How can you go wrong with yummy fresh donuts? Our closest Pana is the one just E of I 69 & 96th Steet (behind McDs, near the Walmart). I love the 10 doz donut holes option for $20 to share. But my personal favorite is a chocolate covered boston cream filled bit of #yum. #ReviewsByRL

I have taken my daughter to Pana Donuts before school in two occasions and we have loved it both times. The donuts are so light and fluffy, they are delicious. My daughter also got a mango smoothie once and she said it was very good. After those two positive experiences, i picked up 4 dozen to take to work with me. Everyone raved about the donuts and several people asked me where i got them. The 20 employees ate all 48 donuts, that should tell you something!

I'm guessing this location opened around Thanksgiving based on the other Yelper's reviews. It is a very nice store, with a larger than normal dining area and plenty of room for customers to line up for their ordering. I did not notice the drive through but it must be behind the building like in other locations. I always like to go inside and see what's going on plus to drool over all the various donuts, lol. I got apprehensive when I saw only one powdered donut in the jewelry case tray. When my turn came I asked if they had more, she turned to ask another guy, he looked at the rolling rack of trays and said yes but he went in the back to get them and I almost fist pumped because I knew mine were going to be very fresh. Sure can't get that at the other large chain donut stores because they don't make their donuts in the stores, let alone powdered donuts. I ordered my usual half dozen powdered donuts and was going to eat just one when I got home but... they are like potato chips. You can't eat just one, can you? I had two and they were super delicious even at room temperature. Normally I heat them up for 10 seconds, but I just dived in today. I used to love just regular glazed donuts but now I'm hooked on powdered donuts as well as funnel cake fries at the bowling alley and funnel cake at the Indiana State Fair. Thanks to PANA for providing me powdered donuts all year long.

The drinks are always so yummy. I don't like donuts but my sisters adore them from here. The service is always quick & the workers are always kind

The convenience of a drive-thru is helpful, especially when you have kids and don't want the struggle of getting everyone out of the car only to have a tantrum about a pink sprinkle donut. Just be patient because they are not always quick, and the drive-thru speaker is on the passenger side. We have tried the cookies, brownie, breakfast sandwich, and donuts, all of which are fairly decent. There wasn't anything spectacular about the taste or texture, but the price was very reasonable. We'll be back.

Love this place! It's has the feel of a small cafe. The staff is super friendly and the donuts are always fresh! Their donut display is always filled and is well lit so it's very easy to see all the different flavors! Our favorites are the Strawberry Iced w/ Sprinkles, Vanilla Iced w/ Sprinkles, and the Glazed Cinnamon Rolls! The donuts holes are superb and melt in your mouth! Everything is priced perfectly! We usually do the half dozen for a little over $8 and a dozen donut holes are only $1.99! They also have many different drink options including Bobas! We haven't tried the drinks yet, but will on our next visit! We love Pana and will continue to frequent this location!

Went Thursday right before 8am and got fantastic service! The workers were kind and attentive. I got a twist glaze donut and it was so soft and great! I also got an vanilla iced coffee. They had breakfast and lunch sandwich options also. I will definitely go back to try some lunch. Space was huge and clean! Lots of donut and drink options!

this is the first west side location for pana and their 4th family owned brick & mortar. they've been open for about 2yrs as of october. according to their social media and obvious non movement for several months this location was delayed in opening by the county-regulations. i'm mentioning this because as unfortunate as that is it should mean when you do open you are wholly prepared. they've been open about five days now and it didn't seem like a place with several locations who are serious about expanding. my experience wasn't bad but it wasn't good or this is our 4th location we've got it together either. there's a drive thru but i went inside, it wasn't busy a couple dining in and few others ordering to go. for the grand opening they were offering a free donut or small coffee. there's a banner mentioning it out front. there were plenty of fresh donuts being brought out, they offer lunch and thai tea with boba. i go for the kronuts :)

Excellent place for Donuts. They have a large selection of donuts and bakery items. They taste fresh and delicious. Located just off US 36 in Avon just west of Dan Jones. Friendly staff and they take both cash and credit cards. Recommended for an occasional treat!

We've been to Pana twice and the service was great. They are super nice. The donuts are good. We tried a few the first visit and the second visit was on donut day where they offered us free donuts. We tried a twist on the cinnamon roll which was pretty good but not my favorite. My daughter tried the Boba tea and didn't love it but it was also her first time tying Boba tea.

Donut judge us but this is what's left lol

I must admit that despite my reporting on the apparent donut wars in Avon Indiana, with no less…read morethan five different donut shops in the growing town, I'd completely forgotten about the presence of Rise n' Roll Bakery until I happened to be on my way out to Putnam County and happened to look over and see the shop in a relatively small strip center. Rise n' Roll was founded in Middlebury, Indiana by an Amish family as an offshoot of the family's selling of donuts from the porch of their Shipshewana home. Established a Rise n' Roll in 2004, it stayed relatively small for years. The original bakery didn't use electricity, refrigeration, or modern tech. Everything was by hand. In 2009, the Amish owner sold the company to a non-Amish family. It was moved to a larger facility - the original owner stayed employed by the company and the small bakery began to expand including franchising. In recent years, the Central Indiana presence has grown. Rise n' Roll offers donuts, pastries, Amish goods, deli, and other items. While I was sad to see Rise n' Roll leave their Broad Ripple spot, truthfully I tend to resonate more with its simpler locations (there's now a smaller shop in Nora). This spot in Avon reminds me of Nora. I believe the Indiana-based chain has 16 locations statewide. I'm a definite fan of the chain and have never had a bad experience at any location in terms of product or people. I primarily stick to donuts when coming here, however, I'll occasionally deviate. While I'd say that Rise n' Roll is decked out a bit nicer than Carl's, I felt a similar vibe here. In a town that has multiple options, it's really important to distinguish yourself and Rise n' Roll does that nicely. The cinnamon caramel donut is perhaps its most widely known and beloved option, however, I'm a fan of chocolate frosted (yeast or cake). Donut offerings can vary between locations. Employees here are friendly. The strip center has accessible parking with appropriate curb cuts. The single glass door was pretty manageable. I get the sense they'd easily help if help was needed, though it's obvious that most folks with disabilities prefer independence. Overall, I'd easily claim Rise n' Roll as one of my Avon favorites. I won't dare rank the five, though a quick read of my reviews would likely make it obvious. For a more natural option in a pleasing, welcoming setting it doesn't get much better than Rise n' Roll.

