My husband was stung by one, and he said it was like having a lit cigarette pressed onto his finger. After debating whether to try to go at it with a wasp killing spray, we decided that this job was beyond us. Because it was a Saturday and their office was closed, we left our contact info on All Star's website. Much to my surprise, Abdul, the company owner, called me very shortly thereafter! When I explained the problem, he deemed it an emergency and offered to come to our home the following day, Sunday. He also told us exactly what it would cost (extremely reasonable). He called us again Sunday morning with an approximate time of arrival. His kept us updated by text narrowing down the exact time. He arrived "dressed for battle" in protective gear. He treated the nest several times, then waited for the hornets to expire. He was at our home for about 45 minutes. He removed the huge nest, bagged it, and took it away with him. After being pretty much held captive and not able to be in our front yard for days, this was a huge relief. I cannot say enough good things about Abdul and the service he provided. He was so knowledgeable and very friendly and personable. He explained that his practices are based on his background in biology and are environmentally friendly. We are considering signing up for a yearly contract with All Star. We have been plagued with ants entering our home over the years, as well as mice. Abdul assured us that he would handle these as needed, as well as provide termite inspections with a yearly contract. Look no further for excellent quality pest control service with an experienced professional. Thank you Abdul and All Star!!

It took All Stars 2 visits and the mice are gone. Just had a 3 month follow up and still no mice. Technician Arsene Wkouayep is outstanding, very thorough and even removed 2 wasp nests for us. I whole heartily recommend All Star, particularly Arsene.

The technician methodically assessed the problem and approached the nest from inside and outside the house. The technician located the nest and used a pesticide to kill them. The technician also stated that I should watch to see if any yellowjackets attempted to come back and if they did, he would return at no charge.

They showed up a couple of hours after the estimated time window, citing a delay at a previous job. It happens, not a big deal. They came and sprayed around the outside, plugged some gaps, and set up 3 or 4 bait traps and some sticky traps. This took all of 20 minutes. They talked me into a one year service plan that costs $1484. (I immediately felt I had been strong armed by the technician). He had also said the only way we would resolve the mouse problem was to replace all of the insulation in a part of the house. The cost was $10,000+. I declined their upsell. (A second opinion advised this insulation was unnecessary). The service plan was to come back in a month to reassess the mouse situation and replace traps. We scheduled the next service with a window of 9 am - 12 pm. I stayed home from work to wait for them. After hearing nothing , I called at 11 am for a status. I was told they were running behind and could not be there until 1 pm. That didn't work for me so we rescheduled for the next day from 8am - 11am. I stressed that I was only available until 8:45. They reassured me that I would be the first appointment. (We live about 20 minutes from their office). The following day, we stayed home again. Heard nothing until 8:26 when the technician said they were running late and could be there after 9. Frustrated, we adjusted our schedule and waited. The technician showed up reeking of weed. It was apparent the technician had smoked very recently. Perhaps that was part of the reason for the delay. They did the service and left in about 20 minutes. The technician offered to take $50 off for our trouble. Strangely, he Venmo'ed us $25 from his personal account. I called later to express my concerns. I spoke directly to the owner, Thomas. He was professional and offered to personally come back and take a look at the mouse problem. He said he'd cancel our contract and prorate the money if we wished. I stressed I had a very short time window and had to leave the house by 8:45. He assured me multiple times that he'd be "in your driveway by 7:30". The next day, after hearing nothing, I called at 8:30. Thomas had forgotten our appointment. He said he could be there in 20 minutes. I reminded him how he quite literally guaranteed that he'd be in our driveway by 7:30. He eventually said "You're right, you got me". He agreed to refund us our money for the contract. To his credit, Thomas heard my complaint with professionalism and was apologetic. His offer to take care of the issue personally at no additional cost was appreciated. Had he followed through, we would have likely remained customers. I followed up 3 times over the next 3 weeks. Heard nothing until a month later. They refunded me $935, thereby charging me over $500 for two service appointments that took all of 20-30 minutes each. We still have mice. Edit: to suggest this is fabricated is ridiculous and dishonest. Everything is documented in emails.

    Now, I know I normally write reviews on restaurants and such but I have to give a very necessary…read morepositive nod to a company that really helped me out during a renovation. I was the project manager supervising the renovation of a townhouse in the Columbia, Maryland area that has a pest infestation the likes that God himself rarely sees...and believe me, that's saying something. Every square inch (or centimeter for the metrically inclined among us) of the house had some kind of 6-legged, non-rent paying squatter, crawling around, playing cards, checking on their eggs or complaining about a bad call made by the referee against the Ravens in their most recent game against the Steelers. Needless to say when you walked into the home, two things crawled - your skin and the walls. I went through over 32 Raid insect foggers...no, ladies and gentlemen. That's not a typo. I did indeed say 32, in addition to 7 cans of Raid bug spray and I was only able to kill a tenth of what was in there. I felt like Sigourney Weaver marooned on a planet 75 light-years from Earth, positioned near the queen alien's nest with only a slingshot, 7 rocks, a mosquito net and two granola bars. I called a few pest control companies in the area, some of whom were booked solid and one who absolutely would not take the job based on the description alone (gee...whaddaya know - a pest control company that doesn't want to do pest control.) When I got to Phenom, Laurie (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) answered in a voice so polite and possessed a demeanor so jovial, she'd make a Chick-Fil-A employee seem like Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. She patiently listened as I gave her the synopsis of my problem. She then connected me with the supervisor who didn't just send employees out. He came out to the site PERSONALLY, gave an in-depth onsite assessment, and promptly with his associate began the first treatment. He informed me that there would be multiple treatments and that it would take some time, but the schedule was adhered to and the price was quite fair. Long story short, the home looks as though it NEVER had a pest infestation of any kind. And talk about professionalism - they were willing to spray each adjacent unit to ensure the problem did not migrate to the next homeowners over. Now THAT is the definition of good service! I'm not just making this review to make it seem as if they are a great company. I know for a fact that they are a great company, staffed by people who are courteous, professional, and do what they say they are going to do. Phenom is a company I trust and will definitely work with them on any and all future projects. They excel at removing pests... ...perhaps I should call them about a certain ex of mine who is proving to be somewhat troublesome. Might need more spray, though...
