This restaurant serves more like fast food but it's all done in front of your eyes and it's kosher. Modern set up makes it cozy interior and friendly environment. This place is kid friendly. They have dishes that are perfect for kids. Chicken poppers, French fries, burgers, some salads. What I have noticed and what I didn't like. If you seating by the entrance, during winter time the wind blows right through and creates a cold draft. Also, when you seating by the windows, you get heat blower right on your face. The heaters and a.c. unit is placed on both sides by the windows at the entrance. When they cook on the grill, right in front of you, it happens time to time that high smoke accumulate and the hood can't evacuate all that smoke right away, then the smoke go's all over restaurant. Your jackets or close will smell like you worked in the kitchen as a main chief lol. If you go on the date, you know what to expect. I will defiantly go there again. I understand that you have mentioned that your establishment is kosher and you do not mix meat with dairy. very well but as explain there was no meat so why not dairy? If you just don't do dairy with this vast world of different substitutes certainly you could have done a soy cheese, and organic substitute for cheese that are sold in a number of different stores and restaurants. So I don't think that's a good reason to not have some form of cheese substitute and charge such a ridiculous price. Presentation of a Caesar salad is just as appetizing as its taste therefore the Caesar salad should have been cut a properly and not into choke size portions. By far the best sandwhich restaurant in Queens! I knew after I tried the first buffalo popper that I would be hooked. As soon as a I walked in, the first thing I noticed was the bright decor and the cleanliness. I was glad to see the food being prepped right in front of you. This was a relief because the place I usually go to for schnitzel sandwiches prepares the chicken behind a closed door and it looks really filthy back there. The people prepping the food here all wore gloves and hair nets. I also noticed that they didn't talk over the food, and I appreciated that (I notice these types of things :-). I went in with my wife and parents and we ordered the chicken poppers (buffalo flavor was WOW), burgers (easily the freshest best tasting burger on all of main street), chicken Caesar salad (very delicious), the holy schnitzel (tastes incredible on a fresh, crispy on the outside soft on the inside French baguette that will blow your socks off), a grilled chicken wrap (simply delicious with flavors that stood on their own), and fries (very good). Long story short, this is my new favorite schnitzel place on main street. The price is right and the food is incredible and is freshly prepared right in front of you. My job has ordered food from Holy Schnitzel several times as we have a few Jewish coworkers and this spot is one of the few Kosher spots around here that delivers. The food is definitely edible and I can imagine actually labeling it "good" if I were to eat it fresh in house. But we always have it delivered and often it arrives cold, soaked through the bag/wrapper, and spills everywhere. Their delivery speed is terrible and they frequently mix up our orders. (This time they were 40 minutes late than the time they said) They have a very vague labeling system so it's always hard to tell what's what. Sometimes we get extra random things and sometimes they completely forget an item or two. So I would definitely label this spot as a "meh" for delivery and wouldn't ever order from here/go out of my way to eat here if it was up to me. Chicken is always fresh, no matter what sandwich/wrap you order. My family and I have tried almost everything. Side dishes, especially Onion Rings, are a great surprise because usually people don't even bother but they should. My kids love it here! But that's because they love shnitzel :) But it's a very busy place, especially for dinner. I think it's worth the wait especially if you want a fresh dinner. I placed my order for delivery through their own app. I was sent an email asking for feedback and I gave my piece. Was waiting for the restaurant to contact me to either apologize or try and correct their mistakes but that didn't happen so here I am writing an honest review on Yelp. Every time I pass by Main Street with my wife and 4 year old son we stop by holy schnitzel. The food is really good. The restaurant has a city feel and is always kept clean. My son always gets the baby burgers which is literally a meal for an adult and he finishes the whole plate. Me and my wife always order the Jerusalem mix . In my opinion, it's one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. It really shows that the owners put in a lot of time to make sure all the flavors are always consistent. I ate here several times and I have never been disappointed. They have like a million different sauces , whole lot of toppings, many options and combinations to make your Food just the way you want it and an open kitchen with a glass panel to the salad bar so you can see your order being made. The employees are very approachable, friendly and will happily offer suggestions if you're unsure what to get. My favorite is the Tony Special; add garlic mayo, jalapeños and their beef bacon, toasted baguette, and an order of Cajun fries ...what more can I ask for...call it a day.
