    Pretty pink flowers

If you happen to be in the Oak Lawn area between Cedar Springs & Turtle Creek Road. Take a 15 minute well deserved green nature break in this upscale neighborhood. Dragon Park is a private location, but is open to the public to enjoy it's numerous fun, scary, and entertaining statues. There are pretty blooming flowers and interesting shrubbery to delight one's eye as well. Driving east on Cedar Springs, make a left on Hood Street and park your car to the immediate curb, after the red no parking sign. Right in front of this little oasis in our Dallas concrete jungle, is the entrance. A green 2 hour sign allows 120 minutes to hang out, eat a lunch, take some photos, and then hit the road again. There are no bathrooms, but there are a few restaurants on the west side of Oak Lawn Avenue. It's a cute quaint hidden gem for sure. I really wish our city provided more green shaded cooler spots, we are so overran with urban trappings, without the balance of nature and places to be outside, regardless of the season, which is a shame. There are probably half a dozen or more tracts of modest space and land that could be converted. One can only hope that those in the local city council making policy. Set aside a few well deserved tax dollars to give our city more outdoor venues for everyone to enjoy.

When u arrive theres a small parking lot and parking on side of streets. Free and public but will have 'private property' signs around. No one was here other than a couple of artists, working on their project. It is a very small park with stone paths that circles around. Many animal statutes and flowers/plants that you can take a photo of or with. Nice, decent activity to quickly stop by with a friend or just by yourself to think about things. There's no reason u should be here for more than 20-30 mins other than to admire and take photos with the animal statutes. Not sure if it's a must stop but something to see and do if very bored.

    Such a cool tiny park.

This is a lovely and charming park. It's a very small park but a beautiful place to have lunch or sit a while. There are lots of wonderful sculptures here like a large lion, a Chinese dragon with it's foot on a tiny dragon, a 5' frog hiding under a leaf, a tall Chinese dragon and a beautiful lady sitting in the garden who looks like she is ready to give someone a kiss. It's such a cute area between some houses. I think it's worth a visit if you enjoy seeing unique gardens. I don't think it's really a place for kids to play since it's so small but I think it's a nice place to show kids who love fairies and magical places. It reminds me of a mini Narnia.

Really nice place! It's a hidden gem in Dallas; the sculptures are cool. It's a small place and probably not somewhere you want to spend a lot of time in because of all of the mosquitoes- I spent about two minutes taking pictures and I got 10 bug bites. There's not much to it besides the statues but it's worth a visit if you're in the city.

Angels Vs Demons??? Well, close... angels, dragons, fairies, griffins, and gargoyles all in one garden! This makes an interesting and surprisingly peaceful place to visit, meditate, take family photos (or any photos), and/or picnic. The three entrances are adorned with twin statues of 3 different mythical and mysterious creatures. The kids loved it! Hubby loved it! I loved it! It was a calming and fruitful trip. We got family photos and pics for framing for different rooms.

Gorgeous, hidden gem in the middle of the city. Drove past this park several times and never knew it was here. I stumbled upon it today, but even in the winter with most of the foliage gone, I still give it 5 stars because I totally see the potential come spring time. Very tiny Park, I would say more of a magical garden. There are several statues around the area, with a beautiful gazebo in the middle (vines hanging down). Also a beautiful stone table with benches on either end of the garden, would be ideal for a romantic picnic with your loved one or an intimate little gathering with friends. Although the street is right there, the garden itself was quiet, serene. Can't wait to go back in the spring when the foliage is in bloom!

This is more of a garden to me... instead of park. lol It was kinda of tricky to find, but it was worth the search. Pretty park/garden to check out.

A hidden treasure right in my neighborhood. Great place to sit & read on a hot day. One of many reasons why this New York City transplant loves Dallas. You'll walk right by if you don't look for it. Have fun!

Very peaceful and cool. Too small for playing or walking around but a bigger park is north east up the road.

I love taking photos here! The location is perfect. It's very private and not a lot of people of you come at the right time. When you there early in the morning, there is a cool breeze that you can take advantage of. The park is so small but so well managed and put together that every shot looks like your are virtually in several other parks...but you are still in the same spot. Check out my photos!! Very cool place, extremely small but still nice for pictures. If you're in the area it's worth the short time it takes to check it out!

    Gorgeous and relaxing place!

It's close to where I live, and I love having such a beautifully maintained green space nearby. There's lots of open lawn that would be perfect for a picnic or just soaking up some sunshine. It's dog-friendly (major points for that!), and I've consistently seen pet parents doing a great job cleaning up after their pups. Personally, I prefer this kind of open space over a traditional dog park--as long as your pup has excellent recall and listens well. Just a heads-up: Turtle Creek Blvd runs alongside the park and it's a busy street, so keep that in mind. One of my favorite things about this park is how it feels like a little escape from the hustle of the city. Maybe I've been lucky, but's it's never gotten overly busy during my visits. Whether you're walking your dog, taking a quiet stroll, or reading under a tree, it's just a nice vibe. Pro Tip: There is some street parking available, but only on certain sides depending on signage--so double-check before leaving your car. All in all, a relaxing and scenic spot in the heart of Dallas. Happy Exploring!

Great views of the Calatravas bridges and downtown! This…read moreimproved hiking and biking trail takes you past some of the most scenic parts of downtown Dallas. From the floodplain of the Trinity River, you can see all the bright lights of Big D. Downtown Dallas has two bridges designed by the internationally acclaimed architect, Santiago Calatravas. There's one at each end of the trail here. There's no restrooms here along this trail. No shade from trees. The area around the Trinity has been mowed to keep things visible, and a concrete path to follow. There's a map at the trail head that walks you through the features of the Trinity river valley. This place is generally pretty sketchy at night- there's a place you can pull off the road and park and make out or whatever those people are doing in their cars. It seems like a fantastic place to meet some shady characters late at night. I wouldn't hike past sundown. I went walking alone through the trail, and I'm pretty sure I made some of the other joggers uncomfortable when there was nobody else around... I'd have felt much more comfortable on a bike.

On our first trip out, we only walked the half mile leg of the trail between the Trinity Overlook and the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge. Street parking was easy at the Overlook. There weren't a lot of spaces but there also weren't a lot of cars. I think most people start from one of the other trailheads. The views from the overlook are nice, but not as nice as the views from the pedestrian bridge. It would probably be more exciting at night. From the overlook we descended down a steep hill to the trail. The path is a little rocky but still adequate for running, assuming you have good shoes. This definitely isn't a trail for you barefoot runners! I can't speak for the rest of it, but this portion of the trail was NOT LIT, so it wouldn't be an early morning or night run option without a flashlight (and a taser). It is roughly a flat half mile from the overlook to the bridge and it is beautiful. There are views of both the Margaret McDermott and Margaret Hunt Hill bridges, the Trinity River, and the Dallas Skyline. Walking the trail in early April, everything was vibrantly green and absolutely stunning. We hopped off the trail to walk down the Ronald Kirk pedestrian bridge. On a Friday mid morning in the midst of Coronavirus quarantine, the bridge was sparsely populated - just a few people here and there running, biking, or walking their dogs. I see from previous reviewers that it is normally quite lively, which will be a fun thing to go back and experience, but it was also nice to have the bridge mostly to ourselves and peacefully take in the 360 degree views. The Trinity Skyline trail and the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian bridge come together to make a true urban oasis. Go check it out!
