The staff (aside from two front desk workers) were all incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast lady was amazing - constantly working to keep things filled, hot, and cleaned. She greeted with a warm smile and greeting each day and after 4 nights there, we had a bit of a relationship even despite her not knowing much English. We loved her and she made our stay so wonderful! The housekeepers were also excellent! They kept the room CLEAN and did an amazing job - we didn't expect daily room service but they provided it and did a great job! We were slow to leave a couple of mornings from the hotel and I simply asked that they clean later in the day - we'd return later to an amazingly cleaned and refreshed room! The front desk lady seemed bothered to be bothered when we asked for extra pillows and towels (as they fill the room for 4 guests, but we had 6 with 2 staying on the pull out couch. When I asked when we could get the items (as we had gotten there later in the evening and were trying to settle the kids down for bed), she simply replied, "I'll bring them to you later." So we were left waiting for whenever "later" was in order to go to bed. The room was dated and gross (we had a large STICKY area on the carpet right in the middle of the walkway), but the cleaners did amazing with what they could do. The rooms all need updating. The fold out couch was super uncomfortable and thin, there were janky patch jobs all over, carpet worn thin, etc. I'd stay here again for the cleaners and breakfast lady and the cost of it, but no other reason. read more

6/13-6/15 I stayed here for a couple of nights. My room was clean, the bed had no bed bugs and the amenities were provided as usual. The office staff are very friendly and accommodating, and helped me out during my stay, as I was awaiting my rental so had to stay put for a couple night unexpected. But overall, great service by all. Jessie helped me check in my first night and was super helpful, and so was the manager. Sorry can't remember everyone's names. Due to COVID-19 not many other amenities were allowed like the gym or breakfast rooms. But the fact that the hotel offered some type of substitute for the food option was admirable. I agree with the comment that Karens run this hotel. One morning we went downstairs for the breakfast and wanted to use the restroom in the lobby but ran out of tissue. I asked the receptionist and she gave us a hard time. She said the restroom was only for employees even though it was at the lobby and it had a big restroom sign. At first she said we had to wait for the housekeeper. But after a while she gave in and apparently the storage room to get the tissue was just right behind her! Such a Karen! Hotel was old and run down. Stains in curtain and bath tub. Gross. Popcorn ceiling all over like we were in the 50s. The shower drain is very slow making it even more gross. We stayed here four nights this past week and overall it was a great choice. The location was in between the eastside, Seattle and North end where we were visiting friends & family. It was clean, comfortable and the front desk staff were very friendly & helpful. Due to Covid, they're only offering cold breakfast options which was a bummer but nothing can be done about that. I could still get a piece of fruit, granola bar and yogurt so that was fine. In a normal world, we would have had the option of a hot breakfast with all the fixings. They have ice cold water in the gym and ice machines on each floor which was nice to use each morning on our way out. The only issue we had were the keys to our room. They worked 1/10 time, if that. We exchanged them twice and that didn't seem to help so that needs to be addressed. This location is close to a QFC 24/7 grocery, drug store and multiple restaurants. There was never an issue with parking and the "business center" was useful although the internet was quite slow. Overall, it was a good place to stay for our needs. read more

It's bad enough we arrive yesterday to a room on the 3rd floor with a broken elevator and the desk staff indifferent to a 66 yr. male and older wife having to deal with hauling luggage. But this evening we return to the room and the keys don't work. Up and down the stairs we go. We correct the issue and enter the room and the toilet is running constantly and won't flush. Down the stairs again. My wife addresses this issue to the front desk. Who says she can't change our room but she'll try and get maintenance but they can't deal with it till morning. Needless to say my wife is extremely upset and demands I fix this situation. Now I'm upset and I go down the stairs and demand the clerk to contact the 'fucking' manager. Her response was to tell us to get out of the hotel, repeatedly. Then threatened to call the police. I demanded to talk to management and she gave me a card and to call the number on the card which rang the front desk. Then said to email the manager. Another customer volunteered to look at toilet. The man Ralph and I were able to jury rig the toilet but he recommend the insides of the toilet be changed. The tank cover was left off to ensure the flapper valve closed properly and be re rigged if the paper clip came loose. And one final comment. The coffee is horrible. read more

