Sorry, we can't support this restaurant anymore. We've been regular customers for 10 years but the prices have gotten higher & higher & the portions smaller. The nachos are kids size, no guacamole & $35. We could live with the prices but we go here maybe 20 times per year, this year we went to celebrate a birthday, the place was overrun with wasps. We ended up having to be moved inside which is fine but inside is overrun with wasps also! So next thing a wasp lands in my beer & the waitress says she can bring another one but I'll have to pay another $8!! What??? Maybe find the wasps nest & take care of it how about? I ordered fish tacos. I received 2 soggy tacos. The flour tortillas were raw and sitting in some sort of liquid. I sent them back and they scooped the contents on to 2 new raw tortillas. When i asked why the tortillas weren't grillled, i was told we dont do that. Paid $21 for 4 shrimp. The rest was un-edible. I asked the server if she relayed my comments to the chef. Her reply was hes new and menu is new. Prices are new too and not in a good way! The worst meal i have ever had !!! read more

I did not like eating at Finz, and I have tried on three different occasions. I have had their Fish & Chips and they were so and so, their pizzas were subpar and their burgers with fries were almost inedible. I did not care for the outdoor dining either, even if it did had a good view of the lake. I really wanted to like this place because others have spoken highly of Finz. But there is almost nothing to like about it. read more

We made a reservation a day ahead of our reservation and asked the server if the patio was dog friendly since we were traveling with a dog. Not only was the hostess staff fake and rude when we got there on the day of our reservation, they also told us we couldn't bring our dog into the patio area when we were told over the phone while making the reservation that they allowed dogs on the patio. Do not come here if you have dogs or are traveling with one. They do not accommodate and are rude. Highly unsatisfied with our experience. read more

We came here after hiking the Balmoral trails and Flume trails. We got seated promptly at a table on their covered patio with a view of the dock on the lake. My friend and I both got sangrias to start. She got the red while I got the white. Both tasted boozy and delicious, with frozen berries, an orange slice, and mint on top as garnish. We also both got the fish and chips. The serving was generous and quite filling. The fish was crispy and not too greasy and paired well with the fries and coleslaw. Service was good. read more

I was lucky enough to visit this place after a long day on the lake. The waitress was super nice considering 6 of us came in looking like soaked rats. We were given our drinks right away and our orders were taken. The food tasted great and the atmosphere was also really good, busy and bustling with good energy. It's situated right on the lake. All of our food was brought out at the same time and was nice and hot, the place was clean too. I'll forsure be back during my next trip to bc. read more

Steak sandwich (no one really liked this, 3 people at our table ordered it) Shrimp appetizer (this was tasty) We were there 2 hrs and 40 mins, table of 6, other people with us said they have never had service that slow, so may have been a one off experience as far as that goes since it was getting close to their end of season perhaps they were a bit short staffed. read more

We went to Finz on recommendation of our host. The staff was awesome - polite and prompt. The food was okay. I had a caesar salad (good) and a brownie parfait (I suspect the brownie came from a package). My friend had the steak which he described as "okay" and creme brulee, which was a bit burnt. The prices were more $$$ than $$. The view (it was sunset) was beautiful! read more

If you are in the area, do not miss out on Finz. Fantastic service, great food and the views of the Shuswap, is the icing on the cake. I would eat here everyday if I could. The menu has a good variety of items as well as a good kids menu. If your not a seafood lover, you will not feel limited to ordering fish, there is something for everyone. I had the blackened shrimp salad. Really good portion, not skimpy at all and the variety of veggies were really satisfying. I wish I remembered my servers name, she was very nice and efficient but I have a feeling no matter who your server is at Finz, you will have a great experience. read more

Waste of time and money First waited for over 1/2 he for appys. Calamari was excellent but that was the last of 'good'. The Shrimp Ceviche was more like a fruit salad. They said they like to 'change things up', well, with this they should have renamed it Spicy Fruit Salad with a few Shrimp. I've never had bad Fish 'N Chips before, but they were not good here. The fish tasted like it had been sitting in water for awhile, all mushy and the chips were soggy. Tried to make things better but the gravy was tasteless. Heard them say they were out of wings and French fries while waiting to pay. Who is out of those sort of things at 7:15 on a holiday weekend. Although they comp'd the Ceviche, it was still over priced and not worth it. The restaurant across the bay was hands down better and less pricey. read more

