I'd long wanted to give Smoothie King a try, but it seems like when I'm in the area of one I'm either completing a task or having a meal somewhere else. However, after having an early lunch today I headed out to Hancock County for some chill time (NOTE: This means driving fast on country roads). The first Smoothie King opened in 1989 in New Orleans. They have approximately 1,300 locations including the U.S., around 130 in South Korea, and spots in the Cayman Islands and Trinidad and Tobago. Fun Fact - while you look at their logo and see a crown, it's actually designed so that the 3 points of the crown represent people and the Smoothie King commitment to community. Additionally, the last point of the crown is reaching out and is intentionally designed to signify reaching out to others. I will admit that I consider Pendleton Pike an odd location for a Smoothie King, but this one sure seems to stay busy so I'm obviously wrong. They do have a drive-thru. You can also order for contactless pick-up and there are delivery options. In 2017, Smoothie King made a franchise wide commitment to clean blends. They also have corporate partnerships with Challenged Athletes Foundation, Drew Brees, and Smoothie King Center. They do have an app and do offer rewards (though it's worth noting this was not mentioned today as I went to the drive-thru). The menu does take some getting used to, though the employees are friendly and helpful. Essentially, there are different types of blends that you pick based upon the purpose of your smoothie - getting fit, staying slim, being well, taking a break, and others. I'd initially looked online and studied the menu, though it's presented somewhat differently than the drive-thru menu and I found that what I'd thought I was going to get ended up being set aside for something else. The smoothies come in 20, 32, and 40 ounce. These are definitely not inexpensive. Most 20-ounce smoothies are in the $5 range, 32-ounce in the just under $8 range, and 40-ounce a little bit higher. Basically, you're drinking your meal. They do have $5 Fridays that offer 32-ounce smoothies at $5. I ordered a 32-ounce Coffee High Protein Almond Mocha. It includes cold brew coffee, dates, nonfat milk, dairy whey blend, almonds, whey protein, and 100% cocoa. It packs 400 calories, 12g of fat, 45g of carbs, and 30g of protein. It also has 74 mg. of caffeine. It's a serious kick. You can get ingredients and allergens for all the smoothies and considering their creative blends you definitely want to do so if you have serious food allergens. It came out nicely prepared and blended. It had a nice chill to it. I definitely enjoyed it and would easily order it again. I will admit it feels weird to spend eight bucks for a smoothie, but this truly does qualify as a meal for me and I definitely enjoyed it. I may very well return on $5 Friday and try something different. While the drive-thru is nice and convenient, there's no denying that with them making smoothies upon order it's not a super quick process. Mine was fairly straightforward without additions (you can add things like probiotics or fiber, etc. typically for $.99). Having finally tried Smoothie King, I'll definitely be back. This is also a more formal intro into smoothies for me and there's other places here in Indy to try. However, this Smoothie King is actually pretty close to my home and I look forward to returning in the near future. While I didn't go inside, this strip center has appropriate curb cuts and accessible parking. The neighborhood can be a little questionable, though during the day it's not bad. read more

When I discovered that they sell Acai Bowls, I jumped right on it! Now I'm hooked. The only issue is that when I started getting them, they filled the bowls completely up. Stopped by this smoothie king after some hiking at fort Harrison state park. I am a smoothie king lover, but it was my first time at this location. So let me just say that I am super excited about the fact that they opened a Smoothie King 10 minutes from me. I'm a huge fan of Smoothie King. So I stopped by today and visited this location. The staff was very friendly and the store is very clean . On Fridays they run a promotion where you can get a 32 oz smoothie for $5 which is amazing. I ordered a strawberry kiwi smoothie no add-ins and it came up to $5.38. Even though there was a drive-through line. I went inside and I was able to get in and out within I would say 5 minutes. I am a huge Smoothie King fan and am excited for this new location in the Lawrence area. There's nothing like this place nearby! This location is very clean, well put together, and fully staffed. My favorite part: they have a drive thru! Score! If you want something equally healthy and delicious, try the Lemon Ginger Spinach. For a sweet treat, the Pineapple Surf rocks! If you need a boost of energy, the Almond Mocha Coffee High Protein is a favorite and I love adding raspberries to it. Get the app and get points for money off future smoothies with each purchase. I really hate that I have to do this review, but enough is enough. I go to this Smoothie king just about every day or every other day. Ever since the bowls came out they really hate it and you can tell, they make the bowls and smoothies according to their attitudes. Not too long ago i walked in to place a order, and there was only two people working, the girl that was in there said in a nasty way to another customer that "we are taking online orders only, we are short of help" but nobody was in the store. So I just sat down and placed my order, that was uncalled for. Another time I placed a order, I had 2 bowls and 2 smoothies with the smoothies you dare ask for the allergy bowl. So on this visit, I get my PB Swizzle xtra strawberries xtra peanut butter the girl handed me the bowl with NO bananas. I spend way to much money in this Smoothie King it's the only one that close to my house and, I drive miles one just to get attitude. I've been using the app more just so that I can run in and run out. But still it doesn't matter. However I prefer to go in the store because and get the of the allergy bowl, my husband got a smoothie from there, and within seconds he broke out itching. They make you what they want you to have, not what you placed online. I hate spending my money in an establishment and get major attitude and not quality of service, I understand they are high school kids, but this is a business, I work in a casino and if I treated my customers in the manner that they do, i would be fired with the quickness. I went through the drive-thru. After I'd already paid, as I sat and waited, I could see the girl making my smoothie in the reflection off of the plexi-glass Covid panels they have at the counter. First time at smoothie king ever. Smoothies taste great, but we pulled into the drive thru not sure if what we wanted. The First Lady greeted us very kindly, and we asked for a moment to look.
