Where has this store been all my life???! I came for the first time and was amazed by the selection. It's like the home section of TJ Max on steroids. It's amazing! It's a little cluttered and hard to navigate, but there are lots of awesome things to be found. I can't wait to go back and buy more things I didn't know I needed for my home! The staff was also very friendly and helpful, which is always a big plus! Minus one star for being so cluttered and for some of the items not being clearly marked. read more

The manager Chris is the reason for this bad review. I refuse to go to a store that has management that lacks customer service. I really wanted to get this decoration piece but it had a small damage on top, small but visible. I requested that if I could get a discount, I can use the money to fix it. The manager not only refused but was also rude. I went to another home goods location. Found the same piece with the same damage. I asked the store manager, she not only fixed the damage herself but also gave me the discount! Maybe Walnut manager need to learn something about customer services. Every single time I go into HomeGoods at the register I usually see this old lady working at the 1st register. She is so slow at working. But that isn't even the problem. Like I get it if you need a moment to figure things out but at least do your job right. Today I went in and saw her again when I had to return something. I knew my return back would be at least $33. But I saw on the first receipt she back I only got $31 back?? Some people might say that it's only $2 so no big deal right? But who would want to pay for something they didn't even buy?! I saw something added this extra charge "+ tea". I was so confused because I don't know what this is and I was just returning something. And so I asked her and she has this horrible attitude and said she doesn't know. If you didn't scan it how did it get there? Magic? Like is it not your fault? What are you looking at me like that for? She didn't even apologize. I asked her if she called her manager and said "I DID" in a rude tone. I waited so long and her manager finally came. The service here is horrible and I will not be coming back. Imagine having to wait TWENTY MINUTES just to return something. read more

Love going to this location after visiting Tjmaxx next door. I don't always find something when I come in here, but that doesn't stop me from coming back and buying something next time around. Great selection of home decor to bathroom accessories and bath rugs, storage baskets, fake plants. I like that they have seasonal items as well. There's a nautical accents aisle and they also sell dog treats. This place is amazing! And they have A/C so it's perfect for a hot inland day. The rugs were really inexpensive but I didn't need a rug. I bought a very fancy paper towel holder and I got an extra discount off the price since there were a few scratches. Ross' home section is definitely cheaper but the selection at Home Goods is fabulous. read more

This is my first time to shop here and my first time to comment I just felt like I needed to share what I experienced in this store. So I bought 2 pieces of paintings earlier with a tag price (the same price 6.99). I fall in-line like a normal customer. I came to the cashier to pay. So here comes the cashier " oh hi! That looked good I didn't even see that, how much is it?" I showed the the price and She saw it and like oh I don't think it's the right price, I'm sorry ( without scanning the merchandise.) you know someone might've change the price. The manager beside her I'm sorry these two just arrived and It's actually 12.99. So the cashier ripped off the tag price and said I'm sorry these are not the real price. I said I'm Not taking it if it's it's not 6.99 COZ THE EXACTY WHAT IT SAYS in the price tag. I was disappointed coz I want those and fall in line for these paintings so it was a waste of Time and energy. It was my first time to experience cashier would suddenly decide the price of the merchandise upfront without even scanning it. I left but I felt that it's so wrong and came back to talked the manger again ( her name is mercy) I told her how disappointed I was on how unorganized your item tag prices are and how misleading it is. The cashier came again to back up the voiceless manager said " someone might have change the tag price I'm not saying you did it ". ( she said it to me 3 times as if she was insinuating something that I did it with her condescending attitude. ) Contrary to what the manager said it's the old price from a different department. I'm like so how are we goin to trust these prices in this store if they are not real. I honestly said I don't care about your excuses. Ive wasted time and energy. I was expecting the manager would say oh it was our mistake I'll give it to you with that price or at least would say " I'm sorry about what happened, I couldn't give it you with that price but I can give it to you with the discount. I finally got a chance to visit Homegoods and it was so fun just walking up and down the aisles. There was so much stuff I wanted to buy but I had to stay focused or else my wallet would have suffered. I wanted to add color to my newly remodeled bathroom so I bought a faux canvas painting and 2 small faux plants. I also purchased a picture for my laundry room... All for just under $60. I was super impressed with the variety, from glitzy to conservative, there is something for everyone! They also have tons of seasonal merchandise and gift items. We decided to stop by HG since we were next to TJ's anyway (great move on their part). Lots of great decor and designs suited for different tastes. Prices are okay -- spied a hot pink studded seat for $200 and a blue retro mini fridge for $180. Both are more than I could spend for furniture -- maybe if I ever get a splurge I guess. =) They sell throw rugs (~$200), kitchenware, bathroom stuff, and tons of xmas decorations. Towels ranged from $8+ (the day we went)... coworker tells me that it's a bit hit or miss with the prices, so you'll just have to come back. This area creates a nice furniture/ interior design "trifecta" -- bath body and beyond, pier 1 (across the street) and homegoods. =) Great place to get inspired. =) read more

