We were seated quickly and given our menu papers to order. VERY surprised to find that items that are standard at other AYCE sushi restaurants were a 'charge added' at this one. In addition, many items like chicken karage, were not even on the menue. Given the lack of staff (no blame here-we let it go) it took quite awhile for the server to pick up our order sheets. The Sunomono Salad was the first hint that something might be amiss. It came in a glass cup and the vinegar was yellow. Apple cider vinegar instead of rice vinegar, I think. My friend, who LOVES Sunomono salad couldn't eat hers. Then our items came in dribs and drabs. A California Roll and a couple of Inari (even though the menu said 3 pieces per order, and we ordered X2 (which should have been 6 pieces) we received 2 pieces. Then came the Tempura (sans the 2 prawns that comes with it EVERYWHERE else-prawns were an extra charge) and then the Yakisoba. Finally, the teriyakis come. 2 beef and 2 chicken. Teriyaki? A pile of fried cabbage and onion and 5 measly tiny pieces of chicken and another pile of fried cabbage and onion and 2 pieces of beef. NO TERIYAKI SAUCE!! Even though we both love cabbage, neither one of us could eat all of it. Then there is this-if you do not eat all of each dish, you are charged for that dish separately. So, my friend was charged an extra $5 for her unfinished Yakisoba (more cabbage mixed into lukewarm noodles). We complained about the huge amount of cabbage for each of the hot dishes and I felt that they should have not charged extra for the yakisoba. All in all a very disappointing AYCE lunch. The rolls were fine-nothing special. The Inari was fine. Everything else was sub-standard or non existent and having to pay extra for items that are standard at other sushi restaurants is a money grab. I will never eat here again and I will encourage my friends not to as well.

It is welcoming and cozy, great for a date night, the patio area just off to the side is really well set up with hanging garden lights to create an outdoor garden experience. Service is prompt and our server was really nice! What we ordered: Crab cake with side salad - generous sized crab cake is mostly crab meat and just enough fillers to hold it together. Tangy dressing on the salad. Smoked beet salad was delicious with a hint of smoke flavour and toasted sunflower seed, pumpkin and sesame seeds add to the overall taste and textures. Mains: Cioppino was very fresh with a tomato based fish broth had a wide variety of seafood- shrimp, squid, mussels, salmon, scallops and fennel, carrots, potatoes and onions, served with grilled sourdough. Very well done! Breaded red snapper was a generous piece of fish pan fried and topped with romesco sauce, served over risotto. This was also served with green beans and carrots. Thinly sliced pickled green beans added a bit of tangy crunch. Everything was prepared with care and cooked perfectly! We might have to come back on our way home! Yum!

The inside is tight but the courtyard was perfect for outdoor dining. Service was slow but food came out fairly quick. Cherry fig glace complimented the duck - Elk osso buco ($39.00) - special of the evening. Elk was a touch dry, scallop potatoes were delicious - Herb crusted Pacific red snapper ($31.00) - flaky and moist. Enjoyed the chive risotto, good variety of vegetables (carrots, asparagus, red pepper) - Cioppino ($30.00) - seafood stew with potatoes

We came…read morein after a long day at a nearby hockey tournament so it was definitely a full house, but based on rave reviews we were expecting much more than what we received. The ambiance was chill and the booths were roomy and comfortable but sadly that was probably the highlight of the meal. The server was ok but not overly friendly or attentive by any means. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, a pulled pork "bowl" and a small pizza. Nothing too crazy or over the top so we figured it was pretty simple and would be relatively fast. To our surprise it took a solid 40 minutes. We figured that one of the dishes may have taken a bit longer so we stayed patient, but when the food was served it was lukewarm nearing cold. The food was nothing special but maybe could have gotten another star had it been served hot. Sadly disappointed to be quite honest, the best part of the actual meal itself was the side of French fries that accompanied the pulled pork sandwich. Sadly, the menu prices definitely did not match the quality of food or rave reviews.

We were seated right away by a friendly host and our server who was super helpful throughout our visit. While we dined, the place got much busier and had a nice buzz to it. It had a distinct theme inside that aligns with its name and its selection of flagship brews. As I mentioned, we were hungry after a long drive so we obviously over ordered. We started with the Triple Threat Pull Apart Bread and the Crispy Pickles. Both were amazing! The bread was so soft and delicious and the pickles were savoury, but also spicy! Be warned! My partner ordered the Stuffed Yorkies because they weren't something we'd seen on a menu before. He loved them! The dish was three Yorkshire puddings stuffed full so it was also HUGE. I got the Flagship Mac and, honestly, for a place with multiple macs on the menu, it was remarkably unremarkable, unfortunately. Don't be discouraged, though! The quality of the rest of the food was so high that it made up for that tiny miss. If you're in Kamloops, check out The Noble Pig. They also have a great patio!
