My huband and I went to Nazranaa earlier this year to purchase outfits for our wedding and reception. We had such a positive experience there and I definitely recommend! I've always done my Indian clothes shopping in India itself, but I was really bummed this year that I wouldn't be able to go, especially before my wedding! I was skeptical about shopping in the U.S. because I heard prices would be marked up and there wouldn't be a ton of options. A few of our friends recommended we try out Nazranaa so we decided to give it a shot. We ended up making an appointment ahead of time because we were traveling from out of town so we wanted to make sure that we got a spot that day! We arrived on time and were helped immediately. I was so surprised by all the available options for women AND men! The store was definitely busy, but I felt like the service was really great the entire time we were there. It was amazing because any dress/outfit you choose they can fully customize for you. I ended up picking a lehenga for my reception which I requested being custom made into a gown in totally different colors. They said this would be no problem at all and they were happy to do it! My husband bought his wedding sherwani there as well and was able to get one stitched to his exact measurements and we were able to order shoes that matched exactly. We wanted to give sufficient time, so we visited the store in May 2022 for our October 2022 wedding. They let us know that our outfits would be ready by September, however, they were ready in August! When we traveled back to NJ to pick up the clothes, Shia helped us and she was great to work with! She was able to pin point exactly where we needed some minor adjustments and they took care of it immediately. I worked to Shia for over 6 months to bring to life my dream wedding outfit. Keep in mind, I got a completely custom outfit that was designed from scratch. In addition to my wedding outfit, we got my husband wedding outfit, both of our custom mehndi outfits, my mom mehndi outfit, our entire bridal party and some family member outfits from Nazranaa. Prior to visiting Nazranaa I shopped around a lot. I went to Jackson heights, contacted famous designers in India but didn't feel completely comfortable with the process, measurements, the language barrier etc. I also knew I didn't want something seen everywhere. If you are shopping for a wedding outfit, you should make an appointment before making the trip. The store gets crazy busy on the weekends and an appointment gives you dedicated time vs waiting around to be helped. When I met Shia, I basically wanted to pull a lot of ideas I had in mind, into one piece. I also wanted someone to give me suggestions along the way. I cannot explain how much of a blessing she really is. We started with sketches and Shia made everything come to life. We discussed different ideas and she made swatches to see everything before we decided on the entire outfit. It was really great because I was able to make changes as we went along and not anxiously waiting for something. I am very detail and so is Shia. Shia paid attention to everything, from the variety of shades a single color comes in (40 different pinks), how everything would look and if it's cohesive, down to the placement of every single crystal and pearl on my outfit. My husbands outfit came out so beautiful. Shia helped us with every single detail from his turban to shoes. My hubby is 6'2, his sizing is hard to find but Shia made sure his outfits we beautifully tailored. Shia helped us to plan our colors with our bridal party, so that the attention would not be taken off myself and hubby, but instead we would all compliment each other; same with our parents and family members. There was no request Shia couldn't fill. She did custom hijabs for my moms outfits and dyed them perfectly to match! Shia helped me to color coordinate my parents, in-laws, grandparents too - she understood the exact vision and I had and make it come true. I also did custom pieces for our bridal party who were all different sizes. Everyone was able to come in on their own, take measurements etc. it was a easy process. We had a minor issue and Shia fixed it immediately, she even offered to overnight one of my bridesmaids dresses who lived out of state. Shia always kept in contact and updated us constantly. I have bought a lehenga from them about year ago that was on sale for my mehndi and it looks great. I just didn't realize it was a Tarun Tahiliani knock off until an aunt pointed it out. Now I'm planning on wearing something else. But, if you want copies of designers they seem to make great outfits. I'm giving them three stars for communication. They need to think about how they communicate on the phone and via text. My experience shopping from Nazranaa during my wedding planning season was wonderful. I was able to find the perfect Anarkali and bridesmaid saris to fit the occasion. I am very petite and it took multiple tailoring sessions to have my outfit fit perfectly. The manager, Shia, was a great advocate. She could tell I was not happy with the fit and she ended up calling another tailor from home when necessary. This was super helpful to me as I am from out of state and she made sure the Anarkali was done that day. With my bridesmaids saris, I was set on a specific shade that I had imagined. For me, the wedding outfits selection process started off super painful. My wife decided to keep all of her outfits a surprise from me so without fully knowing what she would be wearing, I would have to coordinate with her. From the beginning I knew that I didn't want a standard wedding outfit, off the shelf -- I really wanted something simple, but elegant when it came to the embroidery design. I probably searched through hundreds of pictures before my wife finally set up an appointment with Shashank and brought me to Nazranaa. I couldn't express my vision through words so he started off by showing me some outfits. He encouraged me to try some on, but none of them hit the mark I was looking for. After spending about 30 mins going back and forth, we finally stumbled upon something that caught my eye, but not as is. Shashank was able to start envisioning what I wanted and prompting me with questions; he was able to fully understand the vision that I had in my mind. Together we came up with a custom outfit based on one that I tried on in the store; I was starting to feel excited about it. We went through the same process with my garba outfit. I wanted something that was modern and traditional that played homage to Gujarat village. He had the perfect idea taking elements from his newest collection, but then modifying it to fit my vision and also was able to accommodate my request for dhoti pants. I was a bit hesitant to pay for the entire outfit upfront, but Shashank assured me that Shia would be sending me updates regularly on the progress of the outfit and if I didn't like anything, it could be changed. We placed the order mid-February and by early April we started receiving the first swatch samples. Shia was always very responsive on WhatsApp and was great at providing her opinions on the options presented. We always felt like our vision was being considered and a professional honest opinion was also given. Given COVID, there were definitely some delays, but Shia made sure that the outfits would be ready in time for my wedding. When I went in for my first fitting, my initial reactions were mixed. I loved that I was finally able to see my vision come to life, but the outfits didn't seem to be tailored to my body and so they didn't look that great on me. Shia assured me that they always make everything bigger so that they have room to tailor it down and they would be able to fix everything in one week. She proved me wrong and by the time I came back the following week, everything fit perfectly. I was really pleased with the overall experience and the quality of the outfits.
