Compared to previous years, the selection of desserts in the case (cake slices, pies, pastries, etc.) was much smaller and less diverse. We opted to share the salted caramel crunch cake and a decaf coffee. I like that they still offer whipped cream to come with your dessert! Our coffee was delicious and definitely necessary to cut the sweetness of the cake. My father ordered his standard "frozen monkey," which he reported was as delicious as ever!

You can immediately tell with the large red barn on the property, along with the kitschy children "rides" and mini golf lot on the same property, that this place just exists to take as much of your tourist dollars as possible Inside the Gif Barn you will find an amazing collection of dust collectors, tshirts, pet toys, magnets, fudge, outright tacky gifts, everything you could ask that screams "I was in vacation!!" It's AWESOME. I have been coming to this place since I was 10 years old, begging my parents to stop so we could get a totally useless souvenir. I can't tell you how many shells, shiny rocks, shell necklaces etc I have purchased here over the years. This trip was no different. It would not have been complete without a stop at the Gift Barn. What was a surprise was how outrageously priced everything is now. I guess since the majority of the items is "made in China", they get hit with the tariffs and so of course we the customer has to pay for them. It's sad as these used to be super affordable items you could spend as little as $20 and walk away with a bag full of memories. Still, it's a must stop for those who adore dust collectors, cheap jewelry, shells, shell necklaces etc. You will NOT be disappointed. Oh, and if you are here in season, the mini golf is loads of fun!

There were plenty of picnic tables to pick from both in the front area of the restaurant or in the back, where we chose! One line at the register to order sort of slowed things down a bit but nothing too long. We were able to place our order and get seated at a back picnic table rather quickly! The rear of the restaurant is surrounded by stockade fencing for privacy, which was nice. Our food came rather quickly when we were alerted by the blinking disc. We had fish tacos, a full clam bellies plate, shrimp plate and a macaroni and cheese order along with 4 cokes. All 5 of us were satisfied with our food. I ordered the clam plate and i was hoping for a bit more clams but it was not the end of the world. The shrimp plate was excellent. The fish tacos were really good with plenty to eat! Alot of times the fish tacos do not amount to alot of food but this order certainly did! We all left very happy!
