Just being able to hear the water waves, and seeing the sun glistening against the water is a tranquil vibe. On the some weekends there are people giving birthday parties or barbecuing at the Barbecue Grills. There is a Fishing Pier, Parking lot area, Pavilions (Small), Picnic Tables, a Playground where my kids play and swing, a Sand Volleyball Court, Trails for Hiking / Biking. I enjoy the peace and convenience of the view to walk around the lakeside in a calm setting.

The city recently installed bathrooms on site, planted additional trees, a sun shield over the playground to lower the impact from the sun and keep the kiddies cooler, and some workout stations. Additionally, as mentioned before it does have a paved walking trail and pavilion. Along the trail there are two perpetually stocked dog waste bag stations and trash cans so folks can clean up after their pets. There is no water fountain at this park and I hope they install one with a dog fountain attachment at the bottom someday soon (the thought of drinking out of the bathroom is gross to me,sorry).Go here in the early morning or closer to dusk.

I was ready to turn around with my 8 year old son and find a nearby atm, however the nice young lady at the front desk named Chelsea was kind enough to admit us in complimentary. Her small kind gesture is what I knew will bring us back summer after summer. The pool was clean, they had music playing and they allow you to bring in outside food and drink. 10/10 recommend, make sure to bring sandals because the pavement gets really hot! We had a wonderful afternoon, can't wait to come back!

The gazebo gives a great view of the lake and being able to walk the shore and skip rocks is always a very relaxing thing to do. There's actually a secret spot tucked off away from the lake that people don't know about. Good fishing in that part, but not so much in the lake itself from the human interaction on the edge of the water. Families come out and hang out and windsurf so it's pretty family friendly. Also a nice place to go on a date and star gaze. Lots of traffic here on the holidays like Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Juneteenth, and New Years. People from all over come out and celebrate and it can get a little hectic but there's plenty of space to do what you want. I'll always love this place

It's…read morejust 20 minutes west on I-30, a few circuitous turns down residential streets, and suddenly you're there, surrounded by a huge, beautiful expanse of water. My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon looking for a peaceful place to enjoy a picnic, and we mostly found it. The spot by what might be described as a swimming hole (with easiest access to water) was pretty crowded, packed with happily squealing children and drunk people on jet skis, but up on the grassy hill we had the place to ourselves. We spread out our blanket, gazed out at the water and ate our packed sandwiches in perfect peace. We even wandered up the hill after lunch and explored the little playground, basketball court, and picnic tables that were there. My only complaint might be the "restroom"-- two dilapidated port-a-potties that looked pretty bad and smelled worse. But considering that it's free park, free to enjoy the lake and a pretty nice place to be in general, I can get by with mediocre toilets.
