Whoever you are... thank you. You changed my life. The sweet woman behind the counter heard where I was from and handed me a complimentary glazed yeast donut. Let me tell you... WHEW! It wasn't even fresh out of the oven, and it still melted in my mouth. Light, soft, perfectly glazed... I knew right then I was in trouble. I ended up buying a box with blueberry cake, applesauce cake, cinnamon sugar, Bavarian cream, glazed yeast, and a few others. Everything was incredibly fresh, and at those prices, I had to double-check the menu because I thought I was reading it wrong! When I got back to my parents' house in Louisville, we warmed a few up for just a few seconds. Game over. They somehow tasted even better. My plan was to take some to church tomorrow to share... but judging by how fast they're disappearing, I may be testifying about them instead.
