I've been remiss in not completing this review for Matthew. I had him design and install two closets in my new ADU several months ago. He does amazing work. Respectful, talented, conscientious and just a really great guy. During that project I found out Matthew also installs TVs. So then I had him in all 3 TVs in the ADU and one in the main house. Again, I couldn't be happier. Take a look at the one in the picture-it's one of my most favorite items-TV mounted on ceiling and remotes to position the TV-it's awesome! Where to start...I have seen the IKEA hacks all over social media. Long story short, we found Matthew and he built us much needed storage wardrobes in our master bedroom and a storage unit connected to a desk in our downstairs entryway. The photos don't do it justice. Matthew was wonderful in all aspects. He communicated exceptionally well. He helped us order everything (he placed the order in store and we simply showed up to pay for it and arrange delivery). He came out to the house to measure and take photos. He even moved an electrical outlet so we can charge devices inside the cabinet (we love a decluttered home). Matthew is knowledgeable about the IKEA products which is what made the difference in us trying to DIY the project (would have been a disaster) vs. having a professional "hack" the look. A lot of the IKEA hacks using certain products were done prior to IKEA changing some of the materials and ways in which they make specific units. Matthew's knowledge helped is tremendously as the desk drawers are actually a kitchen cabinet and he ordered shelving material (all from IKEA) to match the dark grey color of the pax wardrobe and front kitchen cabinet drawers. It saved us from trying to paint the sides of the pull out drawer cabinet (which based on online tutorials is a challenge). We are beyond happy with the way everything turned out. We wish we had known about Matthew prior to using a closet company in our new home. We know Matthew could have designed and built us an AMAZING master closet. He is reasonably priced and worth every penny. Forgot to mention in a different online review that he secures the furniture to the wall as well as reinforces it when building it. read more

Matthew was fantastic to work with. He competed a challenging TV mounting above our fireplace with no visible wiring. Matthew communicated clearly in advance of the installation regarding what would be needed on our end. He visited the site a day ahead of time to make measurements and plan for what supplies were needed. He quoted us a fair price range ahead of time, and stayed within this range in final billing despite the project taking longer than expected (~8 hours). Regarding the day of the installation, he showed up on time. The quality of his work was the highest level. He spent extra time to minimize wall damage. In fact, there are no visible spots of drywall damage, except for one patch behind the TV itself. The wires had to navigate two 90 degree turns, but this too was managed without wall damage. It was very clear that there would have been a faster way to complete the project that would have caused wall damage, but Matthew holds himself to a higher standard, and the results speak for themselves. To top it off, Matthew is very nice, patient, and hardworking. I would give him 6 stars if that was allowed! read more

We hired Matthew for a special project. He was recommended to us by a friend as someone that knew a lot about Ikea products. We were looking for someone that could use their products in a creative way without breaking the bank. The remodel was for our daughter's bedroom. She has chronic pain and it causes a lot of issues for her on a regular basis. She wanted a place to store her collectibles and needed more storage and organization to help her with her day-to-day struggles. I have worked in the interior design and home improvement field for a while. I did some initial sketches and then used Ikea's tools to create some cool ways to transform her room. I just needed someone to bring it to life. Matthew did that and more. As some may know, the pandemic has wreaked havoc on Ikea's supply chain. Also, many people are creating home offices and re-organizing their living spaces. The employees there are overwhelmed and aren't able to provide the best service. That's where Mr. Jenkins comes in. He knows their products really well and also knows how their operations work. He guided us through the process and filled in the gaps for us. He told us the best days and times of day to order. He also suggested alternatives for out of stock products and also made custom adjustments when needed. Beyond that, he was able to get us an out of stock closet frame and door that we were having trouble finding. After a few weeks, our daughter's bedroom has been transformed. The joy of seeing her smile and enjoy her new space is inexplicable. Matthew and his assistant Josh really hit it out of the park and we plan on hiring his services again for other projects we have planned. Needed some hinges and drawer glides fixed or replaced. Matthew was quick to respond to my request and came out to take a look. Charged me $150 and said he needed to order the supplies for the repair, and would get back to us. That was 2 weeks before Christmas. We followed up with him via email, text, phone calls. If someone could earn 10 stars, Matt would be my first 10 star review. I was referred to Matt after spending time in Ikea designing my closet and I couldn't have gotten luckier. He came and measured, help tackle some mistakes I had made with my first design and even went with us to Ikea to make changes and help us place the order. We decided to do two closets (one of which is a bedroom turned into a closet). Matt managed the entire process, including some unfortunate mistakes out of his control with Ikea. He (and his partner, Josh) were amazing throughout the entire install and even came back to help make some quick edits after I started to fill the closet. He has an eye for space and the ability for him to make custom solutions is invaluable. Sometimes dealing with prefab cabinets like Ikea, you need the ability to have some custom designs and Matt created me the perfect cabinet to fill in a gap. Just call this guy. Matt came out to fix all of my kitchen drawers (try 18 full-sized drawers) after a painfully bad install by someone else a few years back. The work from the previous installer was out of warranty, so I had no recourse. I took a chance on Matt and am glad that I did. He spent the day in my kitchen making magic happen for the drawers (and getting along with my dogs, too). I know closets are his fav thing to do, but I couldn't tell because my kitchen drawers are functioning like never before.