NT (formerly SO) and I love perusing this store in both San Dimas and Walnut. We went to this one when we were in the area and there are some great finds, making me think I need to come here for every gifting opportunity, esp looking at the gourmet food section - coconut oils, beautifully packaged teas and artisan olive oils. We were looking for specific decor but couldn't find anything that passed muster. We did find Aden + Anais swaddles for half the original price! Steal! We usually shop at the Glendora location but checked this store out. The store was a little messy which was ok. The issue was the line and cashiers. The line was super long and only one register was open and apparently she was struggling. They finally added a second one named Yesenia whom called me over then proceeded to have a long conversation on the phone as we waited. I couldn't believe it. The line literally was out of the walkway. I asked her if she could end her call and help and she responded rudely she was talking with her manager. I told her it was rude of her manager keeping her on the phone with a long line. She hung up and finally they called for help. Others in line thanked me. She also "accidentally" dropped my beverage. I love shopping and walking around home goods. However, they have 2 employees, usually younger 20 something year olds at the front entrance. I understand they might be sanitizing off carts/collecting a head count but they literally ignore me every time I walk in. It feels like they pick and chose who they greet. The 2 employees will continue talking to each other without acknowledging you. It's not welcoming at all. Hopefully they read this and learn better customer service. read more

I'm a fan!!! Lots of great finds for the home. I've called this branch before looking for a particular table, and they were super helpful (even though they didn't have it). Clean, well organized - as most HGs are. I do feel they have less movement in their stuff, or maybe they get stuff later - for example a cake stand that has been sold out at the El Segundo branch for a couple months now, I saw there today! You do have to come often cuz their merchandise is always changing. And what you see is what you get. There is no "back stock." So if you see something you like, snatch it up, cuz most likely it won't be there when you come back next time. I especially love this branch, cuz there are a bunch of stores you can hit while you're in the area - there is a TJ Maxx next door, and down the street there is a Pier 1, Kohls, Petsmart, and Michaels (for all your home needs). Plus for sustenance there is an Chick-Fil-A, In-n-out, Ten Ren, and a Fresh and Easy. I love this whole area! I will most definitely be back! read more

I recently picked up some items for 30 dollars which I'll use for a birthday party. I am a huge Home Goods enthusiast and i have to say that this specific location is on the less appealing side as far as the store being crowded with unorganized items along with lots of broken mirrors and items as well. The employees aren't as friendly as they can be, and it pretty much gives me anxiety to visit this location because of these factors. Slightly disappointed this HomeGoods did not meet my expectations and it did not live up to what I'm accustomed to when I walk into a HomeGoods. I visited this location on my way home I decided to make a detour as I like to visit brand new HomeGoods that I've never visited before upon arriving the surrounding area got me very excited thinking that I was going to find the most amazing fine ever but when walking through the front doors it made me feel like I was back in the year 2000 the store looked old it did not scream bright festive and it didn't say come pick me up and buy me. No worries I still gave it a chance I've been HomeGoods that looked on the other side but as I walked up and down the aisles everything just seems so cluttered and powered up on each other I didn't find anything that made me want to just scream and instead I was ready to leave after the first 10 minutes which is out of the norm for me because normally I can spend a good hour and a half to two hours and HomeGoods No Lie! I probably won't return to this location like I said it was a slight detour so it is out of the way and it did not impress me maybe next time I'll go the opposite way to the HomeGoods on the other side of the 57 off of Lone Hill hopefully they have better results read more

