Cockroach in the shower.
Lindsay C.

Do not stay here. Very rude late night front desk attendant. The cherry on top was a cockroach in the shower - when there's one, there are usually a million more. Brought it to the attention of the staff and all they said was that they would let maintenance know. Yikes.

Apples in plastic and styrofoam and plastic.
Rhiannon M.

The hotel is convenient if you're needing access to the northern side of Seattle, though thanks to traffic most things are still a 20 minutes drive away. The parking lot seemed great but when we returned at 7pm we got the last spot in the immediate parking lot close to the hotel. The lady on reception was very nice - not overly chatty but efficient, helpful and friendly. Told us about 6pm cookies warm from the oven - loads left when we returned at 7 and she was nice about my kids taking seconds. The pool is small but functional and nice - not too cold, though no toilet pool side is a bit annoying. The room was clean, the toiletries helpful and the beds were comfortable- the appliances were a little noisy but it didn't bother me. So why 3 stars??? The waste - breakfast was a polystyrene, non-environmentally friendly nightmare. What wasn't polystyrene was plastic and there were no recycling facilities or composting facilities. The hotel is small enough they could use real plates and cutlery and install a dishwasher. It made me and my kids wince to use the stuff and to think of the waste going into landfill from this one hotel and all others like it. There was no need and for a hotel that encourages you to use towels thoughtfully, perhaps breakfast could be more thoughtful. The food was mediocre but really all enjoyment died because it was so grotesquely wasteful and damaging to the planets - understand that in this hotel even apples are wrapped in plastic!

The hotel is located in a quiet area where one does not hear any outside noises. The breakfast is included, but the beds were so comfortable we didn't get up in time to try it. There's also a Chevron station with a mini Mart right next door, so if you feel like snacks or drinks, they are there. What kept them from getting five stars is a bunch of small things like stains on the carpet on the stairs, small tv, and only one night stand between the two beds which makes it inconvenient. It was a very quiet in my room, as I didn't have any noise coming from nearby rooms or the freeway. The pricing wasn't bad, and they had an underground garage and parking in front of the hotel so I didn't have any issues finding a place to leave my ride, and I didn't have any concerns for the safety of my car. The bed was comfortable, and the room clean. It was a little hard to find the actual hotel even though it is right off the freeway. It's tucked just behind the Outback Steakhouse. There are also conveniently located restaurants nearby. An Outback, Bonefish Grill and a diner are all within walking distance. Now let's talk about that hallway carpet. They must have gotten a deal on it because it was horrific! I still can't decide if it looked like strips of bacon or a stream with gold in it which I should go panning for. Either way I was impressed by the sheer hideousness of it.

I feel like I have an apartment with a kitchen, not a hotel room. There is a dining area, multiple tvs, and the desk is large enough for me to work. So grateful. I also LOVE the access to the trail system directly from the hotel, this is so lovely! Strong WiFi in buildings 5-7! There is a lot of random weirdness about. There are random floods/leaks outside- there is one parking spot by my building that is always flooded so nobody parks there. There are also just random mud puddles and holes on the grounds, so I definitely wouldn't bring a kid here. The back lot is also kind of a sketchy gathering place- some stolen cars (recently found by police) and tons of cigarette and marijuana garbage all over. The cops have been here several times during my stay to find stolen cars and arrest people for the distribution of some pretty serious drugs. Avoid staying in buildings 8 or 9 and you should be clear of it. This hotel is VERY smoke friendly. To the point where I feel like they encourage it. The grounds usually smell of smoke and there are always smokers about, including some of the employees. They have smoking stations all over and every picnic table has been taken over by smokers. There are also cigarette butts littered all over the place. If I were staying for a week or so, I probably wouldn't have noticed any of this, but it has become part of the lore I have become apart of in my extended time here.

Had a great stay for almost a week! Clean suites, fresh…read moresheets and rooms, good size in room kitchen, great with family and pocket friendly. Will be back again.

As a hotel guest, I was gravely disappointed. There were no extra accommodations or amenities. There was not an easily accessible ice machine, you had to go into a restaurant flag down staff and have them fill up your ice bucket; but only available during business hours. Coffee and hot water were only available during a short time period in the morning, outside of that time period you had to go to a restaurant and purchase coffee or tea. The king sized bed room I stayed in had plenty of room to accommodate an in room coffee/ tea bar with hot kettle. On Friday and Saturday nights, be prepared to have non-hotel guests walking throughout the building in order to visit the hidden speakeasy "The Principals Office," which by the way would be a great spot for an ice machine and drinks or snacks for hotel guests. As a woman, staying in a room by myself, it was unnerving having the main doors open to any and all. Additionally, it was sad to see that the hotel market was filled more with knic knacks and McMenimens commercialized products rather than items a hotel guest would need. Would I stay at another McMenimens hotel? Only if it's convenient, sadly I would not go out of my way. The grounds and gardens are beautiful at this location and it is a great stop for wandering around or bar hopping.