When I called the front desk I was told I'd have to wait till next day since they can't leave the front desk. Was charged twice for the room. They still denied it after showing them proof from my bank. Leticia texted me after I was charged twice and said she needed my credit card info via text message. After calling her, she said my reservation would be canceled if I did not give her, personally, my cc info. I said no way. Upon arriving at the hotel, they tried to charge my cc a THIRD time before showing them I had already paid. Super shady business actions here. Staff was rude, unhelpful and miserable despite showing proof I was in the right. I have contacted the corporate office and filed a report with the police as I STILL have not been refunded the additional charge and the incidental deposit. Avoid these thieves. First of all, the staff were some of the friendliest people we have ever met. You can tell that they enjoy their job and working together. It made me joyful to see them and added to that, they greeted us coming and leaving the hotel. They are an invaluable asset to this company. Second, the room. It was smaller than I was used to but perfect for our needs. The separate freezer with fridge was a plus as we had packed lunches with lots of frozen ice packs that needed to be refrozen. Those little sectional freezers would have never worked in our situation. Thank you for providing these for your guests. We got the room with two queen size beds. They were very comfortable with enough pillows for our needs. The lamps in the room worked. The plugs in some of them on the table and nightstand are just worn out and need to be replaced. They worked for us after a bit of adjusting. Noise level: average opening and closing of doors. We stayed on the second floor. There are 3 total. Nothing out of the ordinary except for the constant "is that someone vacuuming" on the second floor end of hallway storage room. The noise in the hallway couldn't be heard in our room. They also have a laundry. Full washer and dryer with folding table and hanging rack for clothes. These folks also have a brand spanking new fitness room. Walking in I could smell the new plastic from the machines. Make sure you use you room key to get in the door. Last of all, Breakfast and snacks: It's a full hot cooked breakfast. Cooked to order waffle-makers, biscuits with gravy, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, variety of dry cereals, yogurts, and fruits. OJ and coffee readily available too. Huge tv screen for entertainment while eating. Glad the volume isn't turned up so loud so normal conversations can continue. Bonus: they make chocolate chip cookies in the evening. Going to dinner from the elevator you can smell them from the 2nd floor! Outstanding! I thought only the Doubletree chain did that. I was pleasantly corrected. The ladies at the front desk as we were leaving said,"We'll save you guys some!" When we got back, they had. THIS is the Chick-Fil-A type of service that brings people back! I recently spent three weeks staying at this fine hotel. The front desk staff are friendly and very helpful - and demonstrated a remarkable degree of attention to detail to make me feel like they were doing everything they could to keep guests safe from the threat of COVID-19. The room I stayed in was luxurious. The mid-size refrigerator was PERFECT for a multi-week stay - and the freezer was large enough for me to keep several items in there. The in-room microwave was also excellent - and allowed me to cook many meals - saving a significant amount on my travel expenses. This hotel is situated near a 4-way intersection - and there are many, many shops and services available within a convenient short walk from the hotel (QFC, Starbucks, two pharmacies, gas station, Arby's, etc.). This hotel's location feels like a very safe area - and was very convenient for me when I need to make trips to the North end of Seattle - or down to Bellevue. Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel with a large group. Our mix of parents and kids took over about half of the hotel for a local sporting event. Positives were pleasant staff and a good location. Very close to I-405 and next to a shopping center with a grocery store and restaurants. Very convenient for those little purchases, team meals, etc. We just had to move our meetings to the parking lot since the breakfast room is tiny and there aren't other meeting spaces. Rooms were clean and of average size. Since our group had four kids sharing a room, conditions were crowded. This is in comparison to our more recent stay at the Marriott Residence Inn just down the road. We were surprised to read such bad reviews for this place. We accidentally booked IT instead of the Holiday Inn Express right next to it (which we have had great luck with in the past.) We nervously followed-through with our two-day reservation, keeping in mind we rarely have good luck with hotel rooms. Surprisingly, over-looking the age of the place, we were pleasantly surprised. Cons: 1) Definitely a little older and a bit 'rough around the edges' when it comes to the condition of the rooms and hallways. It looks like they are in the works of remedying this, as there is some definite construction going on (keep this in mind when booking this month!) I certainly didn't notice 'filth' like other reviews mentioned. 2) Construction WAS going on, but we didn't really notice it until late into our weekday stay. Even then, it was relatively quiet until 10am-ish. 3) Our room must have been close to the boiler room or something. We had to keep the AC on all night just to get a temperate room that was comfortable. Just hate to waste the energy! 4) 2nd floor was a little noisier than expected with guests above us. Pros: 1) We experienced super friendly staff up front. The breakfast attendant was a grumpy-b*tt, but other than that, no probs here. 2) Our room was actually quite nice. It was a suite on the 2nd floor and it was in immaculate shape, considering the rooms were a little dated. Super clean and roomy. 3) Overall: no complaints. It certainly didn't 'wow' me, but it was a better experience than I expected for a chain hotel that's been around for a bit! 4) A lot of people will book this hotel for its convenient location in the north puget sound and the 405. That has to be noted as it was also nice to be so close to major food chains and grocery stores. Everything you need is literally within the shared parking lot. All-in-all, great stay. Kudos! I usually don't rate hotels but this place was very convenient and great for our 4 kids during Spring Break vacation. Don't get me wrong...this was no 5 star classy hotel but still very good for us. We have 4 kids and it's rare to have a suite that offers two queens and a sofabed that fits 6 comfortably. It was decently rated as well that offers complimentary breakfast for all of us, indoor pool/spa and coffee/cookies any time of the stay by the front desk. They also offer free wifi. We arrived late and we were greeted real well by the guy at the front desk. He answered all my questions about the hotel as well as the surrounding areas. They were doing some remodeling which shows me that they are going with the times and have money to do it. The location of the hotel was next to many restaurants, gas station and Albertson's for supplies. The rooms were well decorated and offers iron/board, hair dryer, coffee maker, refrig, microwave and lots of lighting. I could only see that the wall paper in the bathroom was starting to peel at the bottom but its because there is no vent in the bathroom. The bathroom was kind of small, too. What was weird was this time of year it is below 50 degrees outside (April) but in our room it was warm so we had the AC on low most of time; not sure if it was because there were 6 of us. The beds were high and sheets were soft. The sofabed was not firm but I don't think they ever are. I didn't see any bed bugs to worry about. The TV and cabinets were not new but we never use those anyway. We keep our clothes in our suitcases. The indoor pool was luke warm but still cold to us. The spa/pool were clean and not many used it during our 2 night stay which was great for us! This at last keeps the kids occupied during the cold winter vacations. The complimentary breakfast was great and was always refilled when it started to get empty. They had a waffle maker that you can do yourself. They offered blueberry and regular waffles, they had different cereals, bread, fruits, different eggs, bacon/sausage and pastries/ donuts, coffee and juices and much more. I think the only complaint from my kids was there was no hot cocoa. I would recommend anyone to stay here with a large family. It is only 20 minutes away from Seattle and right off the freeway. read more