I made a purchase at the Flatbush Junction Brooklyn store. I had an issue but was uncomfortable returning to store as I had used the product. I sent an email to their head office. The response was amazingly good and after sending them proof of purchase I received a gift card covering the price I'd paid. Love their stuff. Wait times are usually long, but I know that going in. Tried to buy two stools at their Merrick NY store . One was marked down. The other was not. When at the register the cashier ask The manager For help In discounting the second stool. The manager said the one was marked down due to a mar on the seat. The other one needs to stay full price. It's all natural wood. Both seats had natural mars. She then quietly said to the cashier "it's a pricing error don't sell it to them". She basically lied to me. Another manager came over to help and when I started to tell her the issue she cut me off saying "I just got here!!". I did not buy either stool and will no longer shop there. Instead of the staff stocking new items with their big carts blocking aisles, they should be cleaning up the shelves and helping customers. I love Home goods! The title says it all, they sell things we use at home: furniture, stationary, towels, bedding, headphones, kitchen goods, baking goods, pet essentials, baby and children items. I love coming here, another place to find a present for a friend. The parking lot is very big and easy to find parking! The prices are fairly reasonable, but my friend thinks its slightly pricy. However, the quality and products are excellent! Some items are limited and once someone buys it, you wont be able to find the same product again. I like the antiqueness of the design and the prices! They have some dept store items but reduced down making more affordable for shoppers. Last but not least, their service is great and prompt in helping customers. read more

I walked into the store and I noticed they only had one counter stool of the style I was looking for. An associate by the name of Geoff was w3allking by and I asked him if that was the only stool and confirmed it was. Geoff offered to call a couple of other stores for me to verify if they had the similar stool, but unfortunately he had no luck finding another stool. Although I did find what I wanted, Geoff went out of his way to make the calls for me and he was very friendly and professional. I love to shop in my neighborhood home goods, they have good quality products, most of staffs are friendly, however, the store manager Linda needs seriously training learn how to run the store, especially learn how to professionally training a new staff, if you don't have time to train them, don't put them on the counter during a busy weekend!! Last Saturday I had bought 5 white bowls, but I need 5 more, I asked sales rep to call other stores, see if they have same products, since the sales girl was new, she called several times but the phone didn't go through, so she asked her manager for assisting, while I was waited quietly, store manager keep insisted call this or call that number, but she didn't even bother physically come and training her, I was there more than 15 min to waited for their help. Finally I insisted manager should make the call, she did and impatience told me Brea and Chino phone line were all busy! (With such a nasty attitude!!) As soon as I step out the store, I immediately called Brea and Chino stores, I must have a magic phone, both sores had pick up the phone right the way... The manager was yelling through the store for her employees to go on their lunches and take their breaks. I found that a bit odd and unprofessional. NEVER will i go back to this particular Home Goods. Was followed around store by an employee while i was browsing items. I was searching for a gift for a loved one. Such an uncomfortable shopping experience. The employee was not hiding the fact that she she was following and spying on me. I could not deal with it any longer and i put my basket back and left the store because i was feeling very uncomfortable. Fortunately, i went to another Home Goods in Brea. Stopped by here on my lunch break to look for a gift and some decor. They had a decent selection and I was able to find the gift I was looking for, along with cute wrapping paper. However, the checkout line was very, very long. Regarding the products, this location along with Mira Loma, have the best items (both, furniture and smaller selection). Being in Walnut, one expects quality of guest relations. I am disappointed to report that customer service is not at all a priority at this site, ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Let me begin by saying that prior to this review, I had made several attempts to speak with floor manager, Betty, who never came to the phone. Likewise, neither did the employee that answered call feel it necessary to update me about the delay. Having purchased a medium size furniture item this morning, I asked for assistance to have item brought outside the store to be loaded into a personal vehicle. The young lady, first: opted to bring the damaged version (located at the front of store, instead of my specified item that I was, literally, standing next to in the middle of the store). While it may have been more convenient for her, the item was damaged, and NOT what I asked or paid for. Second: when bringing the error to her attention, she, begrudgingly gave the silent treatment through process of obtained requested item through loading process. Homegoods is a retail establishment, as such, guest relations is NOT a curtesy, it is a reasonable expectation. Additionally, Homegoods reputation is for quality, unlike bargain stores like BigLots, where this lack of client care would be a standard. In short, shop another location, elect Walnut location only as a last resort. read more

I bought all 3 of my no drip Oxo mugs from here all for under $7 each. Those things at TArget and other places cost $10-20 a piece. I've also bought my double insulated cups here for cheap. It's the same as Marshalls,Ross,TJ Maxx setup and you can find many diamonds in the haystack. read more
