A mug with lid $14.99

We went to Home Goods and looked around the store. They had a lot of Halloween stuff out. They were clean in the store. My friend found a lot of snoopy stuff at this store. The staff was friendly and my favorite area was stocked with different foods. I would recommend going to this store. If in the area again I would stop in to see what is available.

A friend of mine recently took it upon herself to remodel my living room. According to her, it needed a "woman's touch." I told her that I had a very tiny budget for any kind of interior re-design. She assured me that for under $500 she could guarantee me a whole "Trading Spaces/Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" kind of experience. Needless to say, I had to take her up on the challenge. Sure enough, she came in gave my old living room a much-needed cosmetic make-over (and for just $440). So how did she accomplish this? Simple answer: she purchased stuff at HomeGoods in San Rafael. She got me a rolling bar-cart; a number of colorful throw-pillows and home accents (eg candle sticks, a set of decorative antlers; vases; table lamps; and some other creative knick-knacks). The end result is a living room that I'm now proud to live in. No joke (see attached photo). My friend gave me an apartment make-over for under $500, and it's mostly thanks to the fine goods she purchased at HomeGoods! I can't wait to see what she and HomeGoods do for my kitchen and deck!!

Didn't expect this stain - won't wash out

Great store, big selection of merchandise, helpful personnel. Over the years I've purchased so many great things, at great prices.

Store is very messy. Needs more organization. The young guy manager is not nice to the workers. I overheard him talk down on an employee.

Ask the Community - HomeGoods

Does anyone know if they are open yet post covid?

Soo soo sooo sad to say no, they are not open yet :-(

When will this location reopen?

I just looked on Home Goods website- it says the San Rafael store will have a grand opening on September 8, 2019. Not sure if there will be a "soft" opening before this.

I am a certified Project Manager and licensed Mechanical Engineer, so I know what good project execution looks like. MKC is the best residential contractor I have worked with in my 30 years of home ownership. MKC employs a process with heavy emphasis on planning the work up front followed by quality execution by the craftsmen. Scott (owner of MKC) honestly strives to land each project with the highest quality work done at a reasonable price. My project was mainly to remodel a kitchen and master bathroom. Additionally, we removed two walls (one load bearing), replaced 1/2 the house windows, addressed two different legacy structural issues, replaced fireplace, all interior doors, all baseboard and trim, all flooring and about a dozen other upgrades (add ceiling fans, add additional door, replace garage door header, toilet in 2nd bath, etc.). Basically, I received a new house. The work was completed in a little over 4 months as planned adding time for the new scope and structural issues. The cost was as expected. MKC costs were nearly exact to expected. Material costs were higher than planned due to our selection of materials vs assumed. The quality of the work was outstanding whether it was by MKC employees or subcontractors. I highly recommend the MKC team for a kitchen or major home remodel.

Janet was always available when I needed to have questions answered. They were excellent and we are so happy with the job they did. I've never recommend contractors because we've been basically disappointed almost every time. They also worked with our budget and found us beautiful cabinets. They have a great sense of design and color and they are a family own business. I really recommend them. It was also nice to have someone understand our budget and try to help. I have PTSD from others doing bad, work or being lazily and unfair. I can honestly say it was a pleasure working with them. Of course we had normal problems that had nothing to do with them but they were patient and understanding. We Interviewed 4 different companies and no one was interested in us unless we could spend our life savings. If you need a kitchen and someone has a great sense of design, check out her in the kitchen. I feel like we got lucky.

