Now only do they have an enormous selection of Indiana made products, candies, snacks and apparel, but they also worked some of my company goodies into the basket. Proud to be a Hoosier (not an IU Hoosier, but you get it )

They also have a cellar with wine and beer. There's even gelato! But I came for the sandwich! I tried the Batalli sandwich, which was spicy and so flavorful with the perfect balance of textures! I also tried the special Tayaki, which was a good sweet counterpoint! Absolutely delicious! I'm still thinking about these sandwiches a week later! There is a gravel lot across the road and street parking. There's minimal seating indoors and some tables outside. Service was quick, and everyone was so kind and welcoming!

The "other" location builds pretty decent sandwiches with plenty of protein, chips included for the same or lower price. I'm was a big fan of Goose Island, but this was my first and last visit to this miserable location. Honestly, read the reviews. These people are idiots. They have never been out of the country and maybe the state of Indiana. "Scrumptious, delicious, delectable, tasty, and something about textures are ignorant responses for incredibly cheap, beyond cheap, almost non existent portions of protein.

I checked in…read morewith the young woman tending the register and she gave me the lay of the land as well as a souvenir tasting fork of my choice. There were a few designs to choose from: a lobster, an oyster, and a fish, from what I can recall. She also introduced me to our gracious host for the evening, Nolan, who was running the show. Nolan is a big ball of energy and a joy to be around. He set the vibes to light, fun and whimsical and I really appreciated that. Everyone moved around the room freely, visiting all of the tasting stations that were set up with whimsical, hand-drawn decorations on the paper tablecloths (much like that seen on the Pinterest commercial). There were 6 different ones, all with multiple options at each station. I tried sardines, razor clams, pickled ramps, an entire array of Fishwife tinned items, mustards, seafood dip that is made in-house, oysters, the list goes on. They also introduced me to an Indiana-based soda company call Bollygood, with Indian-inspired flavors. I love, love, love the Lime Basil Cumin flavor. I wasn't too sure about that combo, but it was delicious and super-refreshing. It smelled like a taco...but didn't taste like one! The Lemon Mango Turmeric was really good too. I also enjoyed the demonstrations lead by Chef Amber. She also has a light that was a pleasure to witness. I could just tell that she really loves what she does. While she does not work there, she still gets to come back for the fun stuff (her words). She has been a huge influence on the whole tinned fish movement at the smokehouse and develops recipes and curates these events alongside Nolan and the team. I loved both recipes that were shared with us and her enthusiasm to show us how we can elevate the tinned fish beyond the can. We mingled. We made friends. I spent a pretty penny on several of the delicious items that I was introduced to. I look forward to attending more events here in the future.

There's a lot of seating scattered through, including outside, which can sometimes get tight in food halls, so I love to see that, too. A few more highlights for me... + Twenty Two the juice spot has been fabulous both times I've had the pleasure of trying them. + Pumpkinfish is a retail gift shop that has so many cool things! They do a great job at curating the items, everything ranging from Indy themed knick knacks to locally made art and jewelry, all quirky and unique. + The variety of food they have is amazing. Everything from Greek, Asian-fusion, Mexican, and ice cream to a bakery, poke, pizza, burgers, and more. There's something for everyone. Overall, Indy is lucky to have a place like this. I had a fishsimmwich. Drink, fish sandwich and chips $12. Tasty sandwich, potato chips mixture of plain and cheese, plain were good, not a cheesy chip fan, but sandwich was good. Definitely a great place to visit! Lots of seating area. I really like the concept! I believe it was an old Coca Cola production building back in the day. J's Lobster and Fish Market! The biggest dilemma is which one to chose. Can't wait to comeback some time to try something else; unfortunately it a tad big commute but one day " I'll be back! "

I'm not sure why Dad's sweet corn tastes so much better than grocery store sweet corn, but it does…read more Dad's Sweet Corn is a local farm business out of Tipton, Indiana. Dad's is sold at most of the larger farmers markets in the Indy area. Today was their first weekend selling corn at the Zionsville Farmers Market for this season. The line for corn stretched 20+ long waiting for the market to open. And we got ours. The line moves super quick because the corn is already bagged. A bag of a dozen usually contains 13 ears and costs $11 (this season). The corn is the freshest corn you can find, picked at the peak of perfection. Each ear is so sweet that you don't even need butter. I'll be serving mine for Father's Day dinner. Seems appropriate to have Dad's corn on Father's Day. The bags can returned each week for recycling. We arrived early at the market and easily found parking. Dad's also has an online store that sells shirts, mugs and other logo items.
