I love Home Goods in general because I feel like I always find what I'm looking for at a great price. However, this Home Goods in Bergen Town Center is a mess! Every single shelf is over stocked, crowded and overflowing and it makes it really difficult to find what you need. They literally have holiday decor oozing off tables, shelves, racks, end caps ... you name it and Christmas decor is bumping you and staring in your face. There were customers walking in immediately stating that the place was overwhelming and I can't disagree. I can't even imagine being an employee there having to straighten up at the end of the night or having to find space to stock shelves. If you plan to shop here take a deep breath before walking in, be patient and be careful walking the aisles so that you don't trip over anything. read more

"Jingle bell time, it's a swell time To go ridin' in a one-horse sleigh." I came into Home Goods to see if I could find that one horse sleigh. Just kidding! I was there to check out all the Christmas decor to help me decide on this year's theme. This Home goods store is located downstairs in the center to the far right corner. The store was super clean and organized though it was a smaller size than other locations. However, it was fully stocked. There were tons of holiday decorations, santa figures, nutcrackers and the like. Lots of choices for small gifts as well. The pre-decorated wreaths that I spotted were really nice. Can't beat the prices in this store. read more

Love the household décor, hate the shopping experience. If you're coming during the weekend or the holiday season, don't lose your temper by finding parking. This HomeGoods is located in the Bergen Town Center, which is notorious for having one of the most headache-inducing parking situations. Yep, I know. People, that are perfectly able-bodied, act like they would rather drop dead than park a little further away and walk. *eye roll* PLZZZZZZZZ.... Anyway... HomeGoods carries anything and everything to make your home uniquely yours. Furniture, lighting, rugs, bedding, bath, storage, dining, kitchen, wall art, décor... you name it. They have seasonal items and are constantly changing inventory. Prices are reasonable for certain products. They carry some high quality brands, so they have great deals. Unfortunately, the shopping experience is ruined by a few things. The layout of this store is horrendous. It's like a game of Tetris. They tried to jam everything into one space. Aisles are too close together, displays are placed smack dab in the middle of the walkways, and the registers have minimal space to form a line. All of this makes it difficult to navigate through the store. It also gets cluttered and messy, which isn't 100% the workers' fault. Some days there are items all over the floor, messy shelves, and overall disorganization. The cashiers work as fast as they can when lines are long. I often find interesting discount home items at this location especially for brand name things. They have decorative items, bedding and bath, pet items, foodstuffs, kitchen and storage items, office items, and some smaller furniture. The store can get cramped especially on busy days though. Parking can be a pain but if you're willing to walk it's not too bad. I haven't had issues with service but it can be slow at checkout and folks don't always know where things are located. read more

I can't believe they're selling Halloween decorations in July, but I'm in HEAVEN!!! They have such beautiful decorations for the kitchen, bathroom and living room. They even have modern furniture! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STORE!!!! read more

On the search for window treatments, my partner and I stopped inside the Home Goods at Bergen Town Center. I've been to HG before at other locations and have always thought they have good selection of inventory at bargain prices; this one is no exception. My only criticism is that the space feels very claustrophobic. It's organized and all, but the shelves/aisles seem too close together. We found nice curtain rods and draperies, but I remember wondering if we would ever make it to the registers as we were navigating through the store. There was a sign pointing to the direction of the cashiers and the walk seemed endless; it felt like IKEA. Overall though, I like this Home Goods and it's conveniently in BTC. 4-stars. read more

The selection at this Home Goods is a little meager and disarrayed. It is kind of a weird shaped store which causes for oddly organized shelves and displays. I would pass by this Homegoods just given there are so many other stores right next door but I would not go out of my way to wait in line to get into this particular location. While the actual selection is not the best, there is some really nice employees here that are super friendly and eager to help you find anything you might not be able to yourself. read more

Can go to store every week and see different things. Only negative is the length of check out lines and if you have a return you must wait in regular line. Nice location for the store. It is big and spacious, although smaller with a lesser selection than the Staten Island store I used to go to or even the one in Edgewater NJ. In these types of stores merchandise changes quickly and many times there would only be one or two of each item. The kitchen section here is fairly big. There is a good selection on pans and pots that are either made in Italy or the US. Not as many options in the bath section as other stores. Nice selection of paintings. I was in the area and found the perfect bridal shower gift here. The area is a big mall area and the prices in this Home Goods compare well with home decor in neighboring stores... So I would recommend trying it first to get an idea of options. Unless I am in the area again, I am more likely to go to the store near me for a better selection of things. read more