Only flaw was that the AC unit could have used a bit more in the way of fan velocity to get the air to the other end of the room more quickly. Hot tub/pool was very nice for this style of hotel. Really liked the fact that the pool was open until midnight with a no kids restriction after 10PM. It's really hard to relax in a hot tub with half a dozen grade schoolers jumping in and out. This was much nicer. Hot breakfast was above average for this class of hotel. Had two types of waffle irons and a flavored batter in addition to the standard plain one. Also had hot eggs and sausage. "Karens" runs the hotel so prepare to walk on eggshells and beware of upsetting the wackadoodles. Bad maintenance is wasting the earth's water and energy resources. Lamps, clocks, and the card key to enter the rooms are so old they barely work. Most of the electrical sockets won't work when you plug anything into the wall. The lamp between the beds won't work because the wall outlet does not connect when you plug in the cord. The rooms smell moldy and are carelessly cleaned. The HVAC unit is loud even with only the fan on. The towels are old and gross with a scratchy feel. Water pressure is so low we wasted more water trying to get the soap off than a normal shower head would rise you off in seconds. The wallpaper in the bathroom is falling off the wall and there is mold visible. The toilet seat is flimsy and moves when you sit on it and I'm only 170 lbs. The toilet paper is terrible and likes sandpaper. The sink would not drain for quite a few minutes so we needed to rinse the sink a few times and while it out to keep it from being gross wasting water. The iron kept shutting off and the cord is twisted so badly it is troublesome. The breakfast bar is all cheap processed food. The eggs are weird like they aren't real, sausage gross, OJ watery from a gas station-style dispenser. The waffle batter is a bag from a dispenser as well. We were also harassed about a Uber rental scooter left at the front door by another guest. We had our own privately owned scooter of a different color but the employees didn't care and spoke to us like we were belligerent when we said it wasn't ours. When we walked in after the scooter call "Karen 2" reprimanded us about the scooter again after telling them it was not ours and angrily told us the employees knew it was ours, it was on surveillance but they don't care whatever their dream up is the delusion you'll be living in. During check-in they didn't complete the paperwork and "Karen 2" demanded with angry facial expressions to stop while walking in to sign more documents they forgot during check-in. Security sucks here too, the parking lot is poorly lit and the door is open 24/7. Vending machines are priced very high. The Hampton Inn Suites we found was $10 more and the sweetheart at the front desk upgraded us to a suite when we told them about our experience with the "Karens". We are thrilled with Hampton Inn Suites and hope you have this joy while avoiding this Comfort Inn. read more

