So don't come here for high fashion or superb quality, but definitely a great spot for last minute shopping when you need something cute and reliable. I always find one or two hidden gems in here. They're always slow at the register and the floor is often pretty dusty or sprinkled with glitter that gets on the bottom of some of the merchandise.. but as I said, this should be viewed as a "I just need something cute, cheap, and/or last minute" type of spot. read more

I really agree with the comment below - Finale does not carry the same products as H&M and Forever21 BUT they do carry seasonal fashion trends. Certainly not the best quality. I do not recommend purchasing ALL of your clothing here. After wearing the clothes for a few times, the fit definitely changes: often for the worse! But it's a great place to get something that will likely only be in-season for a little while or to get something for ONE particular night. As a matter of fact, I'll be purchasing my New Year's outfit there! Plenty of sparkly goodness going on right now. Please note, while I did give it 4 Stars - these stars must be taken with a grain of salt. It is certainly a 4-star cheapie store. If I were comparing it to my favorite stores, it would not rank so high. But as far as cheap thrills go, this place is great. Also, the sizes do run small. This is a great store for trendy dresses/tops/etc. Everything is affordable. Sometimes it's not the best quality, but it's not a must for trendy seasonal items! Check the sales rack for incredible shoe/clothing bargains. It's right across the New Brunswick train & bus station. For those of us without a car (sure there are more choices if you have a car or go out into Manhattan) this is a great place for retail therapy! This is the go-to place to avoid looking like an h&m/forever21 clone -- but with similar styles. Word of caution: it's a junior-sized store. At my "fattest weight" of 5'4" 125 lbs i would be a size L, and other times a size M ( or S) in the store. You probably wouldn't want to wear the looks in the store if you can't fit into the clothing anyway.. read more

ReturnPolicy Sucks like a Mofo! Yes, Nice, they replaced a few employees... but friendly employees don't hold a candle to Ridiculous, non customer-oriented, Store Policies & Practices. Clothes are cute and trendy, but highly overpriced for such low-end (nice "looking") POOR QUALITY GARMENTS! Quite often you will find a rip, tear, and/or some sort of irregular appearance as early as a mere try-on in the fitting room. Knowing that these clothes are of poor quality, some will continue to shop there if unable to get to a REAL STORE for a last minute item. I purchased a pair of pants from Finale for my first day at work. Tried them on, looked great, were on clearance for $15, previously $30 (hah, glad I didnt find them when they were $30) & took them home. The next morning before work, I took them out of the bag, put them on, and went in to work for training. During a break to the bathroom I was checking myself out in the bathroom mirror & found that my rear end had been exposed (the whole time I walked away from the training class, no one said a thing) by an awfully large & growing tear (the kind you get from old stale fabrics). I had to take off my blazer, tie it around my waist, and excuse myself from the entire rest of the training. I just knew according to basic rules of Customer Service that Finale would accept the item I bought the evening before which turned out to be worthless. To my surprise, they told me I could only EXCHANGE my item for another size of the EXACT SAME ITEM... not only was I NOT INTERESTED in having the same experience with ANOTHER ONE of the same exact manufactured pieces of trash, but they no longer had my size and despite my horrific story, would not even let me choose another pair of equal or lesser value. These pants only lasted ONE HOUR This is poor customer service and their store policies were not designed with their customers in mind. The only reason this store has remained in operation downtown, is because they basically are THE ONLY womens clothing store in the area (aside from limited assortments at Cliquers). Cliquers Garments are of a higher quality make (BY FARRR), though maybe not design. When I requested the Owners Information they were not willing to cooperate. They have improved their customer service and did hire new people to work on the floor within 1 year. But old staffs are the same way regardless. I do find their clothing selection somewhat too tacky and not classy to be wore for a long period of time. Most of their clothing fabric is not a good quality materials, and fitting of clothing tells me that these clothes would have been rejected to be sold at Macy's' or even at Targets. read more

