Really cool and friendly place
William G.

I started off with a hot cup of coffee and it had very good flavor and was fresh, I really would assume that being a mile off the highway most travelers would not stop here. Take time to come to this place, it's great! The waitress is humming a song while she is working which tells me slot about the working conditions here. I ordered the Denver omelet with crispy hash browns and an English muffin, This was a great choice, the flavor was spot on and after 5 or 6 sips of coffee , it was being refilled. The customer service was above and beyond. At the table there was a good selection of jelly and a good selection of hot sauce, yum! I would recommend this spot for sure and I'll be back !

Grilled cheese and added ham was just okay. Tater tots were good.

2/6/25: Ordered the Chicken fried steak breakfast, gravy was bland, Chicken fried steak was super thin, and dry, hash browns had an odd flavor that I couldn't figure out , so I didn't eat them and eggs were dry.

YES, YES, Yeeeaaaass!! What a find! On our way to Oregon and made a stop for breakfast. Found this spot via Yelp. Small location with a true hometown feel. I ordered the Tater Tot bowl with chunks of chicken fried steak and gravy on the side! The tots where perfectly fried not greasy at all. Let's talk about that gravy! Nice and thick and full of flavor. Big portion that could easily be shared. My mom ordered the Jalepeno Scramble. Great portion and full of flavor. Not too spicy but does have a kick. You can tell that the Chorizo is fresh. This is definitely a must stop. We will be back once we are in the area.

The "Veggie Omelete with Chorizo " was the best Omelete I have had in a loooong time and I'm old.....

Cream cheese "stuffed" French toast

Cute small little cafe. I saw the review of the stuffed cream cheese French toast and decided to give it a try even though the review wasn't good. That was my mistake. It came with "fresh fruit" but the strawberries were so old and soggy i couldn't even pick them up with my fork. My mom got the bowl with sausage and tater tots and that was delicious! Would come next time but would get something else.

Menu is very limited. Only ordered coffee. And server's smile and service were gone.

First of all it's totally cute inside with a retro feel! There is also an ice cream shop that is attached to the restaurant. Convenient and great treat after eating next door! Since we had already shared a breakfast earlier we got the biscuits and gravy. Very good with generous amount of gravy and not too peppery! Quick service in a busy atmosphere! Beer and wine available. DEBBIE was so sweet..she brought alittle bacon for Wilbur my dog! ( I only gave him a tiny bit...he's a puppy!). They had some delicious looking pies as well! It was a Great experience with friendly locals and travelers!

There were already two tables seated and a few tables filled right after us and we were greeted immediately, given menus and offered drinks. She was the only server and was super chill and efficient. This is straight up a road side diner. I ordered the I-5 traditional breakfast of two eggs (over medium - which is not always done right, sadly, but they were perfect here), 4 bacon (so good), hash browns (not salted...which is fine because then it's not over salty, but they really lacked any flavor), and wheat toast. Randy ordered the B. A. T. Benedict (bacon, avocado, tomato) that came with hash browns. Hollandaise was bland so that was a bummer. Randy felt the same about his hash browns. There are tables, booths and a couple tvs around an open space.

Ordered some with my family and everyone agreed it was well done. I ordered a latte with honey, and they mixed the honey into the foam, and the flavor was consistent throughout the drink. Most coffee places I've been to do not mix the honey well, and it ends up at the bottom of the cup. They did a good job here with that. The crepes, they have gluten-free options for both sweet and savory, and they had a lot of different kinds on the menu. I got a beef and cream cheese with bell peppers and onions crepe, and my sister a peaches and cream. Good presentation, and the crepes flavorful; they didn't taste like preserved ingredients from an extruder. I didn't take any photos beforehand, because I didn't expect it to be so good. Next time. Thank you for the breakfast!

I was told after ordering/paying that they were out of bell peppers so I said to put extra onions and some tomatoes. Instead, I got no cheese and the small amount of veggies pictured. My first and only 2 bites were just crunchy crepe, no cheese or veggies. Also, I understand that they stopped taking call in orders, but there should at least be an option to talk to someone about literally anything else.
