I went in for a simple return but I requested a (paper) copy of my return receipt showing my refund amount because I like to keep it til I see it has posted back to my account. I get that business are steering away from paper receipts but man the system didn't print my receipt and what an ordeal it was to get my paper copy. I waited for over 15 mins after completing the return just to get a receipt. They seriously need to update whatever systems they use because why can't the employees just hit reprint is beyond me?! The manager had to go to the back and pull it up in order to give me the copy and I like I said I waited and waited spent my entire lunch break to do a return that shouldn't have taken longer than 5 mins max. Also 10 cents for a bag is ridiculous when I'm buying clothes - do better H&M!!!

This past Friday evening, unfortunately, I had the WORST shopping experience I've ever had while picking up an online order at Macys Westfields (Citrus Park). While there I decided to do some additional Xmas decor shopping. I took extra time looking for multiples of each type I selected and had to take extra care as the ornaments were glass/fragile. I would from time to time feel someone looking my way and would glance up and notice multiple "customers" glancing/watching me and following me around the store. I have to mention there were other customers there also shopping for decor - but no one that looked like me... Then a cashier that worked in the Men's Department (a good distance away)came over to the Decor section to ask me if "I needed some help." Already feeling very uncomfortable, I was ready to go. I followed her all the way over to the Men's Dept. I asked her if she had the appropriate paper to wrap the ornaments, although she mentioned that she would go over to customer service to get the right wrapping, she and the other cashier with her found a few sheets of used tissue paper under the counter to wrap over $100.00 worth of glass/fragile ornaments and stuffed them all in one regular bag, not a box as they usually do!! I was pissed!! Before leaving, I remembered that I needed to stop by the perfume section to smell a certain fragrance I purchased online. Then a cashier, that did not look like me and was not assisting me came right into my personal space and started straightening up/arranging the perfume bottles and picking up the fragrance tester cards around me that Bella (cashier), was helping me with. Both Bella and I looked at her and she looked at me & Bella and apologized... Then Bella went to get a fragrance she wanted me to try and I asked her if I could try these perfumes on the tray right in front of me and she said of course! I tried one or two of them and something told me to take one full step away from the counter and when I did, I saw at least one other "customer" watching me as our eyes met, he almost knocked perfume boxes off the table watching me!! I decided not to buy anything from there! I was sooooo angry and frustrated!! I had to stop by Customer Service on the way out the door as the very nice cashier that helped me initially with my on-line order asked me to stop back by Customer Service to ensure I received the current discounted price... When I next in line, a guy walks out of the back customer service area to take care of me only... He didn't look like a regular cashier based on how he was dressed and he had a beret/hat on his head - more like security... He checked my receipt and some of the items in the box. I indicated that the cashier that helped me with my pick up order, recommended that I double check the items I ordered online to ensure I received the current/best discounted price. To add insult to injury - he appeared to be giving the items extra scrutiny... I was so angry by the time I walked out of there, I called my best friend in another state to tell her what happened! If it hadn't been so late in the evening and all that Friday traffic, I would have turned around and RETURNED IT ALL and am still planning to!! There were other customers there that didn't look like me and did not get the type of attention I did during my SHOPPING WHILE BLACK experience... As a 60+ retired military, disabled veteran with over 40 total years of service to my country, I refuse to spend my hard earned money where I am not respected and am what appears to be racially profiled - especially in times like these!! For some reason clothing manufacturers believe that larger clothing needs to be higher priced. It really doesn't. Especially Tees and polos. There isn't that much more fabric. The store was clean and well maintained, save for the bathroom which had a lack of a working towel dispenser or toilet paper holder, both were just rolls set on top of things. Stay classy Tampa. The store is necessary. Yes, They carry Big and Tall sizes, Emphasize on the TALL. They seem to have a LOT in that category.

Sure enough I found fleece lined leggings for a pretty reasonable price too so I ordered 2 pairs and had them shipped along with a few cute sweatshirts. I was so surprised at the quality and feel of the clothes once they arrived. The leggings are so soft and seem to be warm. I can't wait to wear them. Love that they offer the ability to shop online and pickup in store however wish they offered a ship to store as a means to save shipping. They are a bit pricey on some of the items but they tend to have good sales. Now they are doing an Old Navy Cash too where you earn dollars to spend towards a future purchase. Fortunately, I know my wife loves dresses by Torrid and found one in a mall not far from the meadery were going to pay a visit. Located at the Citrus Park Mall, Torrid was easy to locate from the northside entrance by Dick's. I picked up for my wife a couple of nice dresses she saw and some other items. Overall the experience was quite nice, being I've never set foot in a Torrid before. The sales associates were very friendly. We found what we needed for the weekend, and all was right in the universe.
