I was helped immediately. The young man laid out my kitchen based on the pictures and measurements I provided. Shortly after, he provided a cad type picture of my new kitchen and an estimate for 3 different scenarios. I was able to schedule an official estimate 2 days later. They were ready to deliver within 2 days of me giving the go ahead. Solid maple cabinets with popular shaker style style. Several different types of countertops. Everything happened on schedule. My kitchen turned out amazing. AND the BEST part is how much $$ I saved. I paid 50% less than my lowest bid. Highly recommended!! Don't judge a book by its cover. read more

Strongly caution against working with them. They want to be paid upfront and now I know why. Not only are they repeatedly not showing up when they are supposed to, the installation itself is abysmal. Maybe they are fine if you just buy the materials, but save yourself the headache and have actual professionals install it. Cabinets are shoddily put in, nothing aligns, and everything is crooked. David is impossible to get a hold of and doesn't respond to messages. His crews are MIA and not even David can get a hold of them. I had worst experience with Better Cabinet and Granite. You get what you pay for....... DO NOT be enticed by their prices. Their customer service and quality of product was HORRIBLE. They don't even stand by their return or cancellation policy. David our salesperson was initially nice and helpful until the order was placed by my contractor. I personally went to Better Cabinets and spoke with David to ensure the order was placed correctly. The order was 6 weeks late with very poor communication. The delivery was an absolute disaster. It's as if no care was taken in ensuring that the cabinets arrived in the condition, they were meant to be in. They were not wrapped and were covered by cardboard pieces. The delivery crew they sent were not equipped to handle the job. Multiple cabinets had broken legs. It wasn't a minor crack or a slight bend. They were outright broken. The exterior had scratches and chips. I'd understand if there were a small scratch due to transit, but this was on a whole different level. It looked like they had been dragged through gravel! David swore up and down they were brand new cabinets. EVERY cabinet had an issue. - The interior of the cabinets were not spared either. They had chips, which makes me question the quality of the materials used and the care taken during assembly. - As if the damage wasn't enough, several pieces were missing. The assembly quality was perhaps the most disappointing of all. For a product and service that one pays a significant amount for, I was expecting at least basic standards of workmanship. The boxes not only looked poorly put together, but upon having two other professional cabinet companies inspect them, the consensus was that they looked used! The worst of it was that David and Better Cabinets to no accountability for the situation. David was extremely disrespectful to me and my contractor offering no viable solutions. It's extremely disheartening to have invested time, money, and trust into a company, only to receive a product that feels like it has already weathered years of wear and tear. The name "Better Cabinets" now feels bitterly ironic. I genuinely hope that this feedback serves as a wake-up call for the company to make drastic improvements in their product quality and customer service. read more

This was my first kitchen remodel and I checked out a few other places before finding Better Cabinets and Granite. A friend told me about it and I stopped by on my lunch break and met Juan. He answered a lot of my questions and that same afternoon he came to my home to take measurements and gave me an estimate. It was the best estimate of four. I had to wait about a week for the cabinets to be installed and as soon as I went and paid they installed the next day. Better Cabinets and Granite does not present any fancy showrooms and fluff. Solid wood and beautifully functional. Edward customized it every step of the way, including quartz counter tops and a waterfall island. Very timely in delivery and professional installation. My husband and I shopped around 9 different places in San Diego, searching for quartz countertops for our kitchen. Of all the places we visited, Better Cabinets and Granite had the most reasonable price and a variety of selection of stones to choose from. Edward greeted us right away and asked us all the right questions to help us find what we were looking for. He was very patient, helpful, and attentive; he reviewed our kitchen layout and measurements in order to calculate how much pre-fab stone we need, and come up with creative suggestions to minimize waste and the number of seams. Edward gave us a quote right then and there for the amount of material we'll need for our kitchen. We ended up going with the calacatta quartz. While we were discussing with Edward, Juan (the project manager) happened to be at the store and also reviewed our kitchen blueprint. Juan ended up coming to our house that same day to give us a free quote. He was very honest, professional, and personable. Juan's labor cost was the most competitively priced compared to the 8 other places we went to. We ended up going back to buy the quartz from Edward that same day. And less than a week later, Juan's team was at our house to cut and install the countertop for our kitchen. I'll be honest - I'm pretty picky (and hard to please). Our kitchen looks beautiful and was a great value. There was a delay with shipping that pushed back our instal a few weeks. Normally I wouldn't give 5 stars with the delay however, I really liked Juan and his whole teams work. The demo guys were very clean and careful, which is rare. Our quartz counter is beautiful and the instal looks perfect. We had to change a cabinet to a larger size last minute to cover a crack on our floor. Juan changed the cabinet and added trim to cover the crack. Everything looks perfect and we are completely satisfied. We would highly recommend this business! read more

This company came recommended. I have NO idea why anybody would hire this company for even the smallest job. They were condescending, rude and quite confused by simple questions like, "what is your lead time after ordering cabinets." DO NOT BUY FROM or EVEN VISIT THIS PLACE!!!! They are cheaters. They first treat you nice and make you feel that they are the cheapest. They suggest you to get the measurements and get the kitchen designed so that they can optimize the cabinets.. that way you can save money. They ask you to pay 100$ which is non refundable if they come and take measurements. Then they postponed the visit to house two times and was no answer from them for few days when I need the job to be done ASAP. So I could not depend on these guys and went ahead with other vendor and got the job done. Now they say, the 100$ is not refundable though they did not provide the service. Terrible!!!! read more