They did bring me another chair, though that worked. 2. The AC unit was noisy with some strange fan sound that was hard to get used to. 3. I don't often write reviews but I had to for this Comfort Inn location where I've been staying for the past three days. Not only did we get a great rate (I believe $109/night) but we were offered an upgrade on check-in because we were staying for a little longer than usual. The main reason I wanted to leave a positive review however is the staff. I don't know that I've encountered a more helpful, friendly staff at even the nicest five-star hotels. It's remarkably apparent that the employees are very well-led. I wish I could remember names but I don't. Every person, from the check-in counter to the girl at the continental breakfast to housekeeping was constantly going out of her way to help with even little things, like carrying my food, searching for and finding hot chocolate when they overheard someone saying it would be a nice breakfast addition. It's very apparent that these people care a lot. The hotel isn't all that new, but it's clean and the staff make up for the age. read more

This hotel is a franchise and our experience was awful. The owner also works the front desk and was not helpful or accommodating when we ran into a glitch with the corporate credit card we were using. The corporate office called and explained that the card data was updated last week due to a lost card. Well we got there and the card declined as they had the original expiration date from a previous card. So she had us leaving early from our stay and they slid the paid in full invoice under our door for the two nights we stayed. But told us that morning we needed to check out. I had to drop my husband off at the office as I tagged along on this trip and had to pack us up and clean out the fridge, drive the food over to his office so I wouldn't lose any of the food we had bought. The owner had no sympathy and said right out loud in the lobby that our card had declined to try and embarrass me. And I just got out of there. Later I found out the corporate office tried to give her the updated card info and she just couldn't help them and said "I have to make money". Yeah we get it...we want to pay her but sheesh so infuriating. And she got another room paid for without anyone in it!! Well after all the attempts to correct the card problem and trying to give them the new card info she just could not help us. And the corporation had another paid for room that an employee wasn't going to be using and she still wouldn't move us into that room for the night! And she pocketed the money!! Unreal! We were able to get another hotel 30 minutes South of Bothell. No problems. Needless to say, this owner does not realize our fortune 100 company will never use her hotel again. The hotel is decently priced and well maintained as far as I could see. There was construction but I neither saw it nor heard it, so I can only assume it's not much of a problem. They told us there were renovations on the pool, fitness center and breakfast room, so only breakfast was available, which is a minus, but we could live without ipool and fitness for three days. A longer stay it would have been an issue for us. We stayed Sunday, then had to return for a Monday to Wednesday stay due to renovation in our nearby home. The staff were all very pleasant at the desk. The breakfast staff neither spoke nor responded to greetings so I'm chalking that up to being very busy keeping the hot breakfast buffet fully supplied, which they did. The ONLY complaint I have about anything is in fact the breakfast. For the love of God please someone teach the staff how to cook the bagged eggs which is standard hotel breakfast fare. It's not meant to be boiled to death until you have something with the consistency of 3 day old Spackle. It's supposed to still be moist and flavorful, not hard little shards chopped off of Humpty Dumpty's rear-end. Please people, it's not that hard. Read the packaging and adjust accordingly. Soft, fluffy and moist is the goal. Three days we tried them and had to toss into the trash. A complete loss. Everything else, the ready made waffles, the donuts and breads, the great selection of yogurts, cereals and juices were great. We had the king studio which was a good size. The room was very clean and the fridge/microwave was a plus. The toilet is far too low for someone like me with arthritis so next renovation, you might consider replacing them for a more standard height model. Overall, I do recommend staying here. There is a shopping strip mall walking distance with everything you need nearby, grocers, restaurants, banks and Baskin Robbins. Public transportation is right at the corner and it's one block from the main freeway so you can get wherever you need to in the Seattle area. read more

