We were hungry and we found this place. There were many people inside so we have it a try. Glad we came. The food was fantastic. They are obviously known for breakfast and brunch but we wanted to have lunch. We are looking at the menu and then..... it is also a Filipino restaurant!!! We had no idea. We never had Filipino food but what the heck, we ordered one our server suggested. Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow!!! If you drive through this area, you should stop here for sure. read more

It's true it doesn't look like much from the outside but it's family run and they have fresh baked bread and buns made fresh everyday. We just had breakfast, I had egg Benny with a home made bun (soo friggen good) and my boyfriend had French toast with bacon and he ate most of it without syrup the bread was that good! Everyone was very friendly came and checked in on us, as well had real conversations with us. A+ and we will definitely be back! read more

Wow. I've had the pleasure of eating in many a small town diner throughout BC, but never have I had such a bad experience. The coffee was the worst I've ever had. It tasted like someone made it from used, leftover coffee grounds that they just boiled in hot water and strained out. My friend ordered a club sandwich and they brought him a plate of bacon and eggs instead. If he'd had them correct his order, the rest of us would have been done eating. They never bothered to bring me the orange juice that I ordered (to get rid of the awful coffee taste) and they didn't bring us any jam after a few requests. The waiter 'remembered' when we were ready to pay, and he thought this was very funny. It's a shame, because the decor inside is super cute and charming. I never expect high end food in a diner like this, but usually the strength lies in warm, friendly people and kind service. Something that makes the experience charming and like having a meal at your aunt's house. No one here seemed to care much about their service, the food, or what they were doing. Won't be back, when I'm in Vernon next. read more

Wow! What a find. Very cute decor, attentive service and efficient. I had a Denver omelette, no problem with making it egg white only. Choice of hash browns shredded or cubed. Shredded were excellent with a hint of green onion and lightly crisped. Affordable too, 4 breakfasts and coffee $40. The real treat is the specialty toast...purple yam bread and sweet potato bread. This was our first, and last, visit to this restaurant. We went because we'd read pretty good reviews about it. Our experience was anything but good. First, my daughter and I used the washroom after we ordered and there was urine splattered all over the seat. Not a little drip or two. Full on soaked. There were sprinkles all over the floor as well. Filthy. Next, our order arrived. The food tasted good enough, but then my daughter pulls a piece of plastic out of her mouth. It was a jagged-sharp, triangular-shaped piece of yellow plastic, about the size of a nickel. It had been baked right into her pancake. It looked to be a piece of kitchen utensil or bowl that had chipped and dropped into the batter. We waved the server over, and showed her. She apologized and we heard her holler to the kitchen as she left our table, taking the plastic piece with her. My daughter couldn't eat after that, and I felt more and more nauseous with each bite. We finished up quickly, leaving most of my and my daughter's food untouched. When my husband went to pay, he asked that they take the price of our daughter's meal off the tab. They refused! The woman said, "I'll give it to you for five dollars." I was astounded! My husband doesn't like conflict, so didn't push it. I'd already left with my daughter, or I would have. What kind of restaurant does that? I am fully aware random accidents can happen in a kitchen, but take responsibility for it. Making us pay for a meal my daughter couldn't eat, because of their mistake? Bad business. The way they handled, or rather did not handle, this incident left us feeling this was a dis-reputable business. Had they offered to comp the inedible meal, rather than us having to ask, and then be denied, could have changed the way we felt about the entire incident. Horrible service. So cute. We wanted good, solid breakfast- so off a reccomendation from my roommate, we went to try Rosalinda's. And we were not disappointed. It was almost full, but the waiter was friendly, efficient and didn't leave us without anything. Good service, and fit exactly what the place is- a small town diner. Food was quick, hot and plentiful. We ate everything and we were more than happy with it. Defs will be returning. read more

We happened by looking for a place to eat breakfast. It was busy, but not crazy on a Sunday at 11 am. We were seated right away. I had the Spanish Omelette and my husband had French toast - both were excellent. They have a good mix of traditional Food and Filipino food. They make their own breads and pastries from scratch - all of which were so delicious. I had the sweet potato bread on the recommendation of the waitress and loved it. Rosalinda owns the restaurant and cooks every meal and it really tastes like a home cooked meal. I would love to go back for lunch or dinner and try her Filipino selections. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient - keeping our coffee cups full! What a hidden gem. read more

Just went to Rosalinda's for lunch, was not impressed. I suspect the only thing they actually make in that restaurant is their bread. The gravy, mashed potatoes, French fries, chicken strips and nuggets are totally processed and warmed up to order. if you're going to use mixes and powders you might as well do it yourself at home and save some money. Stopped in on the way down from Silver Star around 8am on a Sunday and the place was already packed. Very homey and simple, we were warmly welcomed, quickly seated and served coffee. Service was prompt and friendly and we enjoyed our breakfast very much - Country French Toast and Bacon & Eggs. Fresh, hot and i suspect they make their own bread because it was delicious. Sunday Breakfasy with friends. Restaurant was packed at 9:30 am. Service was slow with young teens waiting tables and 2 of our orders were not exactly as ordered but I put that to how busy it was. I thought this place would be a winner. Sadly, I lost and left hungry. Firstly when you don't eat much on your plate and you return the full plate of food to the owner I would expect they would ask what they can do to make it right. Rosalinda did not. it's not like she was mean at all however, she asked what was the problem? I said it tasted bad. The ham was fatty, eggs undercooked and it all reeked of cheap ingredients (i thought that but didn't say that it reeked as I didn't want to sound rude) She said sorry you didn't like it and rang up the full price. The brekky I ordered was the eggs Benny, which had a very obvious packaged powder sauce. The eggs were undercooked and it was not on an English muffin it was on a piece of white bread cut into two slices. Even the cutlery which, although metal was as flimsy as plastic. Cheap cheap cheap. it tastes like they do not care about you. I lost money in the stock market that didn't feel as bad as that $11.75! Other people gave this restaurant decent reviews and I honestly don't have any idea why. Sorry Rosalinda it would have to be pretty drastic change to get me back there. read more

Great place, very clean and well decorated, great selection of Traditional Filipino food, and Canadian Diner fare. Friendly staff, and what seemed to be a lot of regular customers the staff knew by name. They can add us to the list of regulars now. We bought a dozen of their homemade Pandesal ( Filipino bread ) and it was the best we have had outside of the Philippines. Much better than the mass produced frozen and price inflated breads found at local Philippine grocerie stores in the Okanagan. read more

GREAT food; have eaten there several times, and gotten take out as well, and it's always good food, and lots of it! One of the best breakfast "Benny's" around, and also one of the best sweet & sour chicken dishes: flavour out of this world. The homemade bread is fantastic (all types equally tasty!!), and the empanadas are to die for, as are the deserts....if I could I would gladly eat here every day of the week. read more

Modern, bright, spotless, quick service generally. And above all good food at moderate prices. This is a really convenient spot for us as my partner insists on an omellete every time we eat out and I like ethnic choices and variety. This supplies both our wants. Parking is unusually easy for Vernon too. It does close in mid-afternoon like most cafes. read more
