There fish and chip are really good,they should have a day were you can get a lower price for people.

We were at C Lovers for lunch a couple weeks ago and we were so disappointed. We ordered the halibut and I am not exaggerating when I say the fish was about 1/4" thick. The time before that, when our waitress brought our lunch to the table, she looked at our plate and said, "That's too small" and brought us another piece. Won't be going back there any time soon. I don't know what is going on with this location of Clovers we have been coming here for over 12 years we come at least twice a month. in the last 2 months we have sent back our food 3 times as the fish and or shrimp were so drenched in oil you could ring it out with your fingers. The staff are great the service is good but if they don't find a cook that knows how to use a frier correctly they are going to start losing customers, we are already looking for a new place to eat. read more

The best fish and chips my wife and I ever had. The environment was very cozy and relaxing, including the quiet but mellow music. Service was friendly and prompt, but never rushed. An inviting family atmosphere. We appreciated the selection of different varieties of fish and portion sizes. I started with the C-Food (fish) Chowder. We split The Ultimate Dinner for 2 which had fried fish, onion rings, prawns and of course chips. A great full-sized sampler platter for first-time visitors. I appreciated that everything, including the chowder, was unsalted, because it allowed us to salt to taste. The batter on the fish, onion rings and prawns was amazing. Very light. Sort of between tempura and a more traditional batter. The chips were a perfect mix of smaller crispy bits that my wife enjoys and the softer but still crisp larger ones that I prefer. They so were so good my wife asked them to take away the plate because we were already stuffed :) The C-Food Chowder was good as well. As a person from the New England region of the US, I'm used to a creamy chowder, but theirs wasn't creamy at all. I appreciated the lighter and fresher taste with a good balance of vegetables and potato. For anyone visiting or passing through the Vernon area, I would definitely recommend. read more

I've always drive by but never went in until yesterday. I found the interior nice and clean, went into bathroom before eating and clean as well. My server was super friendly and greeted us right away and was fast at getting us our drinks. Their was approximately 10 others table with customers around 2 pm. They had another waitress on as well. We all ordered the all you can eat, as we all where very hungry. Each of our plate where equally portioned with the amount of fries and fish. I am thinking it was either pollock or cod fish. I really enjoyed the lightly batter fish a little small but you can always order more! The fries though where crisp but not over cooked. Everyone not just I thought they were a bit greasy. Maybe to hot of a fryer or cooked too long. The fish on the other hand didn't taste greasy at all. Our server was great with seeing if we wanted more fish how many and if we wanted more fries. We definitely ate more fish. She even made sure our drinks are top up. I witnessed the other staff member doing her best as well. Over all great service and good fish, I would have gave it full stars if only the fries were better. read more

This restaurant does take-out and dine-in. We dined in and we're given very good service, clean tables and exceptional food. The halibut we had was fresh and very tasty, prawns were fresh and battered just right! Our waitress shone with a great spirit and helpfulness that made us feel at home. Doesn't look overly inviting from the road, but bright, open and spacious enough inside. Had the all you can eat special, it was fantastic! The first we're great and the fish was nicely battered and not soggy at all, very well cooked. All the condiments you would want for a nice fish supper. Place didn't have that 'fishy' smell that you would expect in a fish place. Polite staff that were very attentive and fast service. Today I convinced my friends to go to C-Lovers. I'm a big fish fan and had never been here so I went out on a wim and lied to them. I told them that I've been here before and that it was exceptional. I got the AYCE Fish&Chips and my friends got onion rings and the infamous "C Dog". Needless to say, the fish was alright but I lost 3 friends today. Ive lived in Salmon Arm for approx 11 years. Born and raised Vancouver Island girl. Ive been looking for Fish n chips that remind me off home ever since moving here. IVE FOUND IT. I've driven past this place many times but never stopped in. Today, i thought what do i have to lose. This was my last effort to find good fish and chips. The outside looks worn but the inside is spacious, clean and nicely decorated (no cheesy ocean themes here) also i was impressed that it didn't smell greasy. Waitresses are SO NICE, efficient, check in on you often and know their menu well. THE FOOD.... Since moving here ive never been able to eat fish batter, so thick so greasy makes my tummy spin. I can eat theirs, all of it...so thin, light and crispy batter and PERFECTLY cooked fish ! Same can be said of their other deep fried options. The mushy peas are also yummy, coleslaw had good flavor and crunchy. My family had an amazing experience here, all round 10 star visit. read more
