This was the highlight of our trip. I came here with 4 other friends. One of my friend who is also a yelper has been here and highly recommend this place. When you first arrive there are two parts to the restaurant. One part is just for food and the other is for cake and desserts. We knew we wanted food so we went to the entrance on the right. The menu is quite simple and they specialize on French pastries/breakfast items. I got the Westcoast Montreal Bagel. They really nailed it. I love the smoke salmon in it along with the alfalfa. The bagel was made the Montreal way. It was nice and chewy. It had the right texture. I loved it. B had the large poutine. It was a bit peppery but that was very tasty. They were very generous on the cheese curd which was really nice. Seating can be hard to find given the restaurant isn't very big. There are seatings outside as well. Most people eat and then leave. We ended up sitting on the sofa with the fireplace which was not bad. We do prefer a normal table that was ok for us. I tried a piece of my friend's sticky bun and that was very tasty as well. This visit to La Baguette I had a delicious BLT on a Montreal style bagel, all dressed with pickles and micro greens. The bagel was soft and not heavy and toasted perfectly. If you get the BLT make sure you get it all dressed as the tangy from the pickle elevates the Sandwhich. Services was good, staff were friendly and prompt. The pastries didn't really stand out, and the coffee leaned more creamy and milky than I prefer. The place has a lot going on with gelato, food, and alcoholic drinks in different sections. One standout was basically an Irish coffee style drink that was smooth and hid the alcohol completely. It was so good we almost ordered a second within minutes. On the way back to Seattle from Banff we stopped in Revelstoke BC at the Tesla supercharger. A quick search for food places nearby revealed La Baguette that seemed promising, so we decided to get some breakfast. We initially thought we'd get some espresso beverages, but upon looking at the pastries lineup we decided to go all in and get some viennoiserie and some cakes. The cruffin was very good, the cream was a bit of a let down because I was expecting custard cream, but it was a lemon cream. Not bad at all, but it conflicted with my expectations, my bad, I should have asked. Anyway it was very good. The chocolate mousse cake was excellent, especially dipped in espresso! The other coffee pastry was also good, but not memorable. Espresso drink were very good too. We got a piccolo, a cortado (no clear difference from the piccolo) and a mocacchino. The place is huge with a restaurant attached, the pastry/espresso shop has a nice European vibe to it. They seem very particular about their sourdough baguettes as they have signs stating that they don't slice it until a certain hour in order to preserve the freshness. Incredible restaurant in this small town! We almost had breakfast at our hotel, which only had a sad breakfast sandwich on the menu. Sooo glad we decided to try something else and we lucked out with this place. The crepes were good, with fresh fruit. The sunshine bowl had all the right veggies we like including zucchini, sweet potato, and crispy kale. They also had a bunch of pastries we wanted to try, and even a pizza menu. Wonderful place for breakfast or food. Just remember to come before 11 am as that's when the breakfast menu ends. The place is a bit confusing as it has two sides. Go left for take out if you're getting just baked goods, treats and ice cream. Go right for dine in service. Read the signs as there was no staff to ask when we were there. They were busy. If you want to dine in and have a hot meal, grab the menu and head to the counter to place your order. Despite the sign saying they will seat you, they didn't. We found a table a group just vacated and grabbed that. When we left, other customers got our table. But the staff will clean the table if you managed to flag them down. We shared the honey pecan sticky bun and the brunch plate. Both were so good! The sticky bun was really sticky and sweet but in a good way. Best to share that. The brunch plate had lots of stuff - two eggs, maple habanero sausage (that caught my eye), bacon, crepe, baked beans, fruits, roasted potatoes, toast, jam, house made ketchup and maple syrup. It was a good thing we shared that too. There are many types of seatings here. Tables, long high table, an area where the table fire is with 3 sections that can be shared with strangers. You're still far apart to have private conversations. There are paintings on the walls for sale. Artwork prints and merchandise are also available for purchase. Unfortunately I didn't get to try more baked goods and ice cream. Maybe next time when I'm back in Revelstoke. We stopped by La Baguette to pick up some quick food for lunch later that day, as we needed something to eat during our hike. We came on a Saturday morning around 9:30, and there were only a couple folks in line. They didn't offer any indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor seating was available. My friend grabbed a falafel spiced veggie wrap and I got a three meat croissant (both were $7.25). When we ate the food a couple hours later, they were still delicious. Not only does this place showcase local art (for sale), it's also a high end grab and go market, great for picnicking or stocking up your campervan, it's also a bakery complete with gelato (get the huckleberry, which is indigenous to this and the Montana region). We indulged in delicious a local sour brew on tap, a stellar herbal tea served in a super cool dispensable kettle, a thick, heart seasonal cheese soup made with local cheese and a smoked salmon sammy on a thin, crispy Montreal style bagel. We loved everything and our time spent here so much. We felt like we were in a boho type ski lodge and adored it. It's a grab and go style place, but it's super cute and homey. We were told about this place by the super-friendly waiter in the Fairmont Banff springs hotel (of all places!) He told us that on our drive back home to Vancouver, we HAD to stop here for a BLT bagel. He also mentioned that we should take some croissants home as well. Well, I am glad we listened to him! My husband had the BLT and I had a perfect salmon and cream cheese bagel. Both were slightly toasted to perfection and crammed with truly tasty toppings. They were also less than $6. My family and I made a last second decision to eat brunch at this place before heading to Vancouver, and it was the best decision we ever made! The staff inside are super friendly, the food is absolutely amazing, and the location/ambience is perfect with or without company. I had the smoked meat poutine - my only complaint was that the fries were a tad burnt, but the meat was by far the most tender and flavorful I've ever had, and the generous portions more than made up for the fries. What a find. Some of the best tasting/value lunch food we have had in North America ever. We stopped in on our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver. It's very hit and miss, we've had some ok food and some not so good food. Service is extremely slow, always. The Parisian sandwich is a piece of baguette and a few slices of Brie slapped in it, I ordered with prosciutto but they missed that part. When you're already on the road it's not an option to go back to have it rectified and we waited over half hour for 2 sandwiches. We've tried and given the benefit of the doubt a few times now but will not go back. I certainly hope the 25c eco fee on each coffee is going to protecting the environment, I realize it's to discourage single use items, but this is probably just a money grab. read more

This review is for the cafe'/restaurant part of La Baguette. Not sure why it says Catering, I'm sure they do that but, that isn't what we were utilizing. The hot chocolate here is perfection in a cup. Not too sweet, just perfect chocolatey goodness. Breakfast dishes are very well prepared and good portions. Service is attentive, professional and friendly. We had to wait for a car repair and they told us we were welcome to stay as long as we wished. This was very generous given how busy they seem to stay. We went 2 days in a row during our visit to Revelstoke ( infact the first day we had breakfast & returned in the evening for dessert too!) The second day was just breakfast, because we were leaving town. The Rosti Stacks were flavorful and creative. The eggs were well cooked & sourced from organic local farms. I read another review where someone insisted his Rosti stack was overcooked. There were part a of it that were quite dark, both days we had it, but it seemed like that was to ensure parts of it were crispy, it didn't seem overcooked. Everyone we interacted with there was more than helpful and friendly so I suspect that other reviewer was being difficult and pushy when the servers told him that was how the stack was normally prepared. If this place was closer to where I lived I would have great difficulty staying away. I would LOVE to know the secret to their hot chocolate. I don't think I've ever had any better. They offer white, milk & dark versions; I had the milk version with whipped cream....every time... :) read more
