Nice park with plenty of space for your dog to run. Just off the Kelly trail so great to stop along the way.

A lovely urban park along Katy Trail. Beautiful are the trees surrounding the steps leading to it. Many leisurely strolls I've taken here on a given Sunday. Serene it is on beautiful days to submerge myself in enjoying reading a book, having a picnic, or ending the weekend by watching the sunsets here. Ahhh. Being an art lover, I also look forward to each of the "Spring and Fall Turtle Creek Arts Festivals" held here. Sublime is the selection of artists presented. CHEERS!

Reverchon is such a beautiful park to enjoy any day of the week, I am here AT LEAST 3-4 times a day. Whether i am just walking through with my dogs to get to Katy Trail, or doing some squirrel watching, we cannot get enough of reverchon. There is no "unofficial off leash dog area" as mentioned in an earlier review, your dog should be leashed at all times. Although no one follows that law, so it can be quite frustrating when owners are a mile away on the other side of the park while their dog is jumping all over you and your dogs. I have been attacked at least 2 times and called a B**** for asking someone to leash their dog. Respect the park and respect others is all i will say about that! Plenty of grassy areas to just lounge around for a picnic, set up a hammock and enjoy the scenery. They host different events at the park throughout the year, such as the arts festival that just happened earlier this month i believe. There's a children's play area, basketball court, and a baseball field where i see some games every so often. This park has something for everyone to enjoy.

Great wide open spaces to let your dog run around without bothering other dogs or people who are not friendly. Backs up to Scottish Rite hospital and sits between it and the Katy Trail.

I love this park. Beautiful, rolling hills greenery. It attaches to the Katy Trail. Also attaches to baseball park. Park has area for kids to play, unofficial area for dogs to be off leash (though sometimes you can get tickets for that), water fountains, etc. I love coming here to relax with my pup and a good book.

My friend and I walked through part of the park after we walked on the Katy Trail. Park parking was completely full, but we managed to find street parking across the street. The park itself is pretty big, but I wasn't that impressed otherwise. There's a playground, plenty of green fields, and a river. They had a 5K run the day of, so they closed off most of the park.

Sand volleyball court

Beautiful park. There is a sand volleyball court but it's a little hard to find. I looked on google maps to locate it.

Nice retreat in the middle of the city, I've lived in the Dallas area all my life and have never come across this park which is located so close to Katy trail. I had a blast and so did my little pup. We will definitely be back soon!

I absolutely love the stone bridges in this park. There is tons of space and it has a nice mix of open fields and wooded areas. I'd say it's one of Dallas's more underrated outdoor spaces. Connection to Katy Trail is at the top of the hill, closer to the highway.

Ever since I've relocated back to Texas, I've been having a hard time finding a nice outdoors-y place in the city that feels like it's an actual escape. I mean, Klyde Warren is nice and all but it's literally surrounded by buildings and cityscape. Enter Reverchon Park - it's just the loveliest thing I've found in Dallas, yet. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was perfectly serene, I had the whole back part of the park to myself to just run, stare into the sun, and rejuvenate. It reminds me of my favorite park in SF called Lafayette, I miss it so much as I use to go every weekend and I'm glad to find another that reminds me of my former home. The only con is that there are some folks that don't take care of the park and there's a few litterings I saw around the area, which is really disappointing. Other than that, it's just a perfect place to fall in love with nature. I can't wait to go back. I parked by the Rec center and it looked perfectly safe during the daytime.

Tennis courts in Riverchon

Beautiful Park in Turtle Creek area of Dallas. Runs along side Katy trail with many openings between the two. Tree line sidewalks, a creek, a reflecting pond with a path around it and tennis courts. That was just a few of my views from the Katy trail, I am sure there is much more to explore. Katy trail was packed with walkers and cyclists, Reverchon had very few people on this Sunday afternoon. It looked empty mostly. I'll have to explore it more next time I'm in the area. There may be certain areas of the park that are more populated at different times. My Dallas based daughter says she goes to a yoga class there sometimes.

