Holy Shakes serves beast shakes with full slices of cheesecake on top, or regular cake/desserts. Basically, a full size mason jar full with a rimmed top, full of shake and a giant piece of cake or dessert on top, topped with whipped cream, sauce and powdered sugar. If you're not able to handle/consume one of these beast shakes, they have 'Summer Shakers' served in a more traditional slim bottle with small little fixens on top. We were in the mood for waffles as well but unfortunately they weren't available, but look forward to trying in the future! Definitely recommend, and an Indian Fusion restauraunt attached called TO Kathi Roll (TKRE), definitely a go-to spot for a full meal before/after!

This restaurant is a Picasso of deliciousness. You have Indian food fused with Mexican manifested in the form of Tikka Tacos, but then they also have over-the-top crazy milkshakes with fat slices of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake. Would highly recommend. Would also recommend they franchise it, because I will by 10,000 of these.

I heard about Holy Shakes before coming to Toronto. B and I passed by it couple times but every time we were in the area, we were full. This time after my work event, I made a trip to Holy Shakes. I came here around 10 pm and holy moly, it was busy. The place is super small and on top they share the space with T.O.'s Kathi Roll Eatery. I got the hazelnut explosion for $15. They make it upon order and it took 10 mins. The hazelnut explosion was a bit messy to consume. I was given the option of having the topping on the glass or on the side. Of course on top! So, I can get a nice picture with it. The milkshake came with a Kinder surprise egg, Bueno chocolate and Ferrero Roche on top. The milkshake was very grainy. It was not smooth. I wasn't a fan of it when I got to the end because it made my throat itchy. Basically all the hazelnut pieces went to the bottom. Also because there were no seats, I had to drink my milkshake on the way back and at the end, my hands were super messy and sticky. The flavor wasn't wow either. It was basically a vanilla milkshake mixed with Ferrero Roche. I would say the milkshake fell on the more expensive end. I felt like this was more of an Instagram gimmick. It is definitely not worth the price paid and I don't think I will be back.

Holy shakes has many locations. This is the first Toronto location (near Queen and Spadina) and the newest with the soft opening on 2021-12-11. One thing to note is that every Holy Shakes location also has a T.O.'s Kathi Roll Eatery in the same restaurant; both are owned by the same owner. The former offers dessert shakes and cakes while the latter offers fusion Indian cuisine. My son and I went on 2021-12-22 after its recent grand opening. We went to check out the new restaurant and only ordered one shake: Oreo Hazelnut Exotic Shake ($11). It comes with a Ferrero Roche on top. It was delicious, tastes fresh, and filling. Yes a $11 is expensive but shake is enough for 2 people or 1 super hungry person. I was surprised to learn that the Exotic Shakes have the same volume of milk shake as their Super Freakshakes. The former comes in a thin glass bottle while the latter comes in a wide glass mug. The Super Freakshakes come with a dessert (eg, cake, waffle) on top. There are so many shakes to pick from! What I didn't know was that you can mix and match to create hundreds of different shakes! You can also choose the ice cream option and milk option. You can take the glass bottles/mugs with you (yes, takeout orders also come in glass bottles/mugs). On you next visit, when you return the bottle/mug, you get 5% off your next order. The restaurant is small in that there are only 2 small tables and counters to put your food on. My family were planning to return in Jan to have a full meal (from both restaurants) in Jan but then there was a "no indoor dining" mandate imposed 2022-01-05. Once that happened, the tables are no longer available, even if you wanted use them to take pictures. My pictures from 2021-12-22 also include another diners' Exotic Shakes and Super Freakshakes. There is a little market where they sell pre-made shakes, cakes (that they also use in their Super freakshakes), and snacks (that they also use in their shakes). Their cakes are from Cheesecake Factory. There is free WiFi. There is a washroom whenever there is indoor dining. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.  There is parking on city streets but be aware of time restrictions. Review 2022-002. You can also find me on Instagram @chuan_chee. Thanks.

I was truly impressed - quality milkshakes here! I got the blueberry milkshake and it was really good! Came with a piece of cheesecake on the top which was a great touch. It also comes in a reusable jar which I thought was great, took it home. The service was good and the ambiance was as expected - has some chairs and tables to sit, but nothing special about the look of it. I would definitely recommend trying this spot if you're in the neighbourhood. They have food items as well which I will return to try in the future! Came here after a Michelin star experience... lets just say I may have enjoyed this the most... LOOOOOL

Good shakes, quick service and okay ambiance. It's just for the aesthetic of the milkshakes

    Review Highlights - Holy Shakes

We were intrigued by the types of milkshakes and the variety of twists to Indian street food (they are both in the same building).

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. We ordered: Medium Mango Smoothie - $7.95 Simple Pleasures Waffle - $15.50 The waffle was light and fluffy and the toppings of fruit and chocolate were a great combination. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

For items: we chose strawberry, banana, halal marshmallow, waffle bites, brownie bites, and Oreo with a round of cappuccino's ($5.50 each). The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

I stopped by Kream after seeing all the hype on Instagram about the famous Korean "Dubai…read morechocolate." When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!