I expected the food to be just ok but the rooms are seriously gross af and hard to sleep in. Please do better. I'm pretty sure your employees are getting paid but this sucks. Coming into a room with hair balls in the bathroom is not ok. How do you not see that if you are cleaning ? Why am I coming into a room with used toilet paper ? This should be addressed with staff. It is unsanitary and not comfortable for guests. If you are going to pay people to keep up with your rooms the least they can do is vacuum. The last 4 weeks here has made me feel filthy my skin is gross and the only sanitary place is covered in hair that is clearly 1 ft longer than mine. Fix your staff.

We had to keep adjusting the air conditioning during the night but that was okay because I was so comfortable. I can't wait to come back and enjoy the outdoor pool-it is huge. When I looked out my second story window I thought I was at a fancy resort hotel. The receptionist was professional and friendly. We skipped breakfast because we were sleeping in like babies. The shower and bath area were in great shape but the water pressure was very No place to hang washcloth in the shower enclosure. The remote control for the TV didn't have any description of the shows that were listed. Room 213 is quite a long walk to the reception area but at least we were able to take the elevator and exit one of the doors to the parking lot where our car was parked. One of the reasons we slept so well is because it is so quiet around this hotel. It isn't right off the highway or near a lot of traffic. Right across the street is a Chevron station / mini mart. The carpeting in most areas is dated and there are some stains and tears. There was only one night stand that was placed between both beds. The towels in the bathroom were large, bright white, and fresh! The regular checkout time for this hotel is noon. We enjoyed two complementary water bottles and cookies while checking in.

The folks who work here are wonderful - Benji is so very helpful and welcoming, Brooke is warm and friendly, and Katie is also kind and helpful! (The other folks I have met are pleasant, also!) I have lived here for 7 1/2+ years. Sometimes it has been good and other times not. I have met some…read morereally nice and not-so-nice people while living here. I started out moving here temporarily, but now this is my home. I was injured in an elevator accident in May of 2024 due to their choice of elevator maintenance companies, and things have gone downhill since. I had to have rotator cuff surgery on my left arm, and while I still can't work and could press to have surgery on both hands, I want to settle that claim when my PT is done. It is a serious, long-term recovery injury. But that's just background for my current review. I was again injured on Thanksgiving night, 11/27/25, and they won't file an injury claim with their insurance company. That's all they need to do. It is very simple IF they are in compliance with LI, their insurance company, and other regulations. It has been more than 60 days and they refuse to act. I have to have the same surgery on my right shoulder now. Their elevators are dangerous; they pulled off their L&I certificate the day after I reported the second injury and won't tell me who now maintains their elevators. I have been calling L&I, and they may not even have a valid license for these elevators. Oh, they have 2, but one never worked, and the other one keeps going out. In my opinion (and physical evidence) this hotel is becoming more dangerous. I am trying to get out, but can't afford it as I am paying all my medical expenses out of pocket before I can settle with the first claim. I would avoid booking a room here until their elevator situation is fully corrected. They spent a lot of money (lipstick on a pig) repainting this hotel and doing other repairs to make it look good for the Summer soccer games in 2026. But they are not replacing the nonfunctioning elevator or getting the one that keeps causing problems fixed in time to prevent further endangering my health and safety during the upcoming games or in the meantime. They laid new white floors but wouldn't force the contractors to remove the stains from them. So it looks like shit stains on the floors. Then, when I said something, they blamed it on the guests not walking on paper, even though they never supplied paper for guests to walk on and had the floors open so we could access the trash rooms while the renovations were going on. When the renovations were done, I got info from the contractor on the products used to remove them from my room and sent an email about it all the way up to the general manager with photos, but the stains are on every floor, and even in the front lobby. Nothing. I have supplied them with photos and included them in this review. I think that speaks to their focus on booking fees and not guest safety. I would especially warn those of you who are elderly, have back or hip injuries, or other frailties to book elsewhere. I came in with a minor back injury, and after 7 1/2 years, I can't work for the last two years, I walk with a cane, plus have had multiple steroid injections to keep from major pain, plus now the elevator injuries. I hope I make it out alive. I am stuck and on SS until they settle my first claim or I'd be gone already. Stay away.

Aside from maybe the clean carpet, bigger TV, and some light fixtures, I actually liked most things about the older room more. It's like Hilton poured a ton of money into updating the place with cheaper stuff. Older bed was more comfortable, older shower with a door was way better than new shower with a Walmart curtain rod and too short curtain, older AC/heater worked better, older fridge was better, older desk/chair was better, older couch was more comfortable, older TV had better sound. The staff was always really nice except for one person but I think he may have been disabled so gotta give him a break. Parking fees here are killer. Small laundry room given the size of the hotel, plus there were always machines broken. Big gym with decent equipment. Thin walls, you could hear most of what neighbors were saying but muffled. Being on the top floor at least saved hearing footsteps overhead, but the construction in the building would still rattle the walls. Pet friendly for a fee, they were nice enough to discount some fees after I got wrongly charged twice when switching rooms. The dog poop bags were out for almost a month but eventually got restocked. Hardly any grass around the building but a little bit along the busy street. Close to tons of shops, restaurants, groceries, etc. and the freeways. The breakfast options were nothing special but I've had worse. Housekeeping available every couple days or upon request, but they weren't very good about coming at the requested times. Overall the stay was fine despite the gripes. At least I earned a crap ton of Hilton points. Too bad the renovation set things backwards.
