I don't like to leave negative feedback. But this is not a friendly neighborhood store. HP clearly does not value its customers. At least not as anything other than something to be taken advantage of. Do NOT sign their contract. (I did not, though they say I did because I signed an order for materials, where they hid a 4 page document shrinky-dinked on the back the page. Legally, it was not binding. Still, it cost me $7K in Legal Fees to fight them, and an Additional $12K to Replace their shoddy materials and workmanship, much of which had been broken and repaired upon arrival, then installed despite defects. A large portion of the kitchen was left undone because the material shattered before the installers were able to slap it in.) They offered no acceptable compromise or solution when the job was done wrong other than for me to pay double plus their outrageous markup to have it redone. The owner's best suggestion was that I "just live with it." Their contract is a one sided, get out of jail free card for them. They accept no liability whatsoever for materials or workmanship, and they will fight tooth and nail to uphold it regardless of legality. They treated us poorly, did crappy work, and are sneaky, greedy, and dishonest. We had to rip out and re-do our entire kitchen, hall bath, and fireplace surround with another company, after needing an attorney to fight them on an unsigned contract which stated we could not remove the materials unless they gave us the go ahead to do so. Overall, I spent $40K with this shop for flooring (which I had to get them to price match GreatFloors for $8k less than their original quote, and they did not even install it - my contractor did the work), tile for 3 baths (material only), and countertops they installed throughout my home (more than a third of which had to be ripped out and replaced). They are grossly overpriced on all items. (I purchased my entire cabinet package elsewhere for $13K less than what they quoted on the same package.) However, HP's designer was sweet and amazingly talented, not to blame for the fiasco, and the only reason I spent any money with them at all. Bottom line; find your own designer and buy elsewhere. read more