I used to enjoy coming here on the weekends to relax. It's become too crowded the last few times I have visited.

Don't drop the equipment or use Super heavy weights because one of the Staff members will ask you to not disturb the spa next-door. The music sounds depressing and it's played through an intercom system. But it's the only full gym on the side of town. It closes a little too early. You are sharing with Hotel guest. That may not know what they're doing. So I only maybe recommend it. The few positives include: You can probably find the equipment you're looking for. It's not overly crowded, unless there's a convention of annoying people in town like yesterday. They keep it clean. Generally, I feel it's overpriced for the value. But again, it's the only one on the side of town So get a tour and figure out if it's for you.

It took me about a month to get enough response back from the manager to join. Once I joined I emailed several logistical follow up questions and have never received a response. As far as I know there is no email newsletter or online schedules. I went to one class so far and there was no one attending, I arrived right at the class time and the teacher was packing up because no one was there. Like I said, from an equipment standpoint, there is everything you need, it is not the top of the line, but everything seems pretty well-maintained and in working order. Access to the hotel pools is also a plus. But it does not feel friendly at all, you are kind of left alone to figure things out. I came from very communal gym membership environments so it is quite a change.

Today while I was at the park there was a vibrancy that was contagious. It brought the Chicago song, Saturday In The Park to mind, but I am still looking for the man selling Ice Cream! So far I have seen people playing life-size Chess, kids playing in a dancing fountain, venders selling goods, authors selling books, people playing ping pong, and "a man playing guitar singing for us all!"

I will say the playground's pretty chaotic at times. Bunch of brats unsupervised being annoying. Saw this kid helping her little sister up one of the climbing net structures with a slide midway up and the kid was telling another kid to move so her little sister can get by. Now I get it if the other kid was just parked there not moving but the kid was moving but maybe not at the pace the brat wanted. To me, seems like a you problem and someone didn't tell her the world didn't revolve around her and her little sister. Was at another part of the playground and noticed a mom suddenly started yelling obscenities because she lost her son. She was just sitting at a bench I guess closer to her other 2 kiddos. Um newsflash. If you can't handle 3 kids, your poor choices don't need to infect other people trying to enjoy their time there. She eventually found her son but yet another story of someone who thinks the world revolves around themselves.

Above that is indoor track that runs around the whole space. You have to go downstairs to find weightlifting floor. I was expecting a light and fresh place, similar to Equinox. Instead, the walls are a light beige, making it seem kind of muddy, and the light is a little yellowish too. I was also a little surprised that they didn't have more squat racks (four). Although the number that they have for here is more than adequate I guess. They also have two Olympic lifting platforms which, interestingly enough, were being used all the time when I was there. It's nice to see people doing Olympic lifts, I used to think no one ever knew about them. Lockers Non-descript. The type where you bring your own lock, though most of the lockers are not day lockers but people's personal lockers. The showers seemed decent. Also, it seems one of the sinks was having issues, have no idea how long that had been going on but they way it was talked about seemed like it had been that way for a while.

Separate pools for lap swimming and water-walking or water aerobics instruction. Hallelujah. 2. Pool lanes are quite large, so sharing wouldn't be difficult at all. That said, at the day/time I was there, I didn't have to share. 3. Towel service (hint: the large towels are inside the entrances to the locker rooms). 4. Garage parking underground is a super nice perk for a rainy day. 5. Friendly staff (but that seems to be all YMCAs). Cons: 1. Shower situation was shockingly poorly planned, given that this entire building is relatively new construction. I guess showers don't need benches where you can put your stuff? In the women's locker room, people had pulled chairs over into the shower area to "solve" this problem, but it wasn't great. 2. For anyone who's uncomfortable in a public locker room for any particular reason (I can think of several), there are very few (only two) private shower/locker rooms available relative to my home YMCA, and they're labeled with rather unfriendly signs saying that you shouldn't use them unless you're a family or a disabled person.