I've joked about the donut wars going on in Avon, Indiana as my life has taken me through Hendricks…read moreand Putnam counties quite a bit lately. Avon has at least four donut shops within 1-2 miles of each other - Parlor, Dunkin, Pana, and Carl's. Of these, Carl's is clearly the "local" shop. It has the look and feel of a gathering place. While the others do offer sit-down dining, especially Parlor, Carl's feels like a smalltown donut joint with its simple but pleasant decor, lower pricing, and comfortable but pleasing service. Carl's Donuts & Bakery is a locally owned donut shop (Pana is also locally owned, though a growing chain). Carl's also doubles as a cafe and also serves other breakfast items alongside its donuts. The major plus to this approach for a guy like me is that fountain drinks are available including iced tea. I'm constantly dismayed how hard it is to get iced tea in donut shops. I was dismayed to read Jen F's review noting poor customer service as my experience was quite the opposite with customer service being a key strength. The basics: Carl's is located in what looks like a small office complex with a mix of retail and personal service type businesses. It's toward the back. There's some accessible parking and appropriate curb cuts. There's a double entry with glass doors that were pretty easy to manage. As you enter, a dining area is directly to the front of you and to the right side. To the left is the ordering area - I think I goofed up at entry - you begin toward the back and then exit out the front path. I went in through the front, though there wasn't a line and no one said anything. The employees asked if I was ordering breakfast or donuts. I typically get 2-3 donuts and a drink. I stuck with this plan, however, given the comfy atmosphere opted to dine in. I haven't had much time to rest recently and it was nice to sit down. I felt a little out of place (everyone else was clearly local), though everyone was friendly. I ordered chocolate covered yeast donuts and a fountain unsweetened iced tea. They offer discounts, it seems to military, teachers, and first responders. The donuts had a slightly thicker yeast than some that lean toward fluffy. These were more substantial. The chocolate reminded me of Titus Bakery. The iced tea was great - no clue on brand. I could have stuck with two donuts instead of three and been satisfied. The service was a top feature here for me. They were friendly, helpful, and patient as I figured things out. I watched them easily serve a group of senior males gathering in one corner (pouring coffee, etc.). Carl's does not have a drive-thru. Their Facebook indicates they offer curbside pick-up. In future visits, I'd likely experiment with donuts. This particular chocolate is not a favorite for me. I enjoyed it, but I'd easily experiment. There's no doubt I'd return for the service. At a time when I've recently lost my last family member, it was nice to be in a comfortable, welcoming, and warm environment. It did my spirit good. I would also love to return to enjoy a meal here. Carl's wasn't packed, but it was steady throughout my visit and it's clear that Avon loves its donuts and it loves its smalltown gathering spaces.

There was a line of people waiting patiently to select their donuts when we walked in. There were many cases filled with fresh donuts, fritters, danish, turnovers and more. Two clerk were assisting customers, most of whom were buying several dozen donuts. I got a glazed donut and my husband got an apple fritter. The fritter was bigger than his head. My glazed donut was a cake donut. It was light with a perfect glaze. The apple fritter was like a coffee cake with lots of apples and a glazed topping. He shared the fritter with our granddaughters. There was plenty to go around. The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have daily meal specials. The lady in line ahead of us said the pork tenderloin is the best in town. Pork tenderloin is only served Monday-Thursday. We'll have to come back. They have about 20 tables for eat-in dining. There is a unisex restroom. Stop #4 of the donut trail will require a return visit.

Arrived and noted that there were not many donuts in the display, but we were told they would make them for you. Okay, great. No worries. We ordered two donuts, the breakfast tacos, and a breakfast sandwich. We got milk and a regular coffee. The breakfast items came out fairly quickly, but no donuts or coffee. Kind of waited for a little and then finally had to ask, nothing was being made. Able to get my coffee and the donuts finally arrived. They were not the normal quality at all. I am not sure what they are doing. PROS: A donut place between Avon and Danville, so great for the community Parking is not an issue, but not many ways in the lot CONS: Place was not clean, tables were dirty Process to order and get items was in disarray. (they were training a new employee on the register, no issues with that at all, she was doing what she could and was being trained, they were doing a great job with that. She was not made to hurry and was learning, so all good) Items received were not the quality expected as they are making the as you order, rather than having items available so poorly made. Meaning, when they finally realized we had no donuts, they asked what we ordered and made them. The donut with chocolate icing with sprinkles was just chocolate thrown on it, melting everywhere and it was not appetizing at all. I hate to leave a bad review or a low review, but we are not planning on coming back to this facility. I will definitely try the other options.
