Hands down the best donuts on the outer cape. Donuts are large, baked fresh and are not super sweet loaded with sugar. The Ham and cheese croissants are big and heated to the peak of goodness. Get there early because the line will get long quick. Oh...and the coffee is great too! read more

We had seen this small shop on Rt 6 after dinner at the attached restaurant the night before. We decided to stop the next morning to have a quick breakfast before we got on our way- we were REALLY disappointed! 3 of us had cake donuts toasted coconut, chocolate coconut, and old fashioned, and 1 had the lemon filled. General consensus- cake donuts were so dry that we were basically choking them down. But it seemed like my daughter enjoyed her lemon filled donut, so the regular donuts might be fine but I would stay away from the cake style. They had a case filled with other choices as well, pastries and brownies, as well as muffins and bagels, all which looked great but I can't speak on taste. I went in search of a vanilla cupcake for my husband's birthday this week. He doesn't like chocolate or other flavors, but that was all that was in the case when I went in. When we went back later there were still none in the case, but when I asked they checked in back and the bakers went above and beyond and frosted two for us. Very disappointed in this establishment. For starters, there was a line out the door because the building is so small and cannot accommodate the amount of customers it has (not sure why though, I was not impressed with the donuts). There really was not much of a selection for donuts. Don't go in here expecting fun or exciting types of donuts, they barely even have the basics. I got the Chocolate Glazed, Boston Cream, Butter Crunch, Sour Cream and Glazed. The Glazed donut was flavorless and full of air. The Boston Cream barely had any cream inside. The cake donuts were large but very dry and also flavorless. To top it all off the staff members were very rude, yelling at each customer to "close the door behind them" and many of the staff members seemed annoyed when customers took more than a few minutes to order. My brother in law has been grabbing me coffee while we were at our family vacation home this past week... I was wondering why the cold brew wasn't particularly smooth. I went in myself today, ordered a large, and witnessed them filling the cup half with plain iced coffee then TOPPING it with their cold brew. Is this a joke? No wonder it's been tasting bitter. We got a smattering of things, all of which we enjoyed. I thought the blueberry muffin and the bacon and egg croissant were particularly good (although don't expect the croissant to be flaky...). There was a huge line to get in which went relatively quickly, although if you're in a rush I'm not sure you'd feel it was worth the wait. You could call ahead, which we tried, but no one picked up. The good folks also make specialty donuts from time to time, which you can also ask them to make specially for you, provided you give them a few days notice. Yummyyyyy! Got a plain glazed donut and it was perfection - hefty amount of glaze, fluffy, and moist! Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the more specialty donut types, but they all looked delicious as well. We rented a house in Eastham for MDW and this was the closest Hole in One. I had previously gone to the Orleans location, so I wasn't sure what to expect. When we got there (around 11 on a Saturday), the line was literally out the door (still not as bad at the other location). However, it moved pretty fast since it's only a bakery and most people are getting their items to go. The space is a bit small. There's a counter and a small area by the window to sit if you want to enjoy your baked goods there. The staff was super friendly, helpful and quick. We each got several donuts. Having had the donuts before, I opted for sour cream which is a cake like donut. They also have fluffy donuts like chocolate dipped and honey dipped. Besides donuts, they sell muffins, bagels, croissants, cupcakes and I think I even saw a cannoli in there. I love cake donuts so these really hit the spot and they're HUGE! I would definitely come back but if I was looking for more of a sit down place, I would recommend the Orleans location. read more

This Donut Shop surprised my family in many ways. The breakfast place next door was said to be very good, but not cheap. We decided to try the donut shop in lieu of the pricier cafe. The donuts were great! I would recommend the jelly donut and the sour cream donut--the Boston creme donut was not my favorite because of the lack of creme. The staff was really great and the iced espresso was fantastic. The restaurant was clean and had some seats, but the outside seats were accommodating. Boyfriend and I stopped here on a whim in our travels up to Provincetown - and I'm so glad we stumbled into this little breakfast joint/bakery combo. Yeah, it wasn't the healthiest breakfast (donuts never are), but service was good, and the retro diner feel was homey and full of apparent regulars. The donuts were moist and yet had more of a cakey texture than the spongey Dunkin Donuts creations. Definitely homemade, which is a rarity in Dunkin' country. And.. update. Did the full-on sit down breakfast.. and was quite bummed out. The bagels are dead on the same as a grocery store's rendition. The home fries are clearly frozen, out of a bag. Soggy bacon, Boring french toast. The "nutella stuffed french toast" was simply plain looking french toast with nutella smeared on top. It was mobbed of course, and service suffered as a result. They need to make their socially distanced line very clear outside. They also should really put up daily menus around outside so people have an idea of what they want before entering. I walked in and was basically expected to know what I wanted to order right off the bat. Uh...? Not how that works anywhere. And they are beyond miserable at understanding you through masks. They also should really look into variety with their doughnuts. The same creations day-in and day-out just gets...lackluster. On my most recent visit, I got two drinks and some bacon/egg thing -- total came out to ~$15. Not really sure how that happened, but I didn't question it. They have a big selection and on a Tuesday morning, the business was brisk. That's a good sign, although I miss the quietude and sleepy-eyed teens at Fleming's. The woman taking food orders in the pink and white mask working the morning of 8/19/2020, was extremely rude and lacked basic manners. She couldn't even say you're welcome or Hi. I noticed her being rude to the other customers behind me as well. Like I said it was my first time there, and she was rushing me and my boyfriend ordering.
