I love Homegoods, it's one of my favorite places to shop. They are always getting in new merchandise. I find the better the area, the better the merchandise. I love that I can find beautiful bedding, pillows, towels, all kinds of accessories to decorate my home at discounted prices. Homegoods sells furniture, small appliances, lighting, carpets, family games, pots & pans, food, spices, candy you name it, they sell it. They even have an entire pet section with toys, beds, and treats. This is the perfect place to come if you need a special gift or to replace an item that needs updating. This is a great place to find wrapping paper, cards, or decorative gift bags, seasonal items all at discounted prices. It's one stop shopping. The staff is very nice. When I can't find something, they will check to see if there's more in the back. You will definitely save money here.

The shop is located in an old house, which adds to the charm but limits those with mobility issues As the only way in are steep stairs. There is a nice selection of pocket books, clothing and accessories. The young lady who works there was very friendly and helpful. I purchased a pocketbook for my vacation and fell in love with another pocketbook but decided against buying it for the price. Ah, girls and their pocketbooks because I couldn't stop thinking of it! I came back the same day, before closing and ended up buying the second pocketbook for work. I put the pocketbook in my closet and left for vacation with the casual pocketbook. Well this morning before heading back to work, I decided to take it out and opened it to put my wallet in and saw it was damaged..ugh! Mind you, I should have inspected the purse further before buying it. But I was so happy with the first purchase that I didn't think to inspect the interior. Seeing the price, I am annoyed that I wasn't told about this. Look at the picture! I loved the store, but would be more cautious about purchasing a pocketbook here. I have only shopped at this store a few times in the last year or so as the hours (11 am - 6 pm) at that time were not the most convenient. Have never seen anyone else in the store. The second experience was such a turn off that I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I was not made aware of their return policy until after I made a purchase. The policy is not prominently displayed in store (see photo) and so it was only visible once I opened the link in the text message of the receipt. Items have to be returned within 10 days and even then are only eligible for a store credit. Never experienced any store having such an unreasonable and inflexible return policies. I returned several items within the required time frame totaling around $68, and asked the store to make an exception to get my money back and not a store credit as I was not made aware of the return policy until after I bought the items. The clerk said the machine is not set up to do that. I asked her again to make an exception and she says she had to contact .the owner, to which I said fine. They were on the phone for several minutes as the owner had to know the items returned, which seemed weird as why should that matter? The owner refused to refund my money, so now I have a gift card for a store I don't wish to shop in because of they way they treat their customers. But they had their goods back in a timely manner that they can resell. Seems fair, right? I initiated a credit card dispute ruth my credit card company which I am waiting to be resolved. Such a waste of time.

That being said, I would recommend 2nd Ave Thrift store in Union (very cheap and fashionable) or Anthem off North Union Avenue (for fashion and in-style clothing) for those younger and smaller women looking to go thrifting.

I passsed by around 4:30-ish pm and there was a notice on the door saying the shopkeeper would be back at 5. The notice said: "Stepped out to Laundromat and Post Office. Return 5 pm." It doesn't make sense to me to go do laundry during business hours? Shouldn't errands like that be done during the lunch hour if anything? But it didn't bother me at first I just walked around and came back at 5. And waited. And waited. I waited 1 hour for the shopkeeper to come back (until 6pm) and still no sign of the person coming back. After a while it was kind of hot to wait outside and I felt really weird standing outside for so long so I stepped into a café and watched from the seat. By the time it was 6, I couldn't even check out the vintage shops in other neighboring towns I was hoping to. All in all a disappointing day. It was just kind of unprofessional and disrespectful of customers' time and energy. In total I came, spent 90 minutes, energy, gas, parking money, etc etc just to come see this one store and waited outside the store for a significant amount of time kind of looking like an idiot...not a great impression. I was really patient waiting an hour and a half and I just don't want other customers to go through that. To be clear stuff happens and so I don't take it personally but it was just unfortunate. If I'm in the area again I'd still love to still swing by and try giving it another go.
