This indoor version for the winter season was just as impressive as their outdoor one. The space is big, parking lot is big, and there are a lot of vendors. Again, they nail it with the broad variety of vendors. They had some new vendors and the regular ones. The produce vendors had fresh veggies, just not much fruit this time of year (December). There were root vegetables, mushrooms, and leafy greens. There were vendors with ready to eat food options or they cooked food on the spot for you to enjoy during the market. The atmosphere was busy during the holiday season, but it didn't feel claustrophobic in there. It was great to do some holiday shopping too as there were giftable goods being sold by local businesses.

Due to construction that's why it's moved to the circle. I noticed today they've added more food trucks which they did need. They definitely could add more. You have lots of visitors and people who work downtown who attend lots of functions that happen on the circle. Flying Dirt Farm, Hunter's Honey Farm, Chez Pauline are ones I always stop at. They have vegetables, flowers, soaps, and more. It seems like when it first started in May it wasn't as busy. Now, you can tell it's picked up. Good for the vendors! She's not only a good floral designer, but I can't imagine what her flower gardens look like. She filled them full with flowers. Rock of Etches has sand engraved pottery. Had to buy my dad a Hoosiers mug. They had Pacers, Purdue, I U mugs. They had other neat pieces of pottery too. They had so many different small businesses there. You can see the conservatory from the market. They have lots of vendors at this one. A little kids area to draw also. Illumine Coffee Company has great iced coffees! Harker Family Orchard is one of the Featured Farmers for the Indiana State Fair this year, Hobbit Gardens Earth Gatherings Center has herbs as well as amazing salves for all sorts of things! I bought a couple of them and they're great! The insect repellent works! Cakes by Chew had a great iced lemon bar and much more. Flying Dirt Farm has amazingly beautiful floral bouquets. McCarthy Gardens has great produce and the lady even handed me a recipe for the garlic I had bought! How nice! Send a Friend Lasagna, My Dad's Sweet Corn, Helm Coffee Roasters, Garfield Honey Co., and Mother Noble are a few of the 50+ vendors they have. It's a rain or shine event from 9-12:30 on Saturdays from May-October. Plus, if you haven't visited the conservatory it's really pretty inside and close. The farmers market is a great family activity and often features live music, storytelling and other charming activities. We often end up grabbing brunch from Llama Delicatessen and Tinker Coffee. As for market vendors, you'll find everything from pasta and local cheese to winter produce, honey and dried flowers. It's a great assortment of food you can actually take home to make meals (and not just sauces and soaps ;). This is one of our favorite ways to spend Saturday mornings in the winter. The Amp - even tho it is not by anything - has the audacity to have pay parking lots but they are FREE during the farmers market! This market is huge with lots of vendors. Bring CASH. Most take credit but a few younger businesses only do cash or Venmo. There's a lot to offer - Filipino food, vegetables, fruits, spices, handmade crafts, baked goods, candles, sandwiches, etc. The food stalls are also open so you have a ton of awesome options for food while you are there!

Mostly, though, The Famous Tomato is a specialty food store. It's also a little farmers market, so you'll find lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. The Famous Tomato feels like a hidden gem, even though it's right there in plain sight in Speedway. They sell market totes, frisbees, and handed out duck food to give to the ducks on the canal at the White River State Park booth. The market is held the first and third Sunday between May and June.
