These are some of the biggest truffles I've had, so they may be more than an average truffle, but you get your moneys worth. This cafe was right next door to our hotel. Limited breakfast menu. Breakfast sandwiches - egg and cheese on an English muffin. Choice of meat. A better coffee selection. But nothing too extensive. I was double charged for my hot chai. And they acted like I was the problem when I asked for it to be credited. read more

Very boutique. I ordered a coffee -- lg -- w/ cream and sugar. I waited in line & purchased a hat while I was there :) been trying to find something cute for my boyfriend and Provincetown had ample "stuff" but nothing I really wanted to spend money on. Found a cute red hat & nabbed it. Coffee is weak -- I'm a "hairy-chest coffee-drinker" (as my mama would say) but I wasn't terribly impressed with their regular old coffee. Note that they do have espresso drinks and these may be a lot better. Place is cute & they have a selection of cards, fudge, candies, etc. and I didn't try any of these (and therefore didn't want to take more than one star off) but I may be back. Chocolate Cafe is a cafe and chocolaterie that opened in Eastham, Massachusetts in 2005. It was founded by Elaine Gremila. In June 2018, the cafe reopened in a larger location down the street from their original. The cafe has a 1950s diner theme and serves a variety of treats including homemade chocolates, truffles, pastries, fudge, gourmet coffee, hot chocolate, smoothies, frappes, and an assortment of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. In addition to the edible treats, the cafe also carries an eclectic variety of cards and gifts. My family and I visited Chocolate Cafe this past August during our week-long trip to the Cape. We stopped there for breakfast on our last morning, just before heading back to Connecticut. We really liked the interior which was loaded with all sorts of crazy treats and gifts. Our son looked over their selection of baked goods and picked out a delicious "Blueberry Crumb Yogurt Muffin" for himself. My wife and I ordered a couple of their yummy "Breakfast Sandwiches" (choice of bacon, sausage or Canadian bacon with egg & American cheese, served on an English muffin). My wife chose bacon for her meat while I opted for Canadian bacon. We washed everything down with some "Frozen Hot Chocolate", which doesn't taste like a chocolate milkshake but actual frozen hot chocolate if that makes any sense. We really enjoyed all of the treats that we sampled at Chocolate Cafe and would definitely stop there again on a future trip to the Cape. read more

What an amazing store! I went for a scone and I was overwhelmed by gorgeous chocolates, fun merchandise and a blast from the past. This is a great place to stop in, in Eastham. I love popping in for iced and hot drinks and cocoa of course! My friends, family. No I have tried so many things here and everything is delicious! They also have delicious truffles and sweets to try! I also appreciate that they have gifts there as well, and they are very cute, fun and some funny! I also notice that the products change based on the time of year- so right now they have items that would be good for Mother's Day. It's actually embarrassing when people are down the Cape visiting us and they stop in this place. While the store may have a cute kitschy theme (which is fine by me) the service could not be worse. SUCH a bizarre and unfriendly experience here. The cashier (possibly the owner?) is possibly the rudest person I've ever encountered. After ordering over $70 of breakfast, I asked for ice water for my dog's bowl outside and was told they don't offer ice water. I said ok, but then said wanted to note that after spending so much money on breakfast, I didn't think it was unreasonable to ask for a cup of ice water. Her response and SCOWL was so rude that I had to rethink my words to make sure I hadn't just said something awful. But nope, I'd just asked for ice water for a hot dog after spending a bunch of money in her establishment. If you're looking for a nice breakfast experience, I'd look elsewhere. read more

Absolutely horrific experience. Besides the coffee and horrible whoopie pie and chocolate, we got yelled at by the person working the counter for self-serving on a chocolate on the counter, which had no sign to explain that it was not self-service. An honest mistake, but to get yelled at as if we committed a murder was ridiculous. The service staff needs to take lessons in dealing with the public and being descent humans. Upon first glance, the chocolate cafe doesn't seem like much. But definitely do give it a chance!! Once you walk in you are surrounded by cute decor, candy/sweets/chocolates and Knick knacks. They also offer things like Affogato, Frappe's, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, bakery items, 100 different types of truffles & other chocolate dessert items. Seating is limited but they have other cute seating options around the building after you walk around the front. read more

This is a cute little quaint chocolate shop and café located right in the heart of the cake. It has a nice little gift shop cute little seating areas and offers breakfast and lunch. I tried to go there for lunch on a Tuesday but was told the grilled was closed, thus they only got four stars. They offer some lovely chocolates and a variety of specialty gifts if you're looking for something last minute. Wish I could have tried more of their menu. read more

These people leaving 1 star reviews will bitch about anything. The espresso here is superb. I usually just get a doubleshot in a cup and throw some cream in it to get the day started. Not because I like it, but because it's faster boost than coffee. I don't remember the last time I had espresso and actually enjoyed it, but this stuff was fantastic. We spent three days on the cape. I stopped by here for that same doubleshot with a splash of cream 4 times. I will DEFINITELY be back next year. read more

We used to like this place very much. We have been back 3-4 times this summer and each time the owners have been ruder than the last. They don't know us and others in the area have had similar experiences. The food is just ok but it's a novelty place. We want them to succeed and are mystified by their attitude? I drive along Route 6 every day and look over at the Chocolate Cafe and I always feel like this cafe is the unknown stepsister of the Chocolate Sparrow, but I really like that such a smart, clean, urban chocolate cafe exists in the SeaToller Plaza in North Eastham! Walk past the outdoor tables and umbrellas that are always out this time of year (also a very fun bubble machine was going outside when I went in this morning!) and enter a chocolate nirvana! A large case of handmade chocolates and candies on one side and a big selection of packaged candies on the other - the kind of things I always buy for holidays and birthdays - nicely wrapped cellophane bags of fun, colorfully wrapped delicious candy. There's a selection of greeting cards, fudge, saltwater taffy - whether you're visiting for the day and want to pick up a souvenir of the Cape or rushing in for a last minute birthday or hostess gift, you'll find it here. I like their coffee a lot, It's a medium roast and they make a full menu of espresso drinks. Muffins are big and light (I know muffins pop into many of my reviews but dammit, I have a bias towards heavy, doughy muffins) and varied- blueberry, cranberry, choc chip - yummy. Nice people behind the counter, everything is fresh and it smells good inside! We chocolate and a light light lunch. The Lobster BLT instantly attracted me. It was better than any Lobster Roll I had on the Cape, in Maine or anywhere else. I always go to Savory Grill when staying on the outer cape but we extended out stay and we happened to be very close to Chocolate Cafe. For breakfast we were told we could have eggs ordered our way for the breakfast sandwiches. I was super excited because I cannot stand a runny egg:/ Not only were the yolks runny but so were the whites!!! So I returned my sandwich, my 3rd time back to Chocolate Cafe, the 2nd trio back was b/c the woman helping us didn't include my sons cinnabun. She said she had been forgetting others orders all morning, this was the older woman working Monday about 10am. On my 3 rd trip back to get something else instead of my runny egg sandwich the older woman was very rude to me- she asked as it was an inconvenience to HER. I love stopping by Chocolate Cafe on my way to Provincetown and the beaches to grab a cappuccino and a small box of chocolates. My favs: sea salted dark chocolate dipped caramels, any of their chocolate truffles, and dark chocolate dipped candied orange rind. YUM! read more

Love this place! smoothies are 10/10 and the coffee is too. the only suggestion I would make is that they put a garbage can outside where the pickup window is so you can have a place to discard the straw wrapper. That or just take off the straw wrapper inside the cafe before serving customers. There's too much pollution right outside the cafe. read more
