Great Place. Miner's Special pizza is loaded with Bacon, pepperoni & cheese, but was not greasy at all. Wife & I were very happy with our late lunch. read more

Hometown Pizza - Small Miner's Special Pizza and leftovers of Greek Salad (sorry, looked too fresh, just jumped in it) - Pizza Near Me - Ely, Nevada

For pizza in Ely this place is delicious! We've only eaten pizza here in town one other time and that other place was ridiculously expensive. Hometown pizza offers some great variety of specialty pizzas that are reasonably priced. We ordered two extra large pizzas one which was the Ely special and a pepperoni. We wanted to order chicken fingers but they did not have any on the menu so we ordered chicken wings instead. They had a variety of sauces to choose from and the ranch was very tasty. I would have to say that the chicken wings probably could've been cooked a little bit longer. They were a bit on the soggy side rather than crispy. Our order was more than enough food to feed five adults and two children. We even had leftover pizza for the next day. I did place this order over the phone and the wait was only 30 minutes. They do offer delivery however we opted to go to pick it up. I didn't realize they had a pick up window so I ended up going inside. There are two entrances into the building. I overheard one of the workers telling some walkins that their wait would be at least 50 minutes or more because they were so busy so if you plan on dining in you may want to call first. The inside was not super clean but it was reasonable. When I went to pay for my order they never asked me for my name BM over the phone so they had to find my order. They just took the name off of the caller ID so when I went in I was asking for the order under my name but it happened to be under my husbands. They do take cash or card here and I would highly recommend them if you are in town and craving some pizza. read more

This is a solid choice. We are staying at the KOA just outside of town and ordered delivery. Far more reasonable pricing than we are accustomed to, and overall great quality. We only ordered a pizza (half cheese, half pepperoni and olive), so I can't speak to the salads, wings, garlic bread, etc. Half and half pizzas don't always come out great, so it was nice to have a perfect pie on both sides. Happy to have this option after a long day on the road. read more

Delicious pizza, delivered to our hotel and the driver even brought paper plates and napkins for us.

This place used to be really good, I would eat there often and we would often go as a family group but later, last few months or so it's really gone DOWNHILL, today was the last straw, horrible pie-it was cold, dry, hardly any pepperoni, thin and tasteless, I think they gave an old pie that someone didn't pick up, (the box had a scratched out number) you would think that they would have more pride in what they do. Not going back. read more

Very limited toppings and just not that great for the price! I would not recommend this pizza place.

Good pizza. Pie could have had a little more sauce, but I'm a sauce guy, so it might be just right if you're not. Had it delivered to the RV park. There is a $20 minimum order cost and then the delivery charge on top of that, so just be aware. Delivery driver came pretty quickly, and was very cordial. read more

Pizza crust was too soft. Not too many pizza place in Ely. So we don't have too many choice. For a quick lunch it's okay but if you expect good pizza you'll be disappointed. read more

It doesn't get any worse than this place. We ordered "The Miner" pizza last night. Wow! It was that bad. The crust was spongy and the pizza had no taste. Ely,Nevada doesn't offer a lot and they shouldn't offer this. Save your money and just go to McDonald's. read more

This is hands down the best pizza in Ely. Fresh ingredients and the right amount of toppings. Decent size at a reasonable price. Recommend them 100%. read more

Love there chicken Alfredo pizza anyone that like chicken Alfredo pasta recommended for you

Considering myself abit of a "pizza guy" If the dough is made in-house, good balance of yeast to sugar and salt mix as far as dough taste goes. But the consistency was flat. Amateur attempt of a New York style handtoss. Like, the dough was too cold, when they stretch it or passed it's hold date and died out. Dough is everything. Also, we ordered an 18" cheese. I don't know if they don't weigh out their cheese but there was way too much.too heavy on the tummy.Lactose overload for 2 days if you know what I mean. I'm sure being really the only pizza joint in Ely this place has demand and loyal locals, but quality and quantity need not much, but a little attention read more

6 hours into our drive we were hungry and voted on pizza to go. The pictures looked good so we called ahead and grabbed it on our way through town. It was good. I mean like really good!! Perfect amount of crispy crust and the toppings were generous. Very flavorful. We will definitely stop again every time we drive through town! read more

I want to thank the individuals at Hometown pizza for being extra kind! I have Celiacs Disease and there are very few options late at night. I came in tonight late and there was a mix up on my order. The individual on the phone kindly corrected the mistake. Otherwise I would have had gone to bed hungry. Thank you and I hope everyone supports this business! The pizza was very very good! read more

Got a flyer about Hometown Buffett being under new management and that their Lunch Buffett was open again. So the flyer reads Adults: $11.99, Kids (3-10years old): $6.99. My son is 2 years old and the cashier (female), told me that my 2 year old had to pay full price. I explained to her that my 2 year old should be free cause he isn't 3 yet. She was very persistent that I pay for him. I asked her again, why should my 2 year old pay if he's not 3 yet? She just saying he has to pay, up to you. So, I asked if there was a manager I could speak with and she said, he not here today. I asked if there was someone above her that I could speak with about this situation and she got irritated that I asked and she claimed that she didn't understand what I was saying. She then asked another co-worker for help and he was even worse. I explained the situation and he even said, I don't matter what age, your kid pays or he can watch you guys eat. That got me enraged and I left. Don't know if I can even come back to to Hometown Pizza!!! read more

Customer service was good, pizza was done quick and it was amazing! Would definitely recommend. 5 stars for sure!

Omg. Fricken delicious. Must stop and get pizza when driving through Ely. It exceeded my expectations and literally hit the spot.

When the hotel quit making pizza I tried it. A two topping (pepperoni and mushroom) pizza to go was ~20.00, including tax. Kind of spendy for five bucks worth of ingredients and electricity. The next pizza cost a dollar or two more. The last one cost more than pizza #2. Always the same toppings and size. I think the food is a-ok, but I haven't had a raise in a while, so I had to find more cost-effective ways to fill my belly. read more

We are touring Ely and just dropped by this pizza place. When we walked in we were greeted by an employee, another was sweeping the floor, everyone else was busy making pizza. I felt welcome, it's a really clean restaurant. We had the Ely special pizza and half cheese and some breadsticks. Everything was great. Really good food. I'm glad we stopped. read more

For customer service Ordered and was told 30 minutes. Got there in 30 minutes and waited for another 10. The cashier walked right past me when I told her I was there to pick up my pizza. An older couple who had obviously been waiting a long time also asked when theirs would be ready. I told two more people what I was there for before the cashier finally rang me up. The older couple got their pizza and commented they hoped the pizza was better than the customer service. The fourth person I told I was there to pick up my pizza tried to charge me again. The owner finally came when she heard me that time. Almost 45 minutes for a pizza that was sitting on the oven. The pizza was good though even after driving three hours to get it home. read more

We stopped in about 830 at night and the food was good. The ingredients was fresh and it was a great eat for the end of the night. Was a great recommendation that we found here on Yelp.
