She proceeded to look me dead in the eye and lock the doors. I couldn't believe it, we are in the middle of a pandemic with a failing economy. You would think they would be welcoming customers, especially after being without a job during the month long closures. The parking lot is deserted as always, this location was never very popular and on its way to closing it's doors already. So i didnt catch that it had caught ich. Wiped out some of the weaker small fish and 3 gourami in my tank. I called the location and advise them thet there is ich in their tanks. Managers were aware and they had treated all fish tanks. They also told me they are making sure that all new fish are treated on arrival. Diana told me that they will make things right for me wednesday. I am impressed they owned up to a mistake that was not solely theirs.

She was carefully working within her allowance budget, and the tank was clearly marked at $4.98 for assorted African cichlids, which is where we selected both fish from. Unfortunately, when we got to the register, one fish rang up at $20.99 and the other at $19.98. The explanation we were given was that the fish sometimes jump between tanks. While I understand that can happen, the store has dividers/partitions available and could easily separate or properly label the fish. At the very least, someone could have informed us before we spent time picking them out and getting excited about bringing them home. It was especially frustrating because my daughter was trying to responsibly budget her own money, only to be blindsided at checkout by prices that were 4-5 times higher than advertised. Accurate labeling and communication matter, especially when families and kids are shopping.

So people know, most owners use AI to respond to us, this is just some blanket comment the "owner" left to cover their tracks. Sunday evening my son was out at Lake Lavon and saw a couple of stray labradoodles eating in the trash. So he brought them home and although we tried, the doodles had been loose in the brush and thickets around the lake for some time and their coats were full of burrs and sticker bushes. It was terrible. We tried to do the best cleaning we could so that at least the female doodle could eat again as the burrs were all around her mouth, but they were still in rough shape. Was planning on taking them to the Allen shelter Monday morning but they wouldn't take them as they were found outside city limits and said contact the county shelter. Unfortunately county shelter is closed on Mondays. I decided to get them a professional groom to clean them up properly but no one would see them on such short notice. A few told me that they could see them in a month even after I explained the situation. :( I called Bark and Purr and although they were closed for renovations, the owner Linda listened to the story about the doodles and told me to bring them immediately and she'll take care of them personally. And she did. Not only did they give them a shampoo and cleaning but also offered to let them stay in their kennels until we found the owners or could place them with the DFW doodle rescue as we have 2 pups and limited space. She then sent out the picture of the doodles to all her accounts and sure enough one of their customers knew the doodles' owners and contacted the owners and they were reunited. In the end not only did Bark and Purr Grooming go above and beyond what other groomers would do but also helped to reunite the doodles with their family just for the love of all animals. I couldn't have done it myself and I truly appreciated how much care Bark and Purr showed to these poor lost doodles. Highly recommend this business in every way I can. I will always be taking my muppets here from now on and tell everyone always use Bark and Purr. They truly care. Much love.

We wanted to keep some length on our sweet pup, but make sure she would be cool enough with outside temperatures. Lovey was happy when we picked her up, which tells me she was loved while there. Aside from the excellent grooming job, the staff at Bark and Purr are PHENOMENAL to their customers. I had 2 of my young daughters with me when I picked up our puppy. They were both visibly upset due to a situation unrelated to the business and the staff was beyond kind and made sure my children and I were safe and okay. We will definitely be back! Their first priority is the animals, where it should be. This morning my dog passed and I did not know what to do. I was here alone after a recent back surgery and did not know what to do. I emailed the animal shelter early this morning and got a quick response. They helped me take care of everything while the family was away and were incredibly compassionate and professional. Everyone was super helpful and friendly with every step of the process, providing all the needed information and helping me feel more confident about pet ownership.