We went to Finz tonight for my Father-in-law's 60th birthday and were not disappointed. We had a table reserved for 8 on the patio for 6:30. The patio is covered, so you can be outside even if it's raining. If you sit on the patio you get a lovely view of the lake. If it's nice, they open up the side windows on the patio and let the fresh air in. We drove the boat over from Celista and it took us about 15 minutes to get there. There is plenty of parking for both boats and vehicles. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. Our drinks and food all arrived in a timely manner. The entire table had the fish and chips, and we also had some of the tempura shrimp and flatbread for appies, all of it was delicious! The service, did, and atmosphere were all fantastic. We will definitely be back next summer. read more

This is probably my favourite place to come... has never been said. Bring scrabble, bring monopoly, bring an oxygen tank cuz you're going to be here for a long time. If you're a gold digger, bring your old senile husband here because honey, he's going to be dead and you'll be rich by the time you get your food. We're talking service running at the fast pace of a sloth on depressants. We're talking two hours and food has not arrived and I can't even judge the waitress because she's invisible. Wife and I stayed a couple nights at Shuswap Lake at my coworker's cabin and Finz was recommended for a nice place to eat. After looking at the menu online, nothing really wowed us so we were on the fence about going at all. However, after the rain let up and the sun came out for the evening, we decided to make the trip out (we were staying on the north side of the lake). Since it was one week after Labour Day, we got there at prime time and the restaurant was busy but we didn't have to wait at all. I can see how this can get super busy during peak season in the summer time though. We took a seat on the patio. We got calamari to start, while I ordered the salmon burger and my wife got prawn tacos. I would say that the calamari was delicious but small portions. They just had a pile of garnish and put the calamari over top making it look like more than it really was. My salmon burger was excellent though. It was actually a real piece of salmon rather than an actual burger patty that you purchase in the frozen section. I also got the salad to go with my burger and it was surprisingly really good. I didn't try the prawn tacos but my wife had no complaints. Overall, decent food, a bit pricey, but amazing views. read more

This space is so nice, the view is To start i had a bellini, very good but also served in a small glass. Starter food, i had the crab cakes and they were delicious. For the main i had the fish and chips, they were ok. Fish had to be sent back due to being very dark very greasy and very over cooked and almost nothing but batter. The fries were shoestring barely warm and undercooked. My mom had the cesar salad and loved it. My sister had a chicken burger and said it was ok. The price is pretty on par for local places to eat but the food is really hit and miss so not worth the price for some things. I will not order the fish and chips again. Our waitress was awesome, speedy, friendly and replaced the fish no problem. Overall it was just, ok. I left regretting my dinner choice but ill try again one more time, before i decide not to go back. read more

We were told upon booking that Finz bar & grill was the best in the Shuswap! We looked forward to it as the location is great! We were disappointed when we stopped in for lunch during our weekend stay. Our server was less than polite to start off. We each had a Caesar and they were awful. Thick, spices tasted almost spoiled. One was so bad it had to be remade. wonton prawns I wouldn't recommend, very bland and the dipping sauce was like thousand island dressing? Not great Caesar salad dressing was so overpowering, straight garlic. Nachos were the pretty good, so we shared those and then decided to leave. read more

Friend recommended this place, overlooking copper island/blind bay....looked up yelp...only 3 star....however, our party of 3 found food quite good for being in middle of nowhere. Service was impeccable...but we were only one of 3 tables on a very large covered patio area...could get busy in high season. I had Cuban sandwich 'wrapped in lettuce ' and house salad. House salad amazing...I could go back for just that. Pulled pork ok...little dry...could use some bbq sauce... hubby had fish and chips...he's picky...but loved it. Guest had flatbread...also good. House special drink of day...'blueberry mojito' amazing ..'That should be a regular on the drink list'. Drinks/beer list lots selection...which you'd expect being waterfront restaurant. We've not been to restaurant for years...but was pleasantly surprised by food quality and esp service... and 'view...'. And for boaters...u can park boat at marina...bonus. Will be back! read more
