead. I was extremely impressed by his professionalism and his quote was very competitive as well. After a few conversations with George, I knew he was a straightforward person. The job started bright and early, as he stated it would. All his employees were very professional and highly skilled. They wasted no time. As George promised, the project was completed in just a few days! The entire GFA crew, including George & George Jr., worked very diligently! Our block walls & gates looked magnificent! Hats off to the GFA Masonry & Concrete crew! I had a wonderful experience. The next concrete project I may have in the future, I will call GFA first! I highly recommend GFA!

First.. THEY ARE LICENSED. We were looking for someone licensed to do the job due to trust issues. We decided to go with GFA not only because of their good reputation but also because when we communicated with George it was amazingly fast and George is an awesome guy. Our wooden fence fell completely and George and his crew came and got the job done in 2 days. Priced well, done well, and done quickly?! Heck yes! I I will definitely recommend him any time! Thank you guys for your work. We will definitely be working with GFA again soon. :)

Excellent quality and service done on my backyard, side entrance, retaining wall and walkway. George and his crew did a great job on meeting our needs and went above and beyond with our expectations. The project was done super fast within 2 weeks. Highly recommend their service! Ryan C.

    Driveway before.

I did my homework got quotes from three contractors for a driveway replacement. The third contractor didn't respond to my request for a quote and the other two did arrive as promised. I highly recommend GFA, Masonary, because of their professionalism and knowledge. See photos the before and finished driveway.

We highly recommend GFA Masonry and Concrete. After getting 5 estimates on my mom's block wall, we made the best decision and went with GFA's quote. Demolished old wood fence, built the walls in 2-1/2 days. Cleaned up all the wood and excess dirt and hauled it away. Great job!

My wife and I recently purchased and brand new custom built home, but a new build means no yards or fences. We decided our first step would be a 4' foot courtyard type block wall. Not knowing anybody in masonry I dropped by our local masonry supply (Resource Building) and ask them for some references and they gave my several business cards but the very top card was GFA Masonry & Concrete, she tapped the top card and said start with George he's one of the best. So I did start with George, and with in a few days we had a plan drawn up, color block samples and an estimate, and it was very reasonable. We set a start date and George and his team were there by 07:00 laying out the walls and digging the footers. With the wall and concrete work done our backyard is on the way to becoming a peaceful retreat. George is absolutely great to work with and is very knowledgeable and has great ideas. George has a ton of years in his trade, and doing something you love for all those years you get pretty dam great at it. My wife and I highly recommend George Acosta and GFA Masonry & Concrete. Thank you George!!

We had a great experience with George and his team. They built a cylinder block wall for us and it turned out amazing. We had a very tight deadline but they were still able to deliver timely and quality work. Chelsea responded to all of our questions in a prompt manner. We'll be using them again in the future.

I waited 2 years and 4 months to bring to your attention because I knew that you would only offer excuses because that was how you handled the first large crack that I told you about. I also knew that the only remedy would be to completely tear out the new cement, destroying my new backyard, and then pouring concrete again. Another mess to clean up after your crew. These cracks are because Clifford initially placed the footings in the wrong location. He didn't listen to the paying client, and he had to re-position them. Rather than discussing any potential issues that might arise from repositioning them, or properly moving them to prevent this issue, he just moved them. The cracks are a result. I also figured if I have to look at these failures, so should you, and any potential consumer that is shopping for a cement contractor. When these cracks become a tripping hazard, as they quickly are, I will find a professional cement contractor to fix what your company has installed. CONSUMER BEWARE: Upfront friendly, quick response, and competitive pricing...if conflict or issues arise, don't expect resolution, expect excuses. Expect rudeness and unprofessionalism. He kept the job moving at a surprisingly fast pace and promptly resolved issues as they arose. Pricing was competitive -- we got multiple estimates and Way To Go came in reasonable without cutting corners. You can see it in the finish quality: the stonework is clean, the tile on the curved bench is precise, and the side yard pathway turned out better than we imagined. Our pool cleaner gave high praise on the resurfacing work when he arrived for the first cleaning! Once all the materials were ordered and ready, the actual work was completed in about a week, which I was really happy about. Tamir kept everything organized and the crew stayed on schedule. We found Alfredo on Yelp after obtaining multiple price quotes and could not be happier with the entire collaboration process. He understood what we were trying to do and was able to execute what we wanted after just giving him a few Pinterest pictures. He was amazing to work with, checking in with us every day and offering up suggestions along the way without being pushy. Renovation inevitably comes with unexpected turns, but his team was able to help us reasonably navigate rerouting water and gas line, working around sprinklers and adding electrical. We tore out our crumbling concrete driveway, expanded over parts of the lawn, and added pavers from the driveway to the backyard. Luxury Pavers built us a custom bench, seating area, privacy wall, added posts for shades and brought in new turf. We could not be happier with the final product and are excited to spend our Summer in the yard.

And he truly did. As a perfectionist and handyman myself, I can tell when something is done well and according to plan, and Alfredo consistently met my expectations in a friendly manner. Not to mention, my wife approved of and liked the job he did. He is highly skilled in his work. His crew is equally friendly and dedicated, always taking pride in the quality of their work. From the very beginning, working with him was a breeze, and his quote was more competitive than those from other contractors. I developed a good rapport with him and often reached out for technical questions and referrals. It's worth noting that both my wife and I appreciate the work he did, which is even more important than what I have already mentioned. Alfredo's project involved installing pavers in my front yard, and he expertly followed the blueprints I provided. Now, I am focused on completing the fountain and landscaping in the planters as outlined in the plan. I highly recommend his services and commend his leadership. Although I haven't had the chance to meet his wife, who is also a vital part of the company, I appreciate her contributions as well. Thank you Alfredo, sorry Mr. don't worry
