The person (Sorry! didn't get her name) who did all my eye testing was very competent and explained everything in detail. Dr. Lam was also excellent, answering all my questions and explaining everything in detail. I didn't have time to took at glasses but I'm sure that will be a good experience, too when I get back there. Thank you all!

When I looked down at the foor, the floor appeared 10 feet away, When looked up through the top portion of the lense same thing. The only time I could get sharp vision was if I looked through the very center of the lense. 2 months ago I decided to try a new pair. Had the exam from Dr. Lam, and like before I was escorted to the optical side of the building for new frames. Yesterday I went to pick them up, but while there I could read 8, 10 and 12 point type. But the lettering on the wall which was 20 inches tall was blurry. The sample reading card 8"x8" I was holding looked like a trapazoid! Not Square! The young lady who was fitting me for frames said "we made a mistake and "they" must have over prescribed the lenses. Finally, this morning I called at 9:50 to cancel my 10:15 appointment. I live 5 minutes away. They receptionist said they are going to charge me anothe $50 cancellation fee because they have a 15 minute window limitation on cancellations! Go figure! They will not grant a refund, not part of their policy, even though they admitted by their glass-fitter it to being their own error! They got their $$$ and all they can say is sorry.

I had an appointment with Dr. Rothbloom about two years ago. Initially he seemed pleasant, but over…read morethe course of the visit his manner felt condescending and dismissive. I did not feel listened to or respected, and the overall experience was uncomfortable. During the visit, he suggested bifocal contact lenses. I declined. He then told me that the contact lens prescription he arrived at was "the best he could do" because my eyes were "in between." The contacts were uncomfortable, and I struggled to see clearly both near and far. I remained in that prescription for about a year and a half, assuming the issue was my eyes rather than the fit. Recently, I saw my longtime optometrist, who reviewed that prescription and told me it was not an appropriate fit from the start. He restarted the exam from scratch and fitted me with a completely different type of contact lens. The improvement in comfort and vision was immediate. He also explained that bifocal contacts should not have been suggested to me based on my age and what he observed during the exam, as they were unnecessary. This was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with an optometrist, and I'm relieved to be back with a provider I trust now that I've moved. I'm sharing this so others feel empowered to seek a second opinion if something doesn't feel right.

First off, let me just say - the doctor at the Hiram location was very informative, patient, had…read moregreat bed side manner, and we trusted him throughout the process. An upgrade from the eye doctor at the Marietta location who we hoped would show the same level of care since she was part of the diaspora. Wrong. The pre-op process was ridiculously disorganized and the communication was TRASH. I had to call multiple times and physically go up there for answers that could have easily been answered over the phone. Their own staff member (not Porsha) informed me that following up isn't their ministry. When it was time to schedule the procedure, no one called to ask if the date was ok or discuss next steps. We just got an email. I called my mom to ask if she got a call back from the scheduler and she stated she had not. After a few more attempts, we were told that the date wasn't set in stone and that we would know a week before the procedure. I explained that we needed to know to bring it to our employers attention (multiple times), but they insisted that they would let us know the week before. A week later, no call; so I called Marietta Eye Clinic back. Porsha (sp) was super helpful and patient throughout this process. The communication was so poor that I had to ask if they treat everyone like this or...??? Porsha was able to finally get a supervisor on the line who walked us through all of the pre-op information. However, the date changed from the originally scheduled date to the day before; unbeknownst to us. The post-op instructions stated that my mom should avoid straining, but they failed to mention that the only medication they prescribed caused constipation. That was a whole other ordeal. Apparently, its not uncommon for medical staff to treat outpatient clients this way. However, for a procedure this expensive; I thought they would've taken more care. When its time to collect a check, their follow up is superb. Imagine that. There are other things that I could've mentioned, but this review is long enough. I'm giving them two stars - one for the eye doctor and one for Porsha, but the state of customer service and care is at an all time low. I'll update my review at the end of our experience, if anything changes.*

Well, $15,000 out of pocket and I am back to wearing glasses full time. Even worse is that prior to my surgery, I didn't need reading glasses. Now I can't even see the food on my plate when I eat! I have to wear prescription sunglasses during the day and regular glasses at night and when it's raining. The glare and halos at night make my driving scary and dangerous. I knew that with only 2 star reviews that I should have chosen another ophthalmologist but Dr. Cohen had a pretty strong sales pitch and I took the bait. Listen to the reviews and make your choice wisely. I had such high hopes of being glasses free for the firts time since i was 9 years old.

I actually like the Dr Fowler, but unfortunately the front desk staff is disorganized, unhelpful, and seemingly uninterested in doing their job. Each interaction feels like they're doing you a favor just by answering basic questions rather than providing patient care or problem-solving. I've gone in expecting to see the optometrist, only to find out he had called out. On Friday, I called to see if my trial contacts had arrived -- I was told someone would check and call me back. They never did. I called again today and was told the same thing...not going to wait. I will head there for the fourth time in one week just to get answers that should have been handled with a simple phone call. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service is extremely disappointing. If not for the doctor, plus the cost I wouldn't go back at all -- but the staff experience alone makes it hard to recommend this office to anyone.
