Regarding messiness, this store attracts a lot of visitor traffic from Menlo Park Mall and Roosevelt Park on weekends, including people with children, so shelves and clothing racks will understandably be a little messy. Since this location is next to a townhouse complex and three nursing homes, inventory for popular items also tends to run low without real-time inventory levels being reflected on Target.com. One of my biggest complaints about this Target is the T-shaped bottleneck for exiting and entering the parking lot. You'll also find some of the worst drivers ever here as they confusedly or recklessly enter and leave without yielding when they don't have right of way. Beach Camera then asked whether I wanted a replacement television shipped or a refund. I clearly chose a refund. I was also told that my money would be refunded once the television was picked up. Instead, the entire return process became another ordeal. It took Beach Camera close to a week just to properly address my complaint and arrange for the television to be picked up. I was told the freight company would contact me that day to schedule the pickup, but several days passed with no call. I eventually had to contact Beach Camera again myself because no one from the freight company had reached out. The television was eventually picked up, and I sent Beach Camera confirmation of the pickup as instructed. Despite being told that my refund would be issued once the TV was picked up, I received essentially no response and no refund. I had to continue following up myself. Then, after the TV had already been picked up, Beach Camera changed what had previously been communicated to me. I received an email stating that my refund would not be issued until they physically received the television, inspected it, and then determined whether the return qualified for a refund. In my opinion, that response was extremely dismissive and disrespectful considering the circumstances. I did not change my mind about a purchase. I received a television that arrived in a damaged box and would not turn on. Beach Camera offered me a replacement or a refund, I chose the refund, and I followed every instruction they gave me for returning the damaged television. I should not now be dealing with changing explanations, weeks of delays, and uncertainty over whether I will receive my own money back. Any inspection of the television or claim involving the freight company is a matter Beach Camera should handle with its carrier. I should not be left without both the television and thousands of dollars while they work through their internal process, particularly after I was specifically told that my refund would be issued once the TV was picked up. The lack of urgency, poor communication, repeated delays, and changing information regarding my refund have made this one of the worst purchasing experiences I have had. Posting truthful and non-slanderous information to a public forum on the Internet regarding this business is protected under the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States (see: Reno v. ACLU). In addition, I am of the opinion that Yelp! reviews are supposed to be honest reviews from customers regarding their interactions with businesses. I understand that Rich is upset about my leaving a 1-star review on his business. That is why I gave him three stars and the opportunity to earn my trust back. As I told him, judging by the other reviews on his business, he should have easily been able to earn some cash and get his other two stars. He chose not to do so. Instead, he threatened me with legal action for leaving an honest review of my interaction with his business on a public site. My final comment on this business is a word of caution to other potential customers. Rich is an interesting guy.
