It is without any hesitation that I recommend Holland's Custom Cabinets for any custom cabinetry that you may be contemplating. We have used them multiple times for different areas in our home and are always dreaming of the next project when we may be able to incorporate the quality and expertise that they provide with a new upgrade. The initial project was a built-in wall system including a sub-zero wine storage unit and other entertainment equipment. They also did a remodel of our family room fireplace hearth and mantle. They remodeled our kitchen with cabinets and countertops, a breakfast nook area, pantry, and a serving bar including some very detailed carved-wood finishes. Later, we used them to add built-in custom book-cases and cabinets along with crown molding in our Master Bedroom. For our most recent project, they completely reworked our formal living room with a built-in lighted wall unit, a formal fireplace mantle, crown molding and other finish details, as well as a complete remodel of our Master Bathroom, again with built-in quality cabinets, and our Powder Room with many upgrades and special details. It is rare for someone to visit our home and not comment on the beautiful work they have done. Not only does Holland's do terrific work, but they are creative problem solvers and honest tradesmen. They are quick to come up with solutions to problems that arise in the field and I never felt, as I have with other contractors, that they used those opportunities to generate a costly change order. I have enormous respect for both Dave and Randy, who often were better at figuring out what I wanted than I was, and then carried through and got it done, above and beyond my expectations! We have worked with outside designers, with Holland's doing only the physical work, and with Holland's team of in-house designers, and have been satisfied both ways. In fact, in the case of our using outside designers, the designers were so pleased with the work that they brought in photographers to take photos after completion to showcase in their portfolios. We had an excellent experience working with Hollands Custom Cabinets on our kitchen remodel. Ty Hollimon served as our project manager and was incredibly helpful throughout the design process. He came up with the layout of the kitchen, including adding an island and relocating the refrigerator and pantry to make the space more functional and better organized, and made sure everything was designed and built to the exact dimensions of the space. Going into the remodel, I had a very specific vision: a mid-century kitchen with warm woods and materials that would feel updated but still look like it belonged in our 1950s mid-century ranch home. Ty helped guide us toward the walnut cabinetry, and the result is exactly what we were hoping for. The grain and texture are beautiful, and the stain highlights the wood perfectly. The kitchen feels modern but still completely appropriate for the character of the house. I especially love the island and the custom shelves he designed. Both are standout features that really anchor the space and make it feel thoughtfully tailored to our home. Hollands manufactured the cabinets quickly and the installation team did a great job. We were having our custom home constructed in 2016 and Hollands came highly recommended by our contractor as well as by a previous Hollands customer. Hollands built and installed our kitchen cabinets and island, cabinetry for four full bathroom, a small office, as well as a couple of storage areas during the initial build. During the initial construction and install we were very happy with both the materials, timing and attention to detail provided by Hollands. The cabinets came out beautiful and a year and a half after the initial installation we are still very happy with our decision to use Hollands. Several months after we moved in we had Hollands design and install a corner seating unit into the breakfast area. Ty Holliman came out and measured, designed and supervised the whole project as if it were being done to his own home. Perfectly matching the existing kitchen cabinetry, making sure it was exactly what we wanted, paying attention to the littlest of details and finishing the job on the promised time schedule. We recently had the pleasure of working with Hollands Custom Cabinets to remodel our 21 year old kitchen, laundry room and media center. It was important for us to have custom hardwood cabinets that were made locally and installed by the company that made them so that there was complete ownership of the project. Our designer Randy dedicated the time needed to truly understand our vision and functional requirements. We were limited with our floorplan as to what we could do with new cabinets and Randy's advice helped us to maximize the efficiency of the three areas and achieve the aesthetic we wanted. We have built or remodeled a number of homes, several with custom cabinets. We recently completed the remodel of a condominium in a high-rise San Diego building. One of the best subcontractors was Holland's Custom Cabinets. Holland's is by far the best cabinet maker that we have had. We worked mostly with David Nunes, who was patient and creative in meeting our needs; his design skills and CAD presentations were impressive. The cabinets (kitchen, living room, study, hall, and two bathrooms) were crafted in record time - well before what had been promised. This, in spite of several changes that we made during production - no problem. Installation was quick and painless - wonderful installers. After installation, minor problems were dealt with efficiently and honestly. The cabinets look great, not only from the standpoint of workmanship, but also in terms of their design. We are over the moon about our kitchen remodel. The cabinets made by Holland's are beautiful and extremely good quality. More importantly, the design ideas provided by Ty at Holland's were instrumental in creating the perfect layout. Due to the custom nature of the cabinets, every inch of cabinetry space is used to perfection. They even created a four tiered rounder in a blind corner that would have been wasted space. Ty was patient with my revisions and eloquently explained what would work and what would not. We were so pleased we also used Holland's for a laundry room and butler's panty area. Everything is hidden so that it is a show piece. They created a cat door for the litter box as well! We subsequently used Holland's for 3 or our bathroom remodels with a 4th in the near future. Holland's produces truly custom cabinetry. I contacted several 'custom' cabinet companies before finding Holland's only to find out they weren't interested in making cabinets that fit into my home. Our designer - Jed - created the perfect cabinets in our master bath and the kitchen. He designed around odd angles and created a unique vanity I requested for our master bathroom. The kitchen Jed helped us design turned out so much better than I ever expected. Our work was completed in 2011 and 2012 and the cabinetry is still absolutely beautiful.