Pleasantly surprised! I expected this place to be incredibly low quality and not have many modern options. I went in looking for a cute dinner dress to go to Stage Left in, and boy did I find it (and more!) Sizes feel true to what they say (shoes seem to run a bit small) and plenty of sales to save some $$. Definitely will be back. read more

I have shopped here before and have had good experiences up until today. I was asked to hang my purse outside of the dressing room while I tried two things on. Umm, no... how rude and while I get your in a area that may have some theft I am a grown adult professional who has visited and purchased from your store frequently. Sorry you don't trust your repeat customer with two items. She said well you can take your wallet out. No, how do you know what I have in my purse! You can keep your stealing customers I will go elsewhere. No sweat off my back! In all fairness I coulda stuck more in my coat if I really wanted to be a thief! Pathetic! read more

Out of towner - I've walked by this place a few times and finally decided to walk in today. First and last time I ever go into this store. I was walking looking for a solid top to wear, browsed around the store looking uninterested because I saw nothing but clubbing clothes. Then finally found some tops such as what I was looking for in one corner of the store. This happened today, Saturday at about 430pm: Little girl with the dark hair in a bun and with the crop tank top and tight jeans: it was obvious you thought maybe I was going to steal something. You came around me fixing racks that were already fixed. Wrong, I am a manager at a retail store much larger than yours, and that's not how it's done. Feel your customer, don't just assume. Blonde girl at the register with the belly button piercing, you have HORRIBLE customer service skills. Your face expression said: "I do not want to help you, I'm just here to look pretty." Sorry for making you do your job! Overall horrible experience, I am never spending my money here again! I wanted to keep looking and perhaps purchase more items, but not with this kind of staff. My friends always raved about this place, but I never got the chance to stop by until recently. From the outside, it looks like a nice and spacious boutique. But right when you step in, you realize that Finale is similar to something like Necessary Clothing on Soho. Everything is organized and they have a bunch of cute clothing! Definitely makes it much easier to shop when they section their apparel (for example: pastels, clubbing/night wear, basics, floral, etc). And they also have an awesome (and large) sale section! When I went, everything was 25% off because of the new incoming season. I managed to score a black bubble jacket at a steal and find the perfect shirt for a clubbing event. I also looked at their shoes, but it turns out most sizes were out of stock. The jewelry section was like any other and they even sold sunglasses. I snagged the last pair of false eye glasses and proceeded to check out. I definitely recommend stopping by since there aren't really any stores here for Rutgers girls to shop at unless you're willing to go to the mall. The location is perfect, prices are reasonable, and there ought to be at least one thing you'll like. Check it out! read more

So I have shopped this store a few times and even got a pair of heels here for a great price ($12!) But i have to give it a poor rating because unfortunately their customer service skills were terrible. I brushed it off the first time when I was yelled at as I walked in to "get rid of my coffee" from a woman behind the counter. Instead of just walking up to me and mentioning that there is a (tiny) sign on the door that says no food or drink and if I could place it behind the counter or something. Even though I have walked around the store before with coffee, so I had no idea it was a rule. I did not say anything though, just kindly smiled and walked out along with my friend and gave them no business that day. Today I came back giving it the benefit of the doubt but I shouldn't have. My friend and I were looking for a cute jacket for her to buy (fully set on buying one) and we pulled one out of the rack and laid it down on top of the rack to see clearly and what a certain color shirt would look under it. The moment I laid the jacket down one of the sales women came over and said "Don't just pull things out and lay them on the rack. That's not ok, we are trying to clean up." And then gave us a dirty look grabbed the jacket and re-hung it and walked away. No miss THAT'S not ok. You don't talk to customers like that. I get you have to clean up but now I will definitely not buy that jacket or anything in the store. I've worked in retail before and I know its frustrating but you want to make your customers happy, not scold them as if I were a child. I work around the corner from this store but never again will I shop here. Besides there is a store right on George St. next to Bagel Nosh with the exact same clothes at cheaper prices. read more
