Lots of picnic tables and benches clustered for a group get together. I often walk my dog here. The circumference of the park is not very big at all, but on hot days, it's just enough for my pet to stretch his legs a bit. There are trashcans on both sides of the park. There is also a dual water fountain for humans and pets.

We have gone to this park several times now and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit because there's something new to explore each time. There are walking trails, a beautiful patio overlooking a pond, grass to play games and sit, water fountains to play in, etc. I'd definitely recommend anyone to check out who is in the area.

And while that makes the park a very good one for the games it makes it a little difficult to navigate to a specific game because you have to walk through and around several other games to get to a particular game. Because there are so many games going on at the same time it also makes it very difficult to find the particular game you are looking for. But overall I think kids soccer is a great thing and I love that the city of Garland has dedicated this amount of space to the kids playing soccer.

This little gem of a park has the volunteers and money plus LOTS of people actually using it. This park was absolutely filled with all kinds of groups of people using it. Tons of kids having fun with organized sports and with families. Everyone I saw were smiling and interacting with others. This park even has a small snack bar! The parking was readily available and lots of adult supervision.

The shallow end has a beach-type entrance that gradually slopes into the water. What drew me here was Dog Splash Day. Neighborhood pools in Richardson are open limited hours in the blazing hot summer when kids are out from school. Pools shutdown nearly a month before Labor Day because kids are already back in school. However the real fun happens on the last day of the season when they open the pool up to humans and dogs. The dogs had a blast swimming, jumping, and peeing in the pool. It was about 109 degrees on this particular summer day in August. There was very little shade, so what little they had, everyone was congregated under it. The people running the event took more cash than was advertised to get inside. City of Richardson said $6, but the gate entrance told me $7. The City of Richardson advertisement online said this was a fundraiser for the shelter, but Richardson Shelter staff on site did not acknowledge this. They said they were there to break up dog fights. Someone was kind enough to give me a pupcup which I used to lure my dog to the water. He got his paws wet, but didn't venture any closer. On his own volition, he did head over to the water to cool off, but upon it touching his belly hair, he immediately ran back to shore. Fun event! Glad I went. Will try again next year to get my dog into the water. Hopefully it won't be as hot.

This is your basic Dallas park and is split in 3 sections that span about a mile in length. First…read moresection is closest to 635 and has 2 soccer fields. The second section is about a quarter mile south of the first and it has a single soccer field that is surrounded by trees on 3 sides and is pretty nice. The third section is about a half mile south of that and is really just a green area that is located next to Medical City. The White Rock Creek and Lake Trail runs through all three sections of the park and stretches to White Rock Lake. The Anderson Bonner section of path is well maintained. There is one porta-potty in the section 1 parking lot, there is one drinking fountain in the section 2 parking lot.

The City of Murphy Parks & Recreation knows how to do Parks right! North Hill Park is Exhibit A in…read moreproving my point. This 12 acre park built in 2009 & 2010 sits adjacent to the Rodeo Drive Water Tower and The Gables / The Ranch Subdivision HOA Swimming Pool. It has a huge pavilion with ten (10) picnic tables (I think it is the largest of any of the City of Murphy Parks but don't quote me on that) in addition to several individual picnic table sites. There is a full basketball court (usually in use), a soccer field and lots of open space for playing with family, friends and dogs. The sand volleyball court beckons the young and energetic. Lots of much appreciated park benches scattered throughout the park. Mix in a backstop, 2 shaded playgrounds (a must for dealing with the Texas Summer Sun), drinking fountain, swings and a 1/2 mile concrete walking trail and you have one awesome park. Well landscaped and maintained. In short, a must and frequent stop for the local neighborhood, visitors and especially for dog walkers/pet sitters like myself. This park is perfect for fur baby memory making and pet photography. P.S. For all pet owners visiting the park don't forget to pick up after your fur babies or be prepared to pay a hefty fine for violation of the City of Murphy Pet Waste Ordinance.
