Review update: My husband and I just got a new dog and needed a couple things while potty training her. I have yet to experience such amazing customer service at any other pet store. The 2 guys helping me today were absolutely amazing! Kurt was SO helpful!! He got to know me better and when he learned I just got a new dog, he asked me questions to ensure my new pup was set up for success. I came in here looking for a couple things and left with over $100 worth of products lol. He also gave me some samples for my dog to try which was awesome! I'm a first time dog owner and still learning, so his help was so appreciated! The other guy - I didn't catch his name (has tattoos, glasses and a cat named Bandit) was also so nice and really personable. I really love shopping here!! I came here right after work so didn't have my dog, but I'm SO excited to bring her soon!!! I'm so happy I found this place on Yelp! The first time going - I was on the hunt for a cute baked good treat for my friends dog. They had a good selection and she loved the treats! I noticed they sell my cats food for a better price vs the pet store by me so went back yesterday to grab some. The employees here have always been super friendly and helpful. I bought a case of Weruva for my cat and they give you a 5% discount for buying the case! They also have a punch card where after you buy 12 cases you get the next one free. Love that! Contrary to one of the reviews, I'm not a friend of any of the employees, I don't even live close by, today was my second visit to the store. I made the trip out partly because I was running some errands on the north side, and secondly because it was a destination for me. My usual Pet Supplies plus while they carry the brand of my dog's food, they don't carry the weight management selection. With this in mind, I was planning to try to make it out here for it. Another reason for me to make it out here is they have a loyalty club, if I buy 11 bags, the 12th one is free, along with better pricing. Staff is friendly and helpful, each time I was greeted promptly and asked if I needed assistance. Also, each time they offered to carry the bag to the counter and out to my car. I'm able to handle that on my own, but in each case, the door going out was held open for me. The store isn't the size of some of the big guys, however they carry what I need, and they even have a doggie wash, I know that's a common add on now, but still a nice touch. If I lived in the area, this would be my regular store, but for now I'll make it a point to stop by while in the area. I can never go wrong with having an extra bag of dog food around, as I somehow seem to be running out for it when I'm down to his last meal. read more

I just gave my pup a bath and I loved the washing stations. It's $14 and they have everything you need even a deskunkifying shampoo. Other shampoos include hot spot, itch, and a general cleaning shampoo. The stations remind me of a car wash but for a dog. Super easy to use the hose, and water temperature/pressure is just right. I love these bath times because I can sneak few kisses from her while she is trapped in the bath. I think she likes them too and enjoys the attention. read more

Been coming here over a year now- making the trip from Chicago and it's still a five-star experience. We love the spaw and our dog does, too! So many great treats and toys and promotions. I took my dog to the self service dog wash today for the first time. The staff person went above and beyond her duty - making sure the water was warmed up and even helping me get my large breed and very reluctant pup into the washing station. I have previously visited the store and have always found the staff to be super friendly and helpful. The washing stations are very good. You have a choice of shampoos (smelly dog, calming, and sensitive skin), plenty of towels and an air dryer (not heated). The water hose is very easy to use. It's really a bargain at $14 a wash and gets the job done! I will certainly be back! read more

I just moved to the area and needed some particular items for my dogs, and to send to Jamaica to a rescue facility. I was so impressed by the friendliness, professionalism and courtesy of the two employees who greeted us. Josh and the female employee who I can't recall the name of, both helped me find the exact items I needed. They also do charity work and have a rewards program. This store is perfect! I'm not sure what the employees friends are doing writing reviews for this place but I'm sure it would not be the first time that has happened or the last. So basically, it's pet supplies plus. I couldn't find anything that differentiated this place from another warehouse type of establishment. Even the lighting in the ceiling feels like your in best buy. Only now everyone is jumping on the a la natural market. When I went in there Liz?I think just ignored me and was playing swipey on her cell phone at the register. PetPeople opened not long ago in Evanston. It's quickly become our go to for everything for our new puppy. The store is very clean, bright and well stocked with a great selection of products. The employees are very knowledgeable and super friendly. They also have self serve dog wash stations for $12. What a deal! Large stainless steel tubs with shampoo, towels, smocks and air dryers. Everything you might need. Our dog loves going just as much as we do. Unfortunately their location is a bit awkward, as it doesn't face Green Bay Rd. If you didn't know they were there you'd probably just drive right by. They do have a parking lot just off of Green Bay in front of their store. Hopefully people will find them because we'd hate to see them close. read more

I accidentally bought some grain free version of my normal brand food thinking they had just repackaged. This is a wonderful store with the highest quality pet products. My dog has a history of bladder stones and there's only one food he can eat. The manager Tony Smith always made sure it was stocked for me. Tony inspires a warm sense of family and community throughout his excellent staff.
