I've been to Mochinut twice now and have enjoyed it both times. It's very clean and the employees are kind and helpful. Both times they have given me drink advice when I asked them a ton of questions! I've now sampled about 10 flavors of donuts and I've liked all of them. Mochi donuts have a unique flavor/texture, but I like it. Each time I've had the mango tea and love it. I prefer it without the boba, but today I added milk foam and really like that combination. It is a bit pricey, but it's something different every now and then when we are on that side of town. read more

I'm not one to leave reviews but the treatment by the server here was terrible. I ordered a strawberry tea with boba and it was served not mixed, no sugar and very little boba... like the drink was brown and tasted like watered tea... And when I told her that there was no strawberry and it wasn't sweet at all, she told me she put one pump of syrup and it was on the bottom. She reluctantly put another pump of syrup in it and that was all she could do. Additionally my friend ordered spring rolls and although she may have heard sprinkles for a donut because she gave us an additional donut with sprinkles, she just dismissed her when she asked about it and was like, you didn't order spring rolls. This place was a great snack and hang out place. I got my cookies and cream mochi donut and a matcha tea with boba. I didn't take a photo of. Whoops I ordered the hot Cheeto and beef hotdog Korean corn dog as well. It was delicious. They make these fresh to order bc you have to customize your topping and your inside. Plus choose a side sauce. The hot Cheeto topping was soo good. I would definitely order it like this again. I've tried the potato outside at a few other places and it's usually bland. Not sure about this places, but I'll give it a shot next time. The staff was soo friendly too. The place is clean and they have plenty of seating to hang out and read or chit chat. My only con: I'm not a fan of the novel drink ware, like lightbulbs or pop top drink cans. It seems too much sometimes. Mochinut is a cute little store in Plainfield, I've seen it many times in passing and finally decided to try it out with some friends. There isn't a lot of seating inside however we got there at a good time when it wasn't busy. There is one kiosk where you can order or you can go right to the counter which is what we did. The staff were nice and answered our questions . I cannot remember all the mochi donuts we ordered but we all thought the churros was the best. The first time I tried these donuts was when my son brought me some that hr had bought. The flavors he brought me were different but got me interested. I finally stopped in today and while disappointed they didn't have the one I wanted, I found three other flavors to try. I wanted to get a mochi ball but those are not part of the box. I settled on the Reese's, Pink lemonade and stars and sprinkles. My daughter also got the brown sugar Boba tea. The donuts were soft and delicious. You'll find that the sweetness comes from whatever glaze or sprinkles are on the outside otherwise they would be bland. I enjoyed all the donuts but could have done without the sprinkles. The donuts do fill you up if you eat more than one. The Boba tea was good and flavorful but very sweet but you could dial down the sweetness by adding more milk if you like. Yes, they are more expensive than the donuts you would get at Dunkin or Krispy Kreme but I'm not complaining. BTW, they also have Korean hot dogs but we didn't try any this visit. This is the only place that I know so far that has Korean hot dogs on the west side so I'll be back yo try those. read more

I was really excited to try this place out! They have a self service tablet on the wall, which is a great alternative to ordering online when you don't feel like talking to anyone. The service was not so great, I would say 2/5 stars on that. One young lady played with her hair as she made drinks and the other on the register just seemed less than thrilled to have to talk to anyone. The donuts and boba were immediately ready. The donuts were thick and tasty. The boba was good too, it just tasted like regular milk tea and not the brown sugar I ordered. It did take about 15 minutes for my hot dog to be ready, which wouldn't be a big deal except 3-4 people that placed orders after me got their hot dogs first. Overall the food is pretty good, which is what saved this review. However, I'm big on customer service so I will be trying other establishments instead. read more