However, after our first meeting with Manon Demers, we decided to move forward with the remodel. We came in with some ideas of our own--such as navy blue lower cabinets with white upper cabinets--and Manon was able to enhance our vision by presenting excellent samples and offering thoughtful, practical guidance. She visited our home before demolition, helped us visualize cabinet and appliance placement, and prepared detailed plans for the project. We relied heavily on Manon's expertise for the cabinetry and countertops, while selecting our own appliances, cabinet hardware, lighting, and wall treatments. The project planning began in June and was completed by the end of October. Working with Manon was a pleasure throughout the entire process. The 2nd guy left and the "faucet guy went back to his computer to answer our question. Two minutes later another employee asked him for help on her computer. "Faucet guy" stopped helping us and went over to help his coworker. After several minutes he returned to us but was again interrupted by his coworker for hep with another customer. Once again he stopped helping us and went to her assistance. Now 15 minutes had passed and we still had no answer to our questions. We finally decided to heck with it and left. "Faucet guy" was still busy helping his associate with her customer. We went home found what we wanted on line at Amazon, got it cheaper and had it show up in 24 hours. I bought a kitchen faucet a couple years ago and was having it installed. It unfortunately was missing a part. We called Jackson and they told us it's a manufacturer issue, not their issue. We kept putting a stink and they finally gave us the show room one. Before that, we bought a toilet that did not fit. We had all of the parts, it was completely new, and put back into the same box. Again, they put up a stink but finally relented and gave us a different toilet. Just recently, we were in looking at toilets again and were being helped by someone. Mind you, this person is *helping* us. Another worker comes and begins to speak to her, making us wait 5-10 minutes. Complete and utter waste of time. Again, I truly want to support this store. But, I have been incredibly disappointed with the customer service on numerous accounts.

Finished product is beautiful, but the process and project management is not as advertised…read more We met with 5 different contractors to get bids for our small bathroom remodel project. Green Bay Remodeling was the highest bid by 20-50%. We selected Green Bay because they pitched themselves as a turnkey solution and I would simply sit back and just make payments. In reality I needed to be involved constantly to keep this project on track. A few examples: - Sourcing: In the sales meeting, we were told that materials would be sourced by them from their "catalog" and shipped from "their warehouse". I liked the simplicity of that, but in reality, they order things from online vendors like Wayfair and Home Depot and shipped directly to my home. This turned my garage space into their warehouse for nearly 2 months. Also, it is just bad business to ship heavy, breakable things - for example, we had 2 toilets delivered to our home in giant packages - both of which were broken on arrival. (there's a hardware store less than a mile from my home that has toilets in stock) - Communication: We were promised daily updates, this did happen once the construction work started because they often wanted a payment, but we went for long times not hearing during planning process. - Timeline was set by PM as 4 weeks from sign date for permits and planning (closer to 8 weeks due to absences and avoidable omissions on permit application) and 4 weeks for construction (that was met with multiple issues and creative workarounds deployed). - Presence: We understood the PM would be present on the site and would be the main point of contact, but he was missing at key times - including during an inspection with the city permitting department - Attention to detail: Materials were sourced late or incorrectly (a 60 inch vanity ordered rather than 72inch) and broken materials were not identified immediately. We made the construction timeline but only with some creative solutions and lots of legwork. Overall, the guys at GBR are nice, charming people and the finished product looks good. But I give that credit to the amazing sub-contractor who completed the entire project. He covered for their issues and went out of his way to solve problems so that the finished product looked amazing and was finished on time. I would give this person a 5 star review, but I would not engage GBR in the future as this does not reflect value for money.

The bathroom was completely transformed. What started as a very dated space is now modern, clean, and beautifully finished. The attention to detail in the tile work, fixtures, lighting, and overall layout really shows the quality of their craftsmanship. It honestly feels like a spa compared to what we had before. They also repaired and rebuilt sections of our deck where there was structural rot. The work was done carefully and correctly, and the finished deck looks fantastic. A special thank you to our project manager, Ari, who was excellent throughout the process. Renovations inevitably come with a few surprises, but Ari handled everything professionally and made sure issues were addressed quickly and properly. His communication and follow-through made the whole project run smoothly. Overall, we had a great experience with Green Bay Remodeling and would definitely recommend them to anyone considering a remodel.

And we would use the cutout from the cooker as a backsplash for our coffee bar. But the slab was a little too short and had a missing corner. The backsplash would also be short by a couple of inches. This is where Frank and his skilled crew come in. Frank gave us very helpful suggestions on moving the electrical outlets. We had some wacky ideas on dealing with the missing corner and the too short backsplash. Frank was very patient with us and suggested patching the missing parts instead. He also sent a crew to thicken the plywood for the countertop for better support. He also added reinforcement on the slab. Turns out labradorite lemurian is on the fragile side. The end results were amazing. I know there's a patch, but I can't find it. We also compared the raw slab with the countertop. They didn't just cut the slab to size and installed them, but there was some thoughts and designs on what looked best. Extra shoutout to his crews for being detail oriented and professional.
