Harry Myers Park is an expansive park with a wonderful kids playground in the heart of Rockwall. I visited on a crisp winter day with my wife and son, and we enjoyed the walking trails through a busy disc golf course and around a large pond. Then, we visited the recently renovated children's playground that has a large playground structure, swings, a zipline, and a warped wall. There are also at least two bathrooms located throughout the park- always a plus. Oh, and there's also two dog parks and a swimming pool, plus ample parking. If you're looking for a fun place to take your kid or go for a walk or run, this is a great spot. It gets quite crowded in the summer, but hey, it's popular for a reason. read more

I like this park a lot! We stumbled upon this park while we were nearby. This park looks aesthetically pleasing and the equipment is new and unique. I give the builders a lot of props because this place makes the adults want to play to . A creative way to keep everyone engaged and create some fun memories together. A sturdy playground and I also like that it's spacious enough so everyone can enjoy. I like the seated zip line they have here. The design of this park sets itself apart from other parks . 5 stars easily... Here to celebrate my grandson's first birthday. Although we didn't reserve a pavilion, we found a gazebo. This park is large with many open spaces for pick up sports, room to roam, multiple ponds with fish, multiple playgrounds, swimming pool, splash pad, dog park, museum, and Frisbee golf. There are multiple parking lots. We watch a dad and son reel in 6 fish in about 5 minutes. Although they were small crappie, it was very exciting for the small child! Quite a few grills were grilling hamburgers and hotdogs, which filled the park with delicious grilled meat aroma! Made me Soooo hungry. The splash pad was an obvious favorite of my grandkids. read more

Went for a three year olds birthday party. The parents had rented the small event space next to the pool. After we were playing in the actual park. The kids had a blast with such a big and versatile park. There are many sensory areas throughout the playground. The best part is the gate is childproof and only one entrance so you can sit while your child roams around. My only recommendation is that towards the middle of the playground it's missing some type of light on the tree. read more

What a gem of a park! A trifecta of fun for everyone! You, the kids and the dog! An active dads dream park as you can get your workout in while the kids play! The Good: This park is sooooo awesome!!! Kids playing area, stacked with every "jungle gym" you can imagine! Traditional Swings, like 7 different types! Merry go round! They banned those in California years ago! This park got TWO!! And a dog park right next to it! Cmon! Plus the pool to cool off in after you get your play on! This park is it!!! The Bad: the metal, it gets HOT! The plastic grass, it also get HOT! The Ugly: it has a low Red Imported Fire Ant (solenopsis invicta )infestation, but it's on a well hidden area that kids will definitely get stung by. Not sure who to contact, maybe park facility maintenance or a pest control operator, I am one but in the state of California so I couldn't make a service request. Overall this park is amazing, and I'm going to be taking the kids more often every time we visit the great state of Texas!!! read more

This is a very pretty park. I have to give it a one star because of the frequency of the dog part being closed. The city should try to come up with a better solution so that the residents can use the dog park. I've seen some dog parks with Astroturf in the high traffic areas. When you ask an official about it, they just make excuses. read more

Recently started getting into disc golf during COVID season. This is by far one of the nicest disc golf courses in the DFW area. Not only do they have 2 concrete pads per hole (depending on your strength level), their course is very well marked and easy to follow. For those who've never played before, disc golf is basically golf with specific frisbees. Harry Myers as a park on it's own is really nice. They have a fantastic concrete trail that goes around the entire park, there's a kids splash pad, pavilions for grilling and picnics, and tons of greenery. We really enjoyed playing disc golf while other families brought their kiddos, dogs, and soccer balls. The grass was well kept, and the mini ponds randomly at each hole were nice. We went on a particularly muddy day so I highly recommend bringing old shoes to play in. Pro tip: watch out for the trees. I may or may not have gotten two discs stuck up pretty high. It took a very patient husband to climb up and get them down. Oops. read more