I'm in between a 3 and a 4 star mostly because the drink wasn't good but the staff was friendly just not talkative which i get. The matcha is only a ehhh. The foam has no taste and neither does the matcha. You have to drink 1/4 of the matcha at a time to really get any flavor in your mouth especially if you like ceremonial grade matcha with no additives. I just tasted sugar. Here they serve Bubble teas, mochi donuts and Korean rice hot dogs... I am here for the hot dogs since I do not care for the first two items at all. While I love the way the mochi donuts look, I just can't deal with their consistency and the same goes for the drinks. The Korean hot dogs are usually beef hot dogs covered with a sticky rice and the deep fried golden brown, so they will have that crunch on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside... and hot as hell, so be careful with that first bite. While I usually get mine just plain. Beef hot dog with original coating. Instead of the beef hot dog you can also choose cheese and even half hot dog/have cheese is an option for the filling. You can also add something to the coating, which means they would roll the rice coating in either potatoes, crunchy ramen or hot cheetos before they fry it all up. With it comes a sauce of your choosing. I can't remember what all the choices are because I always have mine with yum yum sauce. Can't go wrong with that, it have yumm in the name for a reason. Service is usually very friendly and they are willing to walk you through all the options if you can't remember what you are trying to purchase here. The interior is bright and cutely decorated. This is a new find for me in Indy and I have been a boba fan for as long as I have known. I visited mochinut for a Yelp event but I ended up buying mochinut on my own dime because it was that delicious, fresh and tasty. I tried Honey+Yuzu which had a tart, citrusy flavor. This wasn't too sweet and had the perfect amount of crunchiness to give it a fritter + donut like flavor which absolutely made the mochinut desirable. The store is spotless clean and the service is great. I loved that there were a lot of diverse customers from different backgrounds pulling in and that in itself speaks to me about the business in general. Good place where there's a variety of refreshing drinks, teas and boba teas also served with mochinuts. The place is located in a spot adjacent to a shopping complex making it easily accessible. I came across a very cool spot in the Plainfield shops. They make a mix of mochi and donut dough which creates the perfect texture for me. Although they are a bit expensive for one treat, it's a nice splurge once in a while. The girl working the counter was very helpful and provided us with a rundown on what they were and how to order. Mochinut is such a fun addition to Plainfield. It is one of our favorite bubble tea shops to visit. They serve bubble teas, mochi donuts and Korean corn dogs. They have new flavors of the Mochinut donuts every week which is awesome. Our favorites however, are the boba, lemonades, and Korean corn dogs. We have tried Ube with Tapioca Boba, the strawberry lemonade with rainbow jelly, and the original and potato half hot dog and half mozzarella corn dogs. The corn dogs are fresh and the cheese pull gets me every time. It's just so good! The store is spotless and service is great. You can order from either the front counter, or the self service kiosk. The staff is always happy to answer any questions if you have them. It can get busy at times, but nothing too crazy. Fun and cute little place! We've been hearing about this place and decided to give it a try! The lady who helped us was nice and gave me great recommendations on their most popular donuts! Korean corn dogs are made to order and they have weekly rotating mochi donuts that aren't as sweet as regular ones which makes me totally able to eat more in one setting. I took my niece here to just enjoy some boba and we tried so many things. It was her first time with the food. I personally like fried cheesy things and it's like a huge mozzarella stick, which is why I love it. My niece loved the potato one with the sauce. Mochinut is a hidden gem in Plainfield! We really loved the donuts and Korean Hot Dogs. We first tried Korean Hot Dogs in another state and were obsessed. I'm glad to be living in close proximity to one because they are GOOD. The service is like that of an ice cream shop or bakery. Quick, in and out. I love menus that are not incredibly overwhelming (shoutout In-N-Out). There is no time for option fatigue and I choose much quicker! Mochinut is similar in this respect. Our first time having Mochinuts. This place is pretty cool. Right next to Kung Fu Tea and Thai Orchid with ample parking across the street. The decor is fun and has lots of pops of color. They also serve boba here but we're pretty partial to KFT and didn't try theirs. They also have the Korean corn dogs but that will have to wait until our next visit. Anyway, onto the donuts! First, I have to say my kids love mochi so I knew they would like this. I have also had it before but never in donut form. The donuts had tons of flavor and had a soft chewy texture. Exactly what you'd expect a mochinut to taste like. The glaze on each was sweet without it feeling like you need to head for a teeth cleaning immediately afterward. We visited Mochinut on a Saturday afternoon. Because it was right before Christmas and it's located in a strip mall. Traffic outside was busy, and parking was a little difficult, but on a normal day this doesn't seem like it would be a problem. There's ample seating, and the store is kept clean, despite the steady flow of traffic. I ordered a mochi doughnut, a drink, and a Korean corn dog. When I went to place my order, they let me know that they were out of boba, but that it would be ready in about 30 minutes. I decided to wait since we were ordering other things. Our orders were ready pretty quickly we got the Twix mochi, doughnut, cookies, and cream, mochi, doughnut, peach mango aid, and a flamin' hot half-and-half (half cheese, half hotdog) Korean corndog. The donuts were light and fluffy with great choices and toppings, but the peach mango was the star of the show for me. When the Boba was ready, one of the staff brought out a brown sugar milk tea with a cute little Yelp umbrella in it for me and thanked me for waiting. First time trying this place. We got two Korean Hotdogs (Potato and Hot Cheetoz) each hotdog comes with 1 side of sauce (we got sweet & sour and yum yum). We also got a Banana pudding Mochi donut. We both preferred their hot dogs aka corn dogs over their donuts, but their donuts are very popular as we saw everyone get a pack of 3-6. Why do they sell these doughnuts for so much? I enjoy the texture and all but the taste is just okay. The boba drinks here, OMG the most expensive I've ever paid for boba drinks, I think it's the cups they serve it in that's hiking up the price so high like $2 above normal prices. But they are flavorful and delicious thanks to all that sugar punching you in the mouth. The rice dogs are good, however I've had these before with pork dogs and with pork it has a much better flavor unless they it's a Korean BBQ dog then the Asian beef ones are fantastic. But that's in Chicago and Los Angeles. But to focus back on their dogs, they are pretty good, comparing it to other ones I've had similar it's a solid 7/10 and worth $6. read more
