To my surprise this establishment is cash only! I was ready to turn around with my 8 year old son and find a nearby atm, however the nice young lady at the front desk named Chelsea was kind enough to admit us in complimentary. Her small kind gesture is what I knew will bring us back summer after summer. The pool was clean, they had music playing and they allow you to bring in outside food and drink. 10/10 recommend, make sure to bring sandals because the pavement gets really hot! We had a wonderful afternoon, can't wait to come back!

I…read morevisited on a crisp winter day with my wife and son, and we enjoyed the walking trails through a busy disc golf course and around a large pond. Then, we visited the recently renovated children's playground that has a large playground structure, swings, a zipline, and a warped wall. There are also at least two bathrooms located throughout the park- always a plus. Oh, and there's also two dog parks and a swimming pool, plus ample parking. If you're looking for a fun place to take your kid or go for a walk or run, this is a great spot. It gets quite crowded in the summer, but hey, it's popular for a reason.

This 12 acre park built in 2009 & 2010 sits adjacent to the Rodeo Drive Water Tower and The Gables / The Ranch Subdivision HOA Swimming Pool. It has a huge pavilion with ten (10) picnic tables (I think it is the largest of any of the City of Murphy Parks but don't quote me on that) in addition to several individual picnic table sites. There is a full basketball court (usually in use), a soccer field and lots of open space for playing with family, friends and dogs. The sand volleyball court beckons the young and energetic. Lots of much appreciated park benches scattered throughout the park. Mix in a backstop, 2 shaded playgrounds (a must for dealing with the Texas Summer Sun), drinking fountain, swings and a 1/2 mile concrete walking trail and you have one awesome park. Well landscaped and maintained. In short, a must and frequent stop for the local neighborhood, visitors and especially for dog walkers/pet sitters like myself. This park is perfect for fur baby memory making and pet photography. P.S. For all pet owners visiting the park don't forget to pick up after your fur babies or be prepared to pay a hefty fine for violation of the City of Murphy Pet Waste Ordinance.

In short, it is a great neighborhood park in the 75094 zip code area. It was updated and improved in 2010. The park has a brick gazebo pavilion with four 8-foot long picnic tables, a large BBQ grill and electric outlets. Be sure to check out the shaded playground area, sandy volleyball court, drinking water fountain, 31 trees, basketball court and lots of benches scattered around and one picnic table by the volleyball court. For dog walkers like myself, bikers, joggers and fur baby owners there is a 0.2 mile cement trail loop for lots of fun and exercise. Thinking about moving to the Aviary Subdivision in Murphy, Texas? Then be sure to check out your local Aviary Neighborhood Park to seal the deal. What a nice five acre neighborhood park.

Nice park. We wanted…read moreto enjoy the early evening weather and take a stroll. We stopped by Debusk Park since they have a nice walking/jogging path. The trail runs all the way around the park. Most of it is cement, but there are sections of it that are bridges made out of wood, so watch your step. It helps break up the monotony of running on you average sidewalk. The path goes up and down some nice hills, through heavily wooded areas, and right along the side of some residential streets. There is a opening where you run next to and cross over a creek, so I can imagine that the mosquito population here can be pretty heavy. Be careful and wear some DEET. Probably the crown jewel of this park (for some people, not for me), is this huge play ground. When I say huge, I mean HUGE!!! It's a pretty massive structure of wooden beams and planks to climb and play on. The path cuts right by it, so if you take it the whole 1.44 miles around, you'll pass by it! Cool place if you want a change of scenery and a nice trail to walk. If you're close by, take a walk and enjoy Mesquite!

Paper towels were out when we were just here but at least it was open, so no biggie. Just shook my hands out mid air and a pat down on my clothes and voila! Lots of weeds and the lawn could use mowing. I'm trying to do cartwheels and keep littles entertained. How are dogs living it up better than us humans. In my Scooby voice, "Ruh-Oh" It does seem like it's been here for awhile so not really sure if specifics get overseen by the city or whom exactly. Simple around the park clean up would go miles. For a park w/playing fields, it does its job and it's a great area for practice time. Also near Kids Kingdom and Rowlett Recreation. Convenience within 5 min.
