There is a woman's smaller shop next to the larger unisex larger shop at the corner. Found a sweater for my niece in a salmon color, only had two color options in this sweater. Found a small long sleeved shirt for my nephew as well. Not as many options as I would have liked at all. But found two items that were mildly acceptable. read more

My partner and I are visiting from california. Came into the shop for a swim suit. Selection was really great. Quality is great. The only thing that threw my partner and I off was the customer service when she went to try on a swimsuit. Two associates were just standing there waiting for us to leave which made the experience uncomfortable. one of the associates (which looked to be an older lady) was just starring at the door which my partner was changing in which I thought to be weird. Same with the other associate also just standing at the door. Regardless, the associate that attended us at the check out was nice. read more

We just love this store. We try to make a trip to Clearwater a few times a year and Ron Jon is always a must stop on our walks. They have 2 stores next to each other. One is geared to women and the other men. Great selection of Roxy swimwear. On the guys side a great selection of board shorts that includes Rip Curl (hard to find them anywhere else) and Olukai footwear. Why 5 stars (besides the great selections), the employees are absolutely the best! Helpful, happy, and professional. read more

There is just something about a Surf Shop, particularly Ron Jon's. Every time I visit this or any other Ron Jon's I feel like I should be a surfer girl, nevermind the fact that I really don't surf and am easily NOT a "girl" anymore. (I DO stand up paddle-board...does that count?) The only problem, if you can call it that, is I LOVE almost everything in this store from the surf shirts, to bathing suits, to hats, cool drink cups, towels, trinkets...I could go on and on. This shop is super clean, well stocked, and the staff are so helpful. The Ron Jon's here in Clearwater has a smaller shop for ladies apparel right next door the to main shop. If you're looking for cute beachwear, look no further. Darling suits, coverups, board shorts, jewelry, hats...almost anything you can imagine. There is nowhere like this Ron Jon's --unless of course you're heading to Cocoa Beach or Key West. You'll definitely want to check them out too. COVID precautions in place---masks required, social distancing and hand sanitizer available. We can't visit Clearwater without visiting Ron Jon's! read more

Nice little shop with some nice items. It's located right under the Hooters restaurant on the beach. Staff very friendly and greeted us as we walked in. We ended up purchasing a shirt for my daughter while we visited. They also have a smaller store right next door. read more

The staff here are very nice and polite. The tee shirts and merchandise are pretty dope. It's not a huge shop like Cocoa Beach but it's a nice assortment of clothing for men, women, and children. I would highly recommend this shop for tee's, beach clothing and merchandise. read more

Went in for swim suit bottoms and came out with those, a long sleeve and sweat pants.......realized I didn't lose my swimsuit bottoms and took them back same day no issue and bought two more sweatshirts! Great customer services, great selection and fair prices! read more

I like the Ron Jon stores but this one is lacking due to the small size. If you've been to the Ft. Myers or Cocoa stores you'll understand. That didn't stop us from enjoying our trip in, but the clothing selection is limited. Cheers. read more

Always a favorite.... the store is smaller than others and has less inventory for dudes. I usually purchase at least one outfit per visit. Still one of the best options in Clearwater Beach.... I'd suggest more Billabong options! read more

I often see store comparisons and most are apples to oranges. The tag line for Cocoa Beach in "One-on-a-kind!" It's obvious that Ron Jon wanted a presence in Clearwater Beach. They already have one in Tampa International Airport. Is it fair to compare all of them? Really? This store on Mandalay will get "visitors" the Ron Jon essentials needed to show for their vacay! The day I was there, the staff played nice, was quite pleasant and helpful to us. With the target demographic being touristas, this Ron John was adequate enough. read more

If ownership could do something to improve the parking experience and parking options, that would really help the shopping experience at this Ron Jon location. read more

If you've been to the one in cocoa beach be prepared for absolutely nothing like it. This store is much smaller. Looks are totally deceiving from the website. I won't waste my time at this one again. It's ok if you've never been to Ron Jon's. But you have to pay to park. We felt it was a joke! Honestly it's worse then there store in Disney springs. read more

Great place! Decent prices and great selection. Employees were AMAZING. They gave me a military discount without me even asking for it and also employ veterans which is awesome. Had an issue two weeks after I purchased a shirt, and they let me exchange it with no receipt no questions asked and were actually very friendly and helpful about the whole situation. Honestly, Ron Jon is always my MUST go-to when I visit Florida or any state with a Ron Jon. I'm always pretty satisfied with the merch I leave with. Just a little upset this time around. Found a shirt I REALLY loved and I put it on for my flight and noticed after wearing it for the first time that the entire right arm seam was ripped :( pretty bummed. But too late to exchange now, being back in Detroit. Just wish the cashier or someone had noticed before selling it to me. read more

Meh. It's just a standard touristy surf shop, filled with cheap beach toys, sunglasses, t shirts, and flip flops. Not a lot to mention here, but they take their sunglass purchases here seriously, as they clean them for you, ask if there are any scratches, and then box them back up for you (doesn't say much for the crowd that would frequent this place, shame on you, fellow tourists!). I haven't been to any other locations so to me this store seemed big. Lots of different beachy items and t-shirts. Plenty of touristy type gifts and kitchy items to take home as souvenirs. It's located in a nice shopping area of Clearwater Beach, I did think it was a little overpriced. During the day it gets very busy but I found other shoppers friendly and polite. A very small presentation of the Ron Jon brand. This a not the type of beach store I have come to expect from Ron Jon. Seems they have opened a small store, just to have name recognition available to the tourist industry. The store is clean. Their customer service was good. I loved the service! Most recently i went in and bought puravida bracelet and one costed 6 and the other 2 were 7 in total it came out to 21. I gave the cashier a 40 dollar bill, after tax it was all 21 i only received $17 back. Very wrong math and wasn't acceptable. Happy we have a Ron Jons on Clearwater Beach. Nicely done. Yes its a smaller store then the huge one in Cocoa Beach... But they are here. Surf style is your Walmart of surf shops if your looking for cheap chinese crap or shell trinkits assebeled by child slave labor on the Philippines. Ron Jons may cost 10 percent more but your t shirt isnt falling apart or rhe transfer design flaking off after 3 washes. Our way cool Mandalay Surf Shop closed up. Sorry..but Bob deserved to retire after over 30 yrs. The Freaki Tiki brothers shop is the only other original shop left. Wings and Surf Style are mega chains. read more

My brother and I went in to the store to look at skim boards, knowing absolutely nothing about the subject except that we were doing something extremely wrong! James was extremely helpful with educating us about the different types of boards, from makers to weight limits to how to actually use and keep and store the boards.
