We are happy repeat customers, based on experience and price…read more In our most recent work, we had a dining room window that would leak whenever rain came from the southeast (not a frequent occurrence). We asked for a quote from My WIndow Solutions, got one that was quite good. We had explained the rationale for getting a replacement window (the leak). Parry sent over his crew right away to caulk around the existing one so we wouldn't get any incursion while waiting for the new one to arrive and get installed. Nice! For this job, I had also asked to have a custom window casing and deep windowsill built. We agreed that I'd buy the materials (a particular trim profile and hardwood species), prime them, and they'd do the cutting and installation. This collaboration worked perfectly.

update Oct 9th The sad thing about My Windows Solutions is…read morethat I really like the people. They are animal rescuers and are so courteous. But when something goes wrong with the windows or blinds, it's the screen guys or contractors in my family that have to tell me that their work is shotty. It hasn't been a year and I have had so many problems and they make it like I am a complainer. My window that previously had large bow that the screen guy had to point out has another problem that bows the other way and won't close properly. Lonnie came out that night, which is priceless and sweet. But he said the window may need to be done again, which makes it so the custom screens need to be redone, which cost me a lot. I'm a disabled senior on fixed income and paid a lot for the windows and blinds. The screen people that are far more experienced and well reviewed said they never saw so many mistakes on brand new windows. It hasn't been a year. I got new windows so I didn't have to worry about them and it's worse now than the old windows. They better stand behind this and help with the screens, because this is unacceptable. Carlos and Joshua came by to replace defective blinds. And they checked other. They really stand behind their products and service. Lonnie the manager is the best to work with and will always address concerns. I continually applause My Windows Solutions and promote them to my neighbors and friends.

So far, this has been the best experience in my stressful renovation process (you know what I am…read moretalking about). I was originally quoted $5,500 for my windows, and the team has been incredibly professional--their employees are responsible and follow up with me consistently. What is truly unheard of in the construction business is what happened next: they actually lowered the final price to $5,300 without me even asking! Usually, prices only go up, so this level of honesty is refreshing. Even though I've had to get multiple quotes for every other trade due to some 'crazy' numbers out there, I didn't even bother looking for a second estimate for the windows. The initial $5,500 was a fair deal for my project, and the final $5,300--which includes the installation--is a total win. I'm looking forward to the next step, and I'll definitely be back to share how the installation goes!

This is a WARNING to anyone who wants to do business with CMR CONSTRUCTION AND REMODEL who is based…read more in Port Hueneme. We hired this company to remodel our two small bathrooms. First, I'll start off with saying after asking around and doing our research we decided to go with CMR CONSTRUCTION. The plan was to have our two bathrooms done in the course of a month 2 weeks per bathroom. We paid the down payment and agreed to a schedule to get the project completed. Upon getting the payment his attitude completely changed. First day came and he was off to a bad start. Let me emphasize how horrible this owner is with COMMUNICATION! No phone call or anything to let us know he was not going to show up the VERY first day scheduled to work. This was a everyday thing him saying he was on his way to our house, never showing up, and FULL of crazy excuses for why he was missing. Everyday was a disaster with him. I tried multiple times working with him and tried to understand why a business man would be like this only to conclude that I had made a HUGE MISTAKE by hiring him. It got so bad that when I would try and call him or text him to show up for work he would just ignore my messages. This man Is a HUGE LIAR and will tell you anything! It got so bad that I just wanted him to finish the first bathroom and not even start the second at all. I gave this man so many opportunities to redeem himself. He agreed to complete one bathroom and finish ASAP but like clock work he got back to his bad habits of being deceitful and no communication. This project brought so much stress that I was just wanting to be done and never see him again. That's exactly what he did. He stopped showing up completely. That's when I got fed up and decided to let him know I was going to get my attorney involved. Wouldn't you believe it that he sure answered those messages. Always playing the victim apologizing and being so phony with all his lies. The day came he was supposed to show up to finish the job that HE (Carlos Rodriquez) WAS CONTRACTED TO DO. Instead, he sent his dad and brother, FYI who are not under his contracting license and you can be held liable if anything should go wrong. All his licensing information is on CSLB.ca.gov. One day they just showed up and said they were sent to finish his job. The owner never bothered to let us know that he was sending them to finish the work that He refused to complete. He completely stopped communicating with us and we never heard from him again. Contract at your own risk! Honestly do yourself a favor and find someone who's more competent and reliable than CMR CONSTRUCTION AND REMODEL INC.#1024055 to avoid the stress and headache this has brought to us.To conclude, his license is under suspension right now as of February 2023 on California contractor state license board and hopefully will stay that way!!
