No freezer donuts!!…read more Are you like me? Do you miss the days of made from scratch donuts? Are you saddened by the flocks of people, only too happy to eat frozen cardboard, heated up, served with a sludgey drink? This little gem is right up your alley then. Thye owner, was a former Timmy's franchisee, who disagreed with the move to frozen, and opened up his own shop in an old Tim's location. I know!! Anyways, on my last trip to Kamloops I noticed it and had to try it, I ended up going three days in a row. Delicious donuts, all from scratch, and tasty, drinkable coffee. What a concept. :D

Probably the best value meal we've had during our time in Canada so far. $15 CAD for AYCE lunch…read morebuffet; drinks are $2.99 CAD and are refillable. We were seated immediately, and near the buffet area too. Grab a metal bowl and get started! Three types of noodles, lots of vegetables / other sides, three types of pre sliced / frozen meat, and lots of sauces! I'd recommend starting off with small portions of what you want to be mixed because the bowl fills up rather quickly, and if it's your first time here, you're not going to know which of the sauces you like mixing into your food. I wish the restaurant provided some beginner combinations for their newer patrons to circumvent this. After you grab your raw ingredients, you set them onto a counter where the chef will take them from you to cook! Definitely fun to see your food being made in front of you, but it's not that novel of a process so watching it the first time is enough to satiate you. Once done, just take your plate from him and you can move down to put even more sauce / toppings onto your meal before eating it. As I said before, I wish the restaurant gave us sauce recommendations to start ourselves out with because I found my first plate to be fairly bland; I either didn't use enough sauce or I didn't mix mine well enough to have a better depth of flavor. My second plate was much better. Service was a little lacking despite being seated quickly. Drink orders were taken and delivered in a timely manner, but it was a bit hard to flag our waitress down for a refill. Also, I had to wait a bit for the cook to come back from somewhere, and by that time other customers were also waiting for their food to be cooked as well. I can't imagine the wait time for getting your food cooked when this place gets busy. Overall, a nice experience and good value for what it was. Definitely could've been better though, hence the four stars.

Mongolian has been a favourite and my visit to Kamloops brought me to this place for a buffet lunch…read more. 14.99 for weekdays buffet and the concepts plays the same way as most Mongolian do , starting from picking an empty bowl and filling ur bowls with noddles veggies proteins and sauces for the thrill to grill by the grill Chef of Hoja. Good thing is that if you waste food here u need to pay a fine of $5 , so folks are cautious while taking second n third helping from the buffet . We asked the grill chef to add spicy teriyaki sauce to the mix while grilling , a minute grill makes the food quite appetizing ! The only disappointment I had was choice of protein is limited to beef/pork/chicken , no option for seafood ,one point lost by the place due to not much variety in proteins !! May be they will work on this in future !! Also tag ur food images on Facebook and get 5% discount . Visit was delightful!!!.

The fettucine was also very good but the pizza was truly epic. Wine prices are reasonable. All the food is fairly priced for the quality and portion size. The service was also terrific. We felt bad because they were trying to close but since we did not get there until 1/2 hour before closing we were relaxing with our wine and food when they closed the doors. We apologized but they were very gracious and told us to take our time. I'm sorry I don't remember our server's name.