My son and I LOVE this park! We travel the 40 minute drive from Terrell at least twice a week to get my little man's energy out. The best part about this park is that it's completely artificial turf, so virtually NO bugs or wood chips, as well as PLENTY of things for the extra little ones to spin, flip, twist, and turn throughout the park that are their height. We had driven into Rockwall to get some burgers at Boots, and looked for a place to eat. Myers park is really close and so peaceful. We ate in the gazebo and really enjoyed the time. With the water features it was calm and peaceful. it also has shaded picnic tables and a covered pavilion. it was so relaxing there. Such a great park in this small city. Filled with lined trees and something to do for the entire family. I enjoyed taking my small Dashund, Peanut out today for a pleasant walk, swim in the pond and run in the dog park before it got too hot. Beautiful park located in Rockwall. I came here the other day to chaperone and take photos of my younger cousin and her friends for their homecoming. I must say, what a perfect place to collect and take candid snaps of an important event of her adolescent life. The park is spacious with many things to do. There is a lake where you can pop a seat down on the deck and throw out your lure for fishing, an interactive water fountain where youngins (or oldies) can run into to have a "splash" of fun and a little white pavilion that is on the waters edge perfect for couples! I also came here back in July 4th for Independence Day where the Rockwall Community put on a spectacular fireworks display and concert! This is held here yearly and I highly recommend this event if you feel like venturing out of the concrete jungle that is, Dallas. read more

Typical city park with paved trails, a body of water with a dock type of structure, a pretty big playground, complete with a pool. I came here to practice my biking riding skills which sadly is still a work in progress. I had to use the parking lot to warm up before being able to bike on the trails. Which is not the park's fault but mine as a bike rider. Anyways, I saw people with their dogs at the dog park which I forgot to mention there's one and people walking on the trails. Oh they also have a disc golf thing which is kinda under the park which also had lots of people. I'd come here again if I was in the area. Great park with lots of space to roam, dog park, pool and fantastic playground. They hold some really nice community event here sometimes. My littles (5 and 2 yo) love the bridges and passageways, slides, swings, and hiding spots. It's a nice park for a wide age range. My only tiny little complaint is that the size of the playground is so wide and elaborate it's hard to keep an eye on both my kids at the same time- I sort of have to follow them rather than hang out on a bench and enjoy the sunshine. They have a nice walking trail and great play area for kids. They even have a new tennis court that is covered that looks very nice. They have a community pool attached that is always busy, but never been to myself. It's a great place to walk and let the kids blow off steam. The reason I gave it a low review was due to the availability of the dog park. I have gone several times Ana it's either Been too busy that I can't get in, or the whole thing was shut down - which has been more often than not. They had a chain lock on the door to keep it closed and a sign saying the dog park is closed for the day. We live in an apartment so it's nice to be able to let the dog out to run around every now and then but obviously not at this location!! read more

Harry Meyers park is a pretty decent little park. It's located adjacent to the city pool if you know where that is located in Rockwall. Although this park is a little bit of a drive to get to.... (It's kind of outta the way). This park has some good qualities. For starters the children's playground is completely fenced all the way around and there are quite a few benches spread around it so you can sit and watch the kiddos run and play. They do have restrooms close by. This little park has a bonus dog park beside it that is fenced and its a decent size. The parking lot is not huge so on a busy Saturday you may have to squeeze in. Overall it's a pretty clean little playground. We would come back again, if in the area. read more

This is a great park and a wonderful place to bring the family. The kids love walking around the lake and talking to the fishermen about the different fish in the lake. The splash pad is perfect for the little ones and there are trees that provide a lot of shade for when the sun becomes too much. There is a famous DORBA Dallas Offroad Bicycling Association mountain bike trail here. It is mostly passable on city bikes or wartmall dept store junk, but if you are really into bikes you can go fast here and take all the climbs, jumps, and rocks with glee. There are picnic parks, soccer fields, and a restroom building nearby, if you bring lunch and want to practice your soccer skills. There are league games often but usually plenty of field space. This is a great local park! We have been a few times for nice evening walks, bike rides, and we most def want to try the frisbee golf course and also the dog park! There is a community pool and a huge playground for the kiddos! There is also a nice huge pond for catch and release fishing and lots of spots for picnicking on the grass or if you want there are also picnic tables that are shaded. Its a great place to just enjoying the outdoors. I am excited to explore more here, very nice! read more
