I guess cake doughnuts aren't my thing. Arrived to a line, which moved reasonably quickly and people in line were very friendly. The staff was friendly and helpful, with lots of choices on offer. We tried the sour cream, butter crunch?, chocolate glazed, toasted coconut and cruller stick. The cruller was so dry you must be expected to dunk it in coffee, but I had iced coffee. Toasted coconut was my favorite of the bunch, but overall the doughnuts were just not my taste. They were all very large a bit heavy which I assume is basic cake style, I guess with the high review score my expectations were very high. I rarely give 5 stars but Hole in One deserves it. What a find. We went to the other location yesterday and saw this one today so went in. Queer o meter a high five-ing 10! Most excellent. The staff is pleasant, mixed with attentiveness and sprinkled with perfection. The food is 100% what you are hoping it will be and that is glorious. Ham steak, topped with 2 perfectly done over hard eggs on a toasted bagel that's not a thomas'. Choices of cheeses and a great cup of joe. The two by two had 2 of the best pancakes I've had in forever. So golden brown, served hot so the butter melted and they were SO FLUFFY and light that the syrup absorbed nicely for bliss in every bite. The only complaint was I wished I ordered bananas in them ha ha which isn't a complaint it's my desire to be gluttonous. They were even kind enough to get us a specialty coffee from the other side - a highly specific americano (2 shots decaf, 2 shots reg, 2 pumps caramel with room left for cream - please). My wife knows what she likes and this was it. She said it was delicious and one of the best she's had. Me? Like I said cup of diner Joe. It was rich hot and hit the spot. Stopped in 2x during my annual week long visit in Eastham, it's just that good! Had to try an iced caramel latte and a chai latte, both were outstanding. Also indulged in some delicious sweets, namely the sugar bun and blueberry muffin, but the absolute standout was their sour cream donut. Wow, it was easily the best I've ever had. After scouring Yelp and Reddit, I decided I must come here to try doughnuts. The shop is very cute and no one was there when I popped in. Before I could add any drinks, she already told me the total. I added a drink, paid, and I was on my way out. The chocolate frosted doughnut was good and they are larger which I appreciated. I would say it's a solid doughnut and better than if you were to go to Dunkin or HoneyDew which are both below mid. The Muffin - I gave a few bites to, but donated to the local ravens. My first two bites, there was 1 blueberry. I know sometimes that happens so I bit the parts where they were quite obvious. It wasn't as soft as I hoped. Really wanted to like this place. I was looking for a good breakfast sandwich- sausage egg and cheese on a bagel. Found this place on yelp and it said they had them and donuts for the kids. After waiting in a very very long line outside for about 45 mins I was told I need to go next door to get breakfast sandwiches!!??? I had to wait in yet another line and then wait for my bagel sandwiches which were $10 each- ouch! The donuts were actually cheap but this evened it out. I was there for well over an hour just to get a donut, a muffin and two breakfast sandwiches. Not worth it! Not sure why all the reviews don't mention this but you CAN'T GET BREAKFAST SANDWICHES AT THIS PLACE - go next door to the fairway which also offers call ahead. Very very frustrating! Also the staff in both places seemed confused and discombobulated. As for the food yes the donut was good but not worth the wait. It had also been crushed by the muffin in the bag since the employee hadn't put the muffin in first.
