I was just casually strolling through Kroger, minding my own business, and there sits Broad Ripple Chip Co bags, waiting to be picked up. I was surprised to see it at Kroger, so they must be everywhere around town. I picked up a bag instead of my usual Sun Chips and man oh man it was worth it! Great quality chips with perfect seasoning and just the right amount of crisp. Perfection. If only the bags were bigger... My only question is I couldn't find a "flavor" listed on the bag so I don't know if I just got their original / if there are more flavors but my bag was anything but plain! Broad Ripple Chips, you put Lays and Ruffles to shame. Bravo!

Delicious potato chips in an old fashioned brown paper bag, which I feel almost adds to the flavor. A good size of chip and each one is packed with amazing flavor. However it almost feels like you could fit more chips into the bag, but it really is quality over quantity which I love!

Perfectly seasoned and crisped to perfection these chips make me want to sing a jingle: Crispy, crunchy, oh so munchy Oh how I need thee, in my tummy Just one taste, I begin to eat in haste Oh no, sadness, my tasty chips are gone Yes, Yes, Yes....these chips are the real deal. They aren't your run of the mill manufactured chip. These chips come from REAL home grown potatoes and have the appearance of actual potatoes...I know...get out of town! Crispy, crunchy, oh so munchy the best chips around. They can be found in the deli sections of these locations: Fresh Thyme, Marsh, Earthfare, Wildwood Market, Kroger, and R2GO.

Have not been inside, but got the chips at Tappers. I thought they were really good, as they were quite flavorful!

I've driven by the Bakery, so many times and wanted to stop, but I was always in a hurry. My sister and I went in and we each got a dessert and because it was four in the afternoon, we got decaffeinated coffee. The refills were free and we sat at the little counter like we were at a diner and enjoyed everything about this iconic little bakery. The decor is a eclectic. We just took our time and looked around and laughed at so many signs and odd little things that were placed over the years. On the way to the ladies room, you will find out that the gentleman that started the restaurant fought in one of the world wars, and you will see his worn out shoes, his uniforms, his letters of accommodation and Learn his story. Now let's get to the desserts. We shared some type of a wonderful lemon pastry and a black forest cake. Best black forest cake I've ever had. Savored every bite. We were able to buy the last of the springle's that they had made from Christmas. FYI, if you don't like black licorice don't buy Springerle's but you can only get them at Christmas because it's a German tradition and they won't work in the summertime because of the humidity. Things that I learned that day. We saw that they had a dinner menu with a huge variety of different bratwurst and assorted sausages that we would like to try sometime. We ended up spending an hour and a half in a beautiful little place that we thought we were just going to stop and grab desserts to go.

Ron, the owner is extremely knowledgeable and can provide you with great recommendations, should you need them! The store is well-organized and offers many different varieties from budget to high-end selections. They also offer a nice assortment of gourmet foods like crackers/cheese/sausage/cookies to accompany your wine choice. Most recently I emailed to see if they could make me a gift basket. Ron responded immediately and said they already had a basket made in my price range with two bottles of their best-selling red and white wine. When I picked it up, I was very pleased with the selection of items included for the price. It's a great deal!

Sadly, the only photo I snapped during our visit was of the menu because I didn't want to be on my phone + it was communal seating, so we were busy make friends and eating delicious food. We loved one of the bottles of wine that was paired with one of our courses, so we put in an order for one. I got called that it was already ready for pickup a few days later, hence the second visit so soon (turned my wine pickup errand into a lunch stop with my work besties). The second Saturday dinner was an absolute blast. From 6:30-7 they had 3 of the most incredible appetizers and glasses of champagne during a little social (half) hour. Then we all transitioned to the main dining area to start the rest of the paired courses from 7-10. They have limited two top tables along the hallway going into the main dining area, so everyone else was paired with another couple or groups of people, depending on if you sat at a table along the back wall or one of the big dining tables. We sat with another couple along the back wall and it was really fun getting to know them over the several hours everyone was having dinner and wine together. My husband and I are usually very introverted, but a few glasses of wine definitely makes me feel more brave lol. Each course was equally delicious, but the ricotta-stuffed beet tortellini was my personal favorite. The staff told us a little bit about each course after everyone had been served and they let us know the chef handmade all of the pasta and intentionally had a heart-shaped indentation on them when they were folded together for Valentine's Day. Each dish was so creative and paired perfectly with each wine that the sommelier poured for us. Overall, such a fun experience and an interesting way to spend Valentine's Day. When it was time to go back in and pick up our bottle of wine I asked a couple of work friends if they wanted to go with me to have lunch there. We also sat at a table on the back wall so my pregnant friend could be more comfortable (booth type seating on the back wall and then chairs on the other side). My other friend and I each got a Prosecco split, which was delicious. I also got a cappuccino because I can't pass up a coffee from anywhere, it would seem. I got us the marinated olives to all try and they were really good, with a fruity kick from the citrus peels added in. All three of us got the tuna melt and salad and it was really good and warming for the chilly day. All three of us felt that the tuna was masked by the cheese and peppers/onions. It is definitely a good sandwich for people who don't like overpowering fish flavor, but we all like tuna and wished we could have tasted it a little more. I can't wait to come back and try some more pasta dishes.

The spaghettini was beautifully braided and so flavorful with sweet potatoes inside of the ravioli. I did see they allow you to make reservations on Open Table, so I booked it for a weekday to try it out. It wasn't nearly as busy as the parking lot looked, there was plenty of seating. It was a nice day so they had the windows open and they also had someone playing live music so it was a tad loud but, not overly loud where you can't hear your conversation. The menu is not your typical menu, it's very crafty if that's a word. The service was very good, and she explained the menu well and we took her up on her recommendations. Turkey pastrami which I had never had before. It tastes really fresh and felt healthy. The salad comes in a little small bowl but full of goodness. Upon entering I noticed how cute the decor was and how open it was. The kitchen is even behind glass so you can see most of it from your table. This place would be awesome for groups. The servers wear whatever makes them comfortable and fits their style which is a nice touch to the theme. But where the home runs were was the food. We had a hard time deciding on an appetizer as they all sounded so good. We went with the wagyu pigs in a blanket. They are cooked perfectly and seasoned well and juicy. I got the chicken katsu sandwich on Japanese milk bread and o my gosh it was so flavorful and I like anything else you can find around. The breading is light and not overly crunchy. I still think about that sandwich. Hubby ordered the short ribs and he said they were flavorful and tender and juicy. I can't express how amazing the food is here. You just have to give it a try. It's worth it.