I came on a Wednesday night after work and the place was not a disheveled mess (which it sometimes can get on like a weekend night). The prices are decent, the selection huge (it's my favorite place to get decent priced throw pillows, I cannot fathom spending more than $20 on a throw pillow), and they even have stuff for my puppy! The staff was super friendly. One staff member saw me struggling with a huge accent chair and offered to help. But I told him politely that I better be able to handle this myself since I have to squeeze it into a tiny hatchback car then carry it up to the top floor of my apt building without an elevator! The register took a little bit of time, they didn't have enough open for the amount of people there so that irked me a little. It may be a Wednesday night, but it was still packed on that line. Otherwise, I was happy and I love Home Goods so much!!! read more

If you know me you know im a HomeGoods junky I loooove homegoods. I've never had an issue with anything that I've purchased I bought this cupcake stand that looked beautiful it cost me 70.00 I made sure that it was safe because I had to use it for a babyshower. When I went to use it the top literally detached it self. The $70.00 cake stand was glued... Seruously? When I went to my local homegoods in Secaucus the manager Nelson M. told me I couldn't return it because I didn't buy it there. (Never in my life have I heard that before) so I called and explained the situation to this store (where I purchased it) spoke to a manager she told me "I should of taken better care of it in the car." EXCUSE ME WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSE WAS THAT? I SPENT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IN HOMEGOODS AND THAT'S WHAT THEY CAME UP WITH FOR A 70 DOLLAR ITEM THAT WAS GLUED TOGETHER. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH IT OTHER THEN THE WAY IT WAS MADE. I expected more from one of my favorite stores. Im totally disappointed. read more

I love TJ Maxx and Marshalls, but this was the first time I'd ever been to HomeGoods. It's the holiday season so it was probably more chaotic and disorderly than usual, and to be fair, I arrived near closing. The place is pretty big and it has some really nice stuff. I almost splurged on a new bathroom set that would be perfect for my apartment, but it was totally not necessary for my life so I refrained. I was trying to buy picture frames, but all of the front glass pieces were cracked and broken. I spent so much time trying to find one that was in tact. I bought a bunch of other stuff: candles, cookies, this awesome red rhinestone flask, christmas cards and gift bags, bliss body scrub, etc. I finally found a good picture frame after wasting a ton of time taking them a part to make sure the corners weren't broken off. When I went to go check out there were 2 people at the cash register, but they were both working the same one. One was scanning and the other was bagging. There was a long line, it was closing during holiday hours so people wanted to get out of there, and everyone started getting antsy and angry. People were requesting to open another register, but they said only the manager could do it. The woman was then completely ignored. I had a bag full of stuff so when it was my turn I asked the lady at the register if she could call the manager to open another register. She said they were closing soon and the manager had closed out all of the registers. I told her it would probably go faster, and they could close sooner, if they opened the register and got everyone out of there (the line was pretty long). She kind of agreed, but nothing happened. I bagged my stuff as fast I as possibly could because I felt bad for everyone behind me. I've walked off lines at TJ Maxx and Marshalls before when there were multiple cashiers. I never really understand why the lines go so slow in these places, except this time at HomeGoods. read more

I happened to visit this store on a weekend. Though the store has some good unique collections in decor , the staff is rude. It happened that, myself and my husband were holding a cart of items we waned to buy. As we wanted to look at the furniture section , we went to buy certain stuff there and by the time we came back our cart was missing and the decor items we chose were not available at the shelf too. It was too disappointing since we had spent more than an hour to shop and browse around the store, we did not buy what we wanted and chose to!! I checked with a staff about the cart and all she said was I should have tagged the cart with my name and left it. Any unattended cart will be taken away kept with them inside. She even didn't bother to look it up! All we bought was an elephant soap dispenser that's it and we have to leave store heartbroken. I even tried to find the same kind of items in another home goods store at secaucus and we couldn't find them. I hope these staff will put a note or something for the customers on cart. read more