I shopped around and invited five contractors to the house to get an estimate on the kitchen cabinets and quarts project. The estimates I received varied and the prices ranges from outrageously expensive down to the dirty cheap too good to be true. Juan came and measured my kitchen and gave me a really competitive estimate on the labor (not including material). Edward put together the plan and was in charge of the materials used for the project. We made a few changes to the plan and both gentlemen were patient and very accommodating to my requests. The final price of the project including the labor and materials was very competitive. Juan, Edward, and the installation team did an excellent job on my kitchen. They are highly recommended. Awesome place to get cabinets and granite what's most important about this place is that the service was awesome. Their prices are the lowest i could find and I looked in alot other places. The other places were knock offs and we're much higher priced and they were false advertising hooks. The cabinets I got were solid wood and soft closing doors these are the ones I got. Also I had their license contractor do the installation since I didn't want to deal with the hassle of getting someone unknown. I spoke to Edward when I came in. He has alot of knowledge on kitchen projects compared to other places I went to. I really felt good talking about what I wanted to do and having him confirm my ideas. I did some comparison shopping (Home Depot, Sears, others) before I settled on Better Cabinets to do my kitchen remodel. I couldn't believe the price they quoted; it was thousands less than the other estimates I received! So I was skeptical about the quality of the materials and the labor, but I was very pleased that both were top drawer (pardon the pun). Edward was patient with me and my choices, and Juan was VERY patient with me with my (annoying) attention to every detail of the install. They did the demo for me at a reasonable price, and they sent over specialists to install some of the things I purchased myself (range hood and sink). After the install, I still had some minor issues to resolve, and they were prompt and courteous in taking care of them (I had them make some custom cabinet modifications to accommodate a trash can, and had to install a new garbage disposal a week after the work was done!). They can't be beat on price, and their pride in their workmanship was evident. I didn't make it easy for them (I'm very picky), and they accommodated all my issues and questions. We have used this company before and the cabinets themselves were of good quality but we had a few delivery issues and decided to use them again. Because it was during the COVID lockdown we understood it might be difficult. We didn't expect how difficult it was. Communication between David and us was impossible as he didn't return calls, texts or keep us updated on the order. Since we were wearing masks and trying to stay an appropriate distance the order was taken quickly. We discussed things and ordered. We signed off and left. The delivery was to be made in a few weeks, understandedly. The delivery day came and went - no contact. Next day - coming soon, I'll let you know. Next day, coming this afternoon - no contact. Finally on the fourth try - we are on our way, but we had to leave. When we did receive the cabinets they were the wrong color. The order was not what we discussed but it seems I signed off when there so they 'nicely' redid the order. When this one was finally received it was the right color but wrong finish - After 6 weeks I just needed them. David had to come back to put on the handles a couple of days later with another cabinet I had ordered but he forgot to include in the order. As I said communication is not his forte. This time the cabinets were not up to par with the first time we ordered. Some glue is sloppily inside the cabinets where it shows, the doors didn't fit correctly, drawers didn't close correctly. David was able to get the doors and drawers fixed when he put on the handles. But the company is not where they were a couple of years ago. If you need things in a timely fashion - NOT HERE! Quality is okay, better than IKEA by far, but is it worth the money? Not sure. It is cheaper than many shops but the problems may not be worth it! read more

Buyer BewareI!!!! I give them a 1 star due to the following reasons.... Let's start with the order as it was wrong!!!! When I placed the order I wanted to go over the details with the rep and he insisted that was not needed. I made several attempts to confirm everything was correct but the rep glanced at his screen and dismissed my concerns and said it is good as if I were insulting him for my reassurance...I found that odd but trusted he knew what he was talking about. Lesson learned...next time I insist before payment. They charged me extra for shipping at the last minute when the cabinets were due in at that time as promised anyways, I found that odd...but complied. I was missing a cabinet, skins, shelf clips, shelves, these were ALL PAID IN FULL!!!! I paid for assembling and it was done haphazard, rushed , causing crooked and misaligned results. The hardware they installed was also misaligned causing doors to not close completely or properly and makes it crooked. A few drawers had NAILS coming UP through into the drawer itself....very sharp and hazardous. The set of drawers they assembled were not aligned and sat crooked. The box drawers were missing and had to make another run 1 1/2 hours away one way. One cabinet that was ordered and paid for with a drawer had only a door and no drawer. One upper was the wrong size. 3 of the lowers I order with double doors only had a single large drawer instead of 2 drawers so what I ordered and paid for was wrong. They did not provide my with enough toe kicks and again was paid for in FULL. I paid for support posts and did not receive those items ever. I paid in CASH!!! Ugh!!! When I brought these things to their attention I was ridiculed, spoken to abusively, and ignored. All because I am a woman. This is atrocious behavior and a very disappointing company. I had to pay out of pocket for their mistakes. They are a JOKE of a company and HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT as they are dishonest and crooked in their ways. They scammed me out of product, money, and good service ...they ended up costing me more money due to their negligence and dishonest ways. And having me purchase items I never needed or used...BIG FAT WASTE of hard earned money. There were other things but too tired to write them all down. Next time I would do research on the company. I brought in my measurements to get an estimate and it seemed like they didn't have too many options for customization with their cabinets, just the basics. I wasn't sure that would work for my small kitchen where I needed to maximize the cabinet space and decided to have them come out to do their own measurements to make sure we were working with the correct numbers. I agreed to pay their $100 fee for that service. Well, they never showed up for the appointment and never called to tell me they couldn't come or to reschedule.
