Poolside is a men's and women's fashion store that is divided into two separate stores. They are located next door to each other in the Shoppes on Sand Key. I was only in the Poolside for Men. This is a great men's store for high-end tastes. They had Tommy Bahama and other good lines of men's apparel. There was a pretty good selection of everything from flip-flops to hats. Obsessed with this gem in Sand Key! Both the men's and women's store have an array of great quality name brand items that make the perfect beachwear for anyone looking for a stylish new outfit. I just got the cutest swimsuit in the women's section- their swimwear has a variety of options for all ages and lifestyles. There are timeless beach brands like Lilly Pulitzer as well as newer fashionable brands such as Frankie's Bikinis. The staff are also very friendly and helpful! What a hidden gem Poolside is. Located next to Columbia Restaurant in Sand Key, they have both a women's and men's store. I go here to shop for my fiancé and the ladies are alway so friendly, patient, and helpful! A brilliant selection of so many great brands; Lilly Pulitzer, Gretchen Scott, Trina Turk, Vineyard Vines, etc... They also have a great selection of sandals (Jack Rogers and Olukai), swimwear, and sunglasses. Poolside is a super friendly boutique beach shop. They carry Brighton, Vineyard, and Tommy Bahama amongst many others. They had a ten dollar swimsuit section on the ladies side, and I found some inventive jewelry sets artisan crafted from recycled materials. Of course they carried Pandora. The men's side carried the same great boating and active shoes, and the attendant was just as friendly as well. Great place to browse although I could get into some serious credit card trouble here since some of the brands and items are seriously high end, and gorgeous. I will probably make the drive over next time I need to buy a bathing suit, because they had a ton of great gear in a spacious and aesthetically pleasing shop. A cool gift finding spot too. They seemed totally welcoming to browsers, as well which is important in a tiny beach town with so many tourists! read more

The casual wear, accessories, bathing suits and sandals selection and quality at Poolside are excellent and the sales staff is professional, intuitive and fast. I popped in on my recent visit to Clearwater to pick up a bathing suit (having left my suit at home.) I told Beverly of my haste and what my preferences were. I picked out a couple of Miracle suits (brand name) and with those preferences, she brought additional suits to the dressing room that were much more affordable and completely consistent with my taste and needs. She then recommended a coverup (thankfully!) and with those selections, I was at the register and on my way in record time. I'll be visiting on my next trip and will allow time to browse the entire shop! read more

What an experience! Friendly, helpful, got you what ever you needed, brought it to you, and never oversold, just completely wanting to please and happy and I had a great shopping experience! Completely unlike, totally opposite from the horrid experience I had at palm palms, which was rude, condescending, unhelpful, and I of course will never shop at palm palms and always shop at poolside, simply the best! This store only deserves 2 stars based on the fact that the women who helped me the times I have been in were extremely helpful. My recent experience however has caused me to go so far as to create a poor review. As a former business owner and hospitality professional I am appalled at the way I was treated. I purchased a bathing suit that was much more expensive than I normally would consider. I expressed concern when I bought it because it had beaded metal parts hanging off. I was then told that it was fine and if anything happened I could come back. I wore it twice and neither time I went into the water yet came home after a couple of hours of wearing it under a cover up to find one of the tassels was missing. I don't blame this on the store as it is a clear design problem. I called to tell them about it and ask if I could exchange it and was told I'd get a callback after the person spoke with the owner. I received a call back and was told that it had been longer than two weeks (although it was two weeks to the day) and they couldn't do anything. I didn't ask for my money back and even asked if they could contact someone for me and order another tassel for the bathing suit but wasn't given any help. I was offering to pay for it. I have sent and taken several people there but will no longer do so as I was clearly brushed off. I liked going there because of the personal service and while the ladies who work there are great, the owner clearly doesn't care. It's not about the money at all, but by the way it was handled. I always shop at non-chain stores and small businesses because I like to support good people but I will not be back there. Make sure you keep your reciepts and test out your merchandise before it's too late!!! read more