On our short stay I did not get a chance to visit the pool or experience the hot breakfast, but those are definite positives. After a long day of traveling and a shitty couple hours dealing with sold out rental car places, I would like to thank Bri Lopez at the front desk for being so energetic, nice, efficient, and accommodating during our check in process. My husband and I booked a room here for 3 nights in December though Booking.com, and we showed up to find that there was an error with the booking and 2 rooms had been reserved. Yeah... well we wanted one and this was not our fault, and common sense would dictate that we shouldn't have to pay for 2 rooms. The 18-year-old looking front desk girl said she couldn't help us, and furthermore that she was going to charge us for 1 night on the other room we didn't need plus a cancellation fee for the other nights. Ridiculous. We were told to talk to the manager of hotel (this by Booking.com, who said that the issue was "out of their hands" -- we won't be using that service anymore either). We followed up with the manager the next day, and he seemed totally not to care and tried to blame the issue on either us or Booking.com. Unprofessional and a waste of time. Suffice it to say, the charges we received for this extra room were disputed with our credit card company and we did not end up having to pay for THEIR ERROR. In a world of possibilities, don't stay at this hotel. The rooms are generic, the food was pretty gross, but what counts is their complete lack of customer service. Stay Elsewhere! This hotel has seen better days. My room smelled like mold. The carpet are couch are filthy. The Leather on the Office Chair is ripped. They are doing some remodeling (much needed). It's dusty from the remodeling and a mess everywhere. I couldn't even get off the elevator on the 2nd floor with my stuff because the hallway was blocked with tools and ladders. Stayed here for four days and three nights while visiting Seattle! The front desk was always very helpful and nice and they gave each of us a bottle of water when we checked in. Free coffee in the lobby all the time, great tv sets and dvd players, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, and in a great location (right next to a 24 hour grocery store and various restaurants) only about thirty minutes away from Seattle, and has plenty of parking. My girlfriend and I stayed overnight here while in town for a wedding and I have to say this was probably the worst hotel experience I personally have ever had. When we arrived there was a woman ahead of us who had checked in and was given a room, but when she went up to settle in, apparently, someone else's stuff was already there and the room had not been cleaned. So, we go to get our assigned room, haul our luggage up to the third floor only to find , that a.) the room had not yet been cleaned, and b.) we were given a smoking room even though we did not ask for one. We then had to go back down to the lobby with all our luggage in tow, wait for the clerk to finish checking in the people he was currently waiting on before we could address our problem. After an hour of waiting for the clerk to get done with the folks ahead of us and then figuring out how to put us in another room, we finally were able to check into our room. As we were leaving the hotel 1 1/2 hours later the poor woman who was there when we arrived was still standing at the front desk waiting to get her room. I will say the room was very clean when we did get a room and everything else was fine, but the initial experience has soured me from ever staying at another Comfort Inn. Maybe your experience will be better than ours, but if I were you, I would stay somewhere else. read more

I would have given this hotel a decent review....room was very small, doors were very loud so you hear everyone around you closing bathroom and front doors, it reeks of chlorine when you enter the building, but the front desk people were outstanding, the breakfast was incredible (other than the fact you can't take it back to your room...which is ridiculous especially since it gets so crowded), and over all the hotel was VERY clean, easy access location, etc. Here's where they lost their review with me.... We had a noon check out. Housecleaning was knocking on the door at 10 to clean my room. I hurried to grab my things and leave...about 2 hours later, I realize I left some important papers and my journal in the nightstand next to the bed. I call and was told they would check. When I showed up to retrieve my items, I was told they were never found. I can guarantee that housekeeping probably just thru it away when they were cleaning. I was furious and disappointed that they wouldn't hold ANYTHING found in a room for at least 12-24 hours before throwing it away. Wow, where to start. Have stayed here on average 3 nights a week since January. After bouncing around all the different rooms I came to the conclusion that you will not be able to have a room where all the amenities of modern day living (water pressure in shower, a sink that drains under 30 sec, exhaust fan in bathroom that actually vents to the exterior versus just recirculating the moist shower steam, toilets that flush, fridge that adjusts properly and does not freeze food, no mold in fridge, etc.) exist. Although the women behind the desk were always friendly, the manager is an ignorant moron. The company I'm employed with has been staying here since September. The other week something came up and we had to head back home so we went back to the hotel around 1:00 and asked if we could have a late checkout so we wouldn't be charged for another night and the gentleman at the front desk said that it's too late and he would have to have the room service cleaners come back that day to clean the room as they had left for the day. Needless to say, after buying almost 200 nights in the hotel since September the manager would not refund us for that night. We are enjoying our stay at Holiday Inn now. read more

I was a consistent customer about every two months in the last two years. I made a reservation and for the first time, I had to cancel with less than 24 hour notice. This establishment stuck to policy and would not satisfy the customer, stating the system would not allow the reservation to be cancelled. I spoke with the manager the next day and he said that he would not conduct the refund but that he would provide a voucher for a future stay. I was ok with that as he stated that he would make things right. Needless to say, he did not. I did not get a voucher and they were happy with keeping their 100 dollars. Fine with me, I will never use this establishment again and I have found a new place that treats their customer as that, a customer, and not just another room rate filled like Comfort Inn Bothell treats their customers. read more
