Tony spent a good amount of time trying to understand our requirements, and was able to provide us exactly what we were looking for, while coming up with some great ideas to keep it all within our budget. We used A&M to build and install three 10' long/2" thick shelves on "elfa" system's hanging standards hardware from the Container Store. Not only did he build a set of beautiful sturdy shelves, but also offered to pick the hardware for us from the Container store before the day of the installation so he could inspect and keep it all ready. Amazing workmanship, and flawless installation. A&M also built and installed five 72"H x 30"W x 15"D garage cabinets + a set of upper and lower cabinets - rows of three 30"W x 24"H x 12"D cabinets and drawers. Again, everything I mentioned in the paragraph above about the quality of work, willingness to come up with ideas to keep the project within budget, and installation process applies to this project as well. Highly recommended! Now on, Tony would be the only contractor we'd be turning to for any woodwork projects. Given his passion for details and aesthetics, Tony is in high demand by commercial projects, so depending on the size of your project, you might have to be flexible with the schedule when hiring A&M Cabinetry. In terms of pricing, he was on the lower end but not the lowest but considering the quality and customer service it's definitely fair pricing. I was about to move forward with the lowest quote I received but it became clear that responsiveness and customer service were not priorities and I felt very deflated. I cannot stress enough how much of a mistake it was to choose San Diego Custom Cabinets for our kitchen cabinets on an Encinitas project. The workmanship is absolutely appalling (bad). The cabinets started showing signs of wear and tear within just a year. Some panels (dishwasher) corroded and started peeling. The gaps between panels were uneven and unsightly at time of build but especially over time became worse, and to top it all off, the cabinets have actually changed color over time, going from a dark brown (walnut) to a tiger orange. It's obvious all materials were of the cheapest and lowest quality, but beyond that the company's response to these issues was to push back and simply state the warranty period had expired. I should add, it was not only the faces of the cabinets that failed miserably, but the boxes were poorly constructed, including cheap/failing hardware (like the trash pull out which constantly fails (hardware becomes loose and needs to be manually tightened monthly). At this point, we've had no choice but to demolish the entire cabinetry system. We have incurred massive costs (since prices have dramatically changed) and our clients are displaced during this demo period. I'm beyond disappointed with this purchase and this company and would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. As a company and brand, we will not be working with SD Custom Cabinets in the future. We will not be endorsing them. And if actual or prospective clients ask for our vote of confidence or recommendation, we will point them to this review.

Unfortunately, things began to fall apart shortly before finalizing my cabinet order. My final renderings were never properly completed. One entire room was missing from the plans, and major updates that were requested - including switching from frameless to framed cabinets (which affects cabinet sizing) - were never reflected in the drawings. It became very difficult to get in touch with anyone to finalize the order or receive updated plans. Eventually I went into the store in person, where Liad offered to "fix and finalize" everything on the spot. He manually drew out the new layout and entered the order on his phone, assuring us he was taking care of everything. However, no formal layout, purchase order, item list, cabinet sizes, or updated renderings were ever provided. I was told we could rely on the existing renderings and that getting formal updates from the designers would take too long. After paying, we heard nothing until my contractor informed me that cabinet boxes were being delivered. The delivery arrived without any paperwork, purchase order, or layout for my contractor and cabinet installer to reference. Once installation began, we discovered multiple issues: missing items, incorrect cabinet sizes, missing panels, and accessories that were the wrong size. Trying to resolve these problems was extremely frustrating. It was again difficult to reach Liad until we went back into the store. He repeatedly asked us to provide a list of what needed to be fixed, but that was difficult because we were never given a purchase order or layout showing what was actually ordered. What stood out most was the change in demeanor. Conversations that were initially helpful became defensive and dismissive. At one point he even questioned whether our installers "knew what they were doing," and suggested modifying cabinets to make incorrectly sized accessories fit instead of addressing the ordering mistakes. At this point I have had to purchase replacement panels, shelves, and accessories out of pocket from another cabinet store just to keep the project moving. Both my contractor and cabinet installer -- as well as staff at the other cabinet supplier -- were shocked by the experience and confirmed that this is not how a cabinet ordering process should work. My advice if you choose to work with this company is to triple-check everything and get all documentation in writing before paying. Make sure you receive final drawings, a purchase order, item numbers, and cabinet dimensions. It's unfortunate to have such a stressful experience during what should be an exciting part of a home remodel. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this business. There are many other cabinet suppliers that provide clearer communication and proper documentation.

He just completed installing 5 BEAUTIFUL window moldings for us and I couldn't be happier! Its important to point out that we had some major problems with 3 side by side windows that were not even. Rich worked long and hard to make the sizing problem invisible in his finish product. He even came to my house 4 times to make sure I was happy with the design insert that would hide the problem. I've included pictures of the windows mentioned above along with a close up of the design but the lightening is making the detail a bit hard to see. Take my word for it-its gorgeous! We have now employed Rich to do our baseboards for our entire downstairs so I will post another review once that is installed but I know they will look beautiful!

He took a sample of my floor ( so did his helper a week later) he said $500 then $700 Over 4 weeks was later still no shelf at 6 weeks the shelf was installed with paint speckled and smeared and bubbling unsealed laminate. It does not match the wood floor. I called him over 5 times he has not returned to fix it. He says that he will but never shows up.
