Decent all you can eat buffet in this area. Very busy with all the tour busses going to Banff. Best thing here is prob the fried squid and fruits. Sushi is decent for buffet/price. The mango dessert was meh. Not pictured, but they do have and ice cream machine if you wanted ice cream. I did not try it. Broccoli and mushrooms was good. Chow mein was decent. Wontons are meh, you can skip it. Waitress here is very nice. Directed us where to sit and walked around providing people with water/pot of hot tea. read more

The buffet is always full/filled quickly when running low. The staff are always pleasent and friendly. A popular restaurant in town as it's probably one of the only actual buffets left in the shuswap/okanagon area! Excellent selection of desserts and an ice cream machine, the fruits are always fresh. This is a family favourite place and I come here often with my husband and daughter. Highly recommended. read more

I prefer the old Jade. Before the new owners took over. I personally think the food was better then. I found the noodles under cooked. The ginger beef tasted like the sechwan chicken. The red sauce had an odd taste to it. I don't think I will be going back any time soon. read more

Ordered sushi platter with 45 minutes notice. service was delayed by an additional 20minutes. I don't think they started until I arrived. Take out order, No chopsticks, napkins or anything. Sushi not bad but have had better. No offer for discount due to our wait. I will not be back. read more

Was so excited to have a dine in supper tonight at one of my favourite restaurants in town and had some lovely conversation with the owner. I let him know I'm happy to see he survived the "pandemic". Food was delicious as always....hot and fresh! Was very happy with my dinner tonight and will definitely be returning and I highly recommend it. read more

While the service was wicked. The original owners sold and the new owners seem to be trying to be the same. Keeping the name, a lot of the same menu items but not the same quality of flavour. Wasn't as good as I remember read more

Used to be my goto Chinese. The best BUT NOT anymore. Mangaement change and now the worst chinese food I have ever tasted. The beef broccoli and chickem chow mein was passable but the ginger beef and sweet and sour pork had soft meat like uncooked and pieces of the portions had no substance so I felt like I was eating pure lard. May have been uncooked. Returned the takeoout as I was gettin sick. read more

I didn't know you could make horrible chow mein...but they managed to do it. Everything was over cooked, greasy, and had probably been defrosted 5mins before we arrived. I felt sick the entire rest of the night from all the grease! Everything was awful; even the salad bar with watered down lettuce and salad dressing with a crusty film over it. The worst were the desserts. They were dry, overly sweet and the ice cream is 80% ice. I would not recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area, save your money (it's about $16 per person-ouch) go somewhere authentic and fresh! read more

Visiting Salmon Arm and ordered takeout for dinner. It was some of the best Chinese food we have had for our taste. It was freshly prepared, not from the buffet, and it did not have the usual heavy sauces and was not overly greasy. We had broccoli beef, chicken chow mein, vegetable egg foo yung, pork fried rice and wor won ton soup. It ended up being enough for 2 nights for four people. Some reviews said the food was bland, but all four of us found it delightfully fresh. read more

Jade Palace of China, I have been here a few times when we are in town. The food is typical for the North American taste when you have the buffet. A lot of deep fried or sweet dishes. I never touched the deserts, not my idea of Chinese food. There are some good dishes at the buffet so you have to watch what you pick. Unfortunately I have no photo's of the food but I do have a couple of the take out menu. My biggest objection to the buffet food is that often when they run out of popular food items it takes them a long time to fill them or not fill them up at all anymore. I remember a year I was there and they had a buffet and crab legs, problem was you had to be there when they opened if you would come an hour after they opened, to bad, so sad.....nothing. This time when they run out of their spicy shrimp in shell to took maybe 20-30 min before they filled they dish again. read more

Had the buffet on the weekend with wife and son / daughter in law. Very good selection of dishes. They were quick to replenish the dishes that we're getting low. The food was tasty and hot. We're from Victoria and thought the food was better then most smorgs down here. read more

Took a look at the buffet in the early evening...hmm? Asked a customer who had just finished how it was...not warm enough. A no no for me. So ordered a combination from the menu. Piping hot but the blandest fried rice I have had anywhere...poured on the soya sauce...a first. My vegetarian friend was happy as he could order a quite reasonable salad bar meal. Waitress was attentive but there are other choices for chinese food. read more

did not enter this establishment by choice. terrible food with terrible staff. witnessed staff member yelling at a customer for no apparent reason. The staff member was a large Asian female with short hair. Even after that customer sat down, the staff member continued to rant and scream about how "rude" the customer was. She was shouting so loudly, every person in the restaurant could hear. The boss just looked on from behind the counter. greasy disgusting food, small selection. dirty plates and sticky tables and floors. did not get foodborne illness but felt sick/nauseous after eating at this place. read more
